The place is queer and i love that, please this world needs to be more queer and whimsical. The waiters were nice and speak good english as Matera is a highly touristic city. Nice view when you sit outside too.

In a somewhat quieter part of Matera, a relaxed restaurant with indoor seating and a terrace. The food is tasty and not run-of-the-mill. The service is friendly and the kitchen is reasonably fast.

Located in the heart of the Sassi of Matera, this bistro offers a nice break from the many ups and downs of the magnificent Sassi. The first courses are very good; we had fusilli with cruschi peppers (very good) and bruschetta to share. Service is fast and friendly.

Excellent, down-to-earth cuisine with regional specialties. The pasta with cruschi was superb, as was the bean stew. Matera is known, not least, for its delicious peasant dishes. The location of the small restaurant is also enchanting and even offers a dreamy view of the cathedral. The price-performance ratio was typical for Matera.

06/06/2026: The staff is so kind and attentive, and the food is wonderful. The crispy fried senise peppers are beyond anything I've ever tasted. I wouldn't know anything we ate was gluten free, tiramisu was excellent. Pizza with mortedella and pistachios was phenomenal.
