Camelot Bistrot In Policoro

My partner and I went to this little place in the center of Policoro. A charming and well-kept place with an outdoor terrace overlooking a small square. For appetizers, we had octopus meatballs, which were truly delicious, and fried cod with cruschi peppers, which were also very good. We continued with two octopus sandwiches: both were exquisite. I especially enjoyed the black one with octopus, capocollo, and figs. A truly perfect combination. It's a shame about the capoccolo; if there had been a little more, the dish would certainly have been more balanced. But overall, it was truly delicious. Since we were so hungry, we also had the octopus with mashed potatoes: the best surprise of the evening. The octopus was incredibly tender and masterfully flavored with oregano, which really gave that extra touch and made this dish extremely flavorful and tasty. Fair prices and excellent value for money.

Excellent food in a quiet, relaxing atmosphere. Friendly and attentive staff; reasonable prices for the type of restaurant. Highly recommended.

Every time we pass by, we absolutely have to stop in. It's a casual place with just a few tables, so I recommend making a reservation. The octopus sandwich is excellent, and the cod fritters with friggitelli cream are a must. Recommended.

Every time we return to Policoro, we stop at Camelot. Located in the city center, it's easy to park on the surrounding streets. It's a casual place with outdoor seating; reservations are recommended. The octopus sandwiches are infamous, but the appetizers are equally delicious. The cod fritters with friggitelli peppers deserve a special mention. Excellent value. Highly recommended.

If you like sandwiches... it's a good place to try. If you like Japanese... it's a good place to try. If you like breaded foods... it's a good place to try. There are so many reasons to go to Camelot Bistrot. If you're a pasta lover, however, it's not on the menu.
