23/05/2026: Very disappointing experience. The room was extremely damp and humid, to the point where the environment felt unhealthy and uncomfortable to sleep in. The situation became even worse at checkout, when the staff refused to provide an invoice. We had to argue for a long time before receiving a handwritten document. The staff was rude and confrontational instead of trying to solve the issue professionally. I would not recommend this property.

20/03/2026: In my opinion, the points in its favor are: the breakfast (excellent and plentiful), the location (not too crowded and not far from the main streets and squares), the friendliness and kindness of the owner.

27/06/2026: A friend recommended the restaurant to us. Honestly, we ate well and paid a fair price. Excellent service. I also recommend it because it's located among the Sassi of Matera. What more can I say?

23/07/2026: Stay away! €15 just for a plate of iceberg lettuce, the kind you buy in a bag at the supermarket, four slices of dried bresaola, and the parmesan on the plate you had to look for with a magnifying glass!

04/11/2025: Dinner with my wife, fantastic seafood scialatielli, definitely the best I've ever had. The pizza was also excellent, while my wife had sole and, according to her, was satisfied. The house white wine was decent and well-suited to the seafood. The service was informal but not intrusive. If you arrive early or, better yet, make a reservation, you can dine on the terrace. The price was more than fair. I can't rate the hotel as I only had dinner there, but I can say that the hotel guests who were there for dinner seemed satisfied.

12/03/2026: A place that presents itself as a temple to local products, but which, in reality, turns out to be little more than a trattoria with Michelin-starred prices and decidedly average quality. The most emblematic moment? When asking for a little spicy food, after much rhetoric about local ingredients, a small industrial-strength supermarket bottle produced in another region appears on the table. If this is how local products are promoted...

02/01/2026: Nice, cozy place, delicious food, friendly staff 😊.

06/08/2026: After stumbling on this restaurant in search of something to eat besides Panino and Pizza, we were warmly and genuinely greeted by the host outside the restaurant. He gave us a brilliant summary of the dishes, where we were so enthused hearing about the dishes he would share with his grandmother when he was younger. The Crusco peppers that Matera is known for caught our eye, where the gnocchi he recommended with "poor mans'" sausage was so tasty and flavourful. A must try in my opinion. We also ordered the cannelloni with ricotta and spinach and that was excellent too, a hint of nutmeg I wasn't expecting but was so pleased with - delicious. We also ordered a couple of drinks and a salad. Honestly the best food we've had in Matera (and some of the best in Italy) - so well seasoned and tasty which we've found a little tricky to find elsewhere! Looking forward to returning one day in the future

06/08/2026: A terrible place. The food was awful. The pasta was overcooked. The older woman on the staff was very rude; she mixed up my order, brought me the wrong dish, and refused to admit her mistake.

24/07/2026: Big scam, we were there right now, we went there to order drinks first then dinner but… when we ordered coffee with oat milk, they bring us two espresso, then we said that’s not our order, they bring us another coffee with normal milk, I said that’s not almond or soya or any type of oat , he looked at me and said it is , I tell you it is, I still have pain on my stomach, we didn’t drink it and we went to pay , can you believe they charged us for the drink that they bring us first? Without drinking anything we paid for 4 coffee. Don’t go there at allllll

22/07/2026: I only ordered drinks and didn't eat. The waitress was quite friendly. The restaurant is near the entrance to the Rock Church hill, and the view is nice.
