17/10/2025: Highly recommended. Excellent local Matera cuisine served in generous portions. The staff is courteous and professional. The restaurant is elegant, with cloth-lined tables. The terrace overlooking the Sassi is actually a window, but considering the reasonable prices, it's a restaurant worth trying.
11/10/2025: Excellent dinner, we asked to be able to dine inside with a view of the Sassi and they obliged us, good and well cooked food

15/02/2026: At the lady's recommendation, we chose the house antipasti, traditional local dishes, truly appetizing and fresh. Then came the cavatelli with chunky ragù and an entrecote with fried potatoes. These dishes also exceeded our expectations. The service was very friendly and attentive. We definitely recommend this trattoria, and if we return to the area, it will definitely be one of our favorites. Thank you for everything!

05/01/2026: Very convenient location: not exactly in the hustle and bustle of the historic center, but still very close. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, clean and bright. The owner is very kind but discreet. There aren't many tables, so reservations are essential or you risk being left empty-handed. The menu doesn't offer a huge number of dishes, but they're small, well-prepared, and tasty. It's obviously a matter of taste, but we liked it. The price we paid was fair. If it were in my city, I'd go back. Congratulations!

24/02/2026: The service was good and fast but the pizza had no taste, it certainly made with low quality ingredients and was a bit burnt. The cocktail was very good to compensate a bit.

03/01/2026: This review is for a dinner for two. The atmosphere is nice, a typical restaurant in the Sassi district. There's a limited selection of pizzas, but they're all delicious, including the one we chose. It's among the best we've had in Matera. The downside of the evening was the service. There was an excessive wait to order, and even worse after finishing the pizza. We waited a bit too long for dessert, which arrived a bit too late. Likewise, a couple of tourists at the table next to us left because of the excessive wait. Not good. One improvement I'd suggest is better communication among the staff (which probably needs to be improved on nights like this).

The owner was very kind and friendly, making us feel at ease right away. The place is clean, welcoming, and well-kept. A place that deserves to be known and appreciated. A wonderful discovery that we highly recommend!

14/02/2026: On the menu, the dish I chose was described as featuring vegetables with different textures due to the cooking process. Despite the high price, I decided to order it—a terrible decision. I received five steamed lettuce leaves, which I had to repeatedly ask the waiter for oil and salt to give them any flavor. He forgot, and I ended up eating them plain. The "sharing" dishes are listed as such on the menu, but then they charge double. It's ridiculous. Horrible.
14/02/2026: The place is really hidden and it was hard to get to, but it was nice inside. One of the waiters who served us was nice, but the otherone was very rude. The food took ages to arrive and although it was tasty, it wasn't worth the price for the quantity or quality. I left here very angry, late, and hungry. A disaster!

Fennel pie appetizer was simply delicious in every way! Full of taste along with a cheese pie to complement it.
Square spaghetti was so different and delicious- we savored every bit! Cavatelli with.cod and tomatoes was superb and savory! Just a great delicious experience !

07/01/2026: Highly recommended, lunch on January 5th was excellent. I highly recommend it. They didn't give us a menu with prices, but we had no unpleasant surprises; the quality of the food and service was excellent for the price. Thanks to the owner for the orecchiette pasta made for our baby, they were truly delicious. The ravioli with creamed peppers were delicious, and the cod was delicious, with a very balanced flavor and fennel sauce. Go there, it's top-notch cuisine!
28/12/2025: I'd love to tell you how the food is, but we couldn't even get in...even though the place was completely empty, the owner was getting ready to smoke a cigarette, and the waiters were all folded...it was completely booked!
You wouldn't think they have a welcoming attitude!

05/01/2026: MAGICAL ATMOSPHERE
I went to this restaurant to celebrate New Year's Eve with my partner and friends.
I must say it was a wonderful experience: the venue was very elegant, the staff were polite and friendly, and the food was well-cooked and carefully presented on the plate.
It's definitely a high-end restaurant, so I'd suggest white gloves for the waiters to further enhance its luxury, and I'd suggest playing some background music during dinner. But these are just suggestions; honestly, I have no complaints, and I'll gladly return.
23/10/2025: Food is indeed interesting, some meals were not my cup of tea but a nice experience. Getting the bill took quite some time. They had a problem and apparently had to write everything by hand, didn’t receive a real bill. Strange is that they made a mistake with the bill and they “calculated” the amount with 28€ more on top. I usually never check but decided to do this time. Keep this in mind and check your bill when you go there.
