06/09/2024: Erano appena le 21 e 45 ci accomodiamo per bere due cocktails ma nemmeno 15 min dopo una collaboratrice seduta con gli altri componenti del personale , esclama ad alta voce : BHE' CE NE ANDIAMO PICCIONCINI !!!??? riferendosi a noi che eravamo l unico tavolo occupato...Poi vi lamentate che i Materani non popolano i locali dei Sassi....Per forza...con questa maleducazione è il minimo. Non consigliato.

08/09/2024: Nice, quiet and relaxed place a few steps from the center of Policoro not too far from the hospital and the archaeological museum, surrounded by several cafes, we ate outside on the lawn under the trees. The staff is friendly, the dinner was excellent, the tuna steak was cooked properly, the cuttlefish melted in your mouth. The bill was a pleasant surprise, Sima eats well and doesn't spend much, we will definitely be back

24/03/2025: Delightful restaurant in the alleys of Matera where you eat very well and with quality food. The place is very welcoming and beautifully furnished and the staff is extremely kind and friendly and it was therefore a very pleasant experience that I will certainly repeat if I find myself in Matera

23/03/2025: If there were another five stars I would have given them without thinking twice. The four of us at the table immediately became familiar with the staff and the place itself. A beautiful place inside a stone, with attention to every detail. An open kitchen and top-notch service. Sabatino the Meitre and Isam the waiter are super friendly, they put you at ease and make you feel literally at home. Top food and value for money, much appreciated. The two girls at the service were very friendly and always, I repeat always, smiling, something that is seen less and less in places, Obviously, a smile on all the members of the staff, from the cashier to the brigade. 09/01/2025: Encontramos este gran lugar por accidente! Es muy bonito, y la terraza tiene vistas al Saadi de Matera. Comimos maricón con bacala, puré favorito con gambas, orecchiette della nonna y cerdo con salsa de queso - combinaciones interesantes y todo delicioso. Un restaurante excelente, local; no demasiado turístico y no demasiado caro.

25/02/2025: Lovely, clean room. In the center of the Sassi di Barisano with a breathtaking view. Even though it was a cave without windows there was no smell of humidity. Mr. Vincenzo was an exquisite person.

01/01/2025: It is located in the stones a few minutes walk from the entrance to the restricted traffic zone. Finding parking nearby is almost impossible so I recommend the multi-storey one in Via Saragat for 5 euros a day, and you can easily take the shuttle. The room is beautiful, very particular. Obviously it does not have a window as it is carved into the rock. The only two flaws were the comfort of the bed because the mattress wasn't the best and I don't know why but the slats were wider than the mattress and you hit your shins on them. And then the shower/tub which was positioned in a strange way as an access, in front of the bidet which you basically had to climb over. Wasn't it easier to put a shower tray??? 😅😅

05/09/2024: Oven dating back to 1952 is the oldest in Matera. Its products are typical of the area with recipes from the past, genuine and natural.

27/08/2024: Bread like it used to be, cooked in a wood fire. The baker and his wife are always friendly and the bread is truly exceptional.

25/03/2025: We stayed in this "neighborhood" property in Sasso Cavoso. The cave rooms are carefully renovated and very comfortable. Very good buffet breakfast, with also typical products. The owners are really kind and helpful. Beautiful stay.

17/02/2025: I share my experience at the Dodici Lune residence. I stayed here for just one night and arrived in the morning; at the reception they allowed me to leave my luggage and visit the city while waiting for the room to be ready. The entire complex of rooms is located in some excavations made in the stone that make them characteristic and very suggestive. The rooms are furnished with excellent taste and are consistent with the entire design, however, we encountered some functional problems. The room we stayed in due to its shape has no windows, therefore, an air vent was installed in the bathroom which, in addition to being very noisy (especially if the door is closed, a very annoying echo can be heard), helps to cool the room. The shower had a damaged shower head and a glass that did not close optimally. The real problem emerged during the night when shortly before leaving we asked for help for a fault in the heating system. We were notified via WhatsApp shortly after the fault and that a heater was left in the room, however, this cannot cover the entire size of the room and only heats locally so it was not useful to us at all and the night was particularly cold. The thing that left me most annoyed was the lack of apologies or attention towards us the following morning when it was clear that being left without heating at this time of year is quite unpleasant.

22/12/2024: Consigliato da amici e dal b&b, ambiente carino e personale gentile. Carpaccio di podolica squisito, così come tutte le portate. Eccellente anche la pera all’aglianico. Consiglio assolutamente

10/12/2024: Il posto è molto carino caldo e accogliente, personale educato, il cibo tutto buono forse un po' caruccio, ma tutto sommato si mangia bene.

27/08/2024: Greetings, I will start with the premise that I have booked for 8pm Reservation accepted, we are on time, 5 people, we enter, the place is empty and they assign us the table in the most remote corner of the garden overlooking a dance floor. By God we are not fussy, I also understand that they are plastic garden chairs, we are pop people, but giving the chairs a degrease seems like the minimum!! And don't say "they're not dirty, they're stained" if that's the case, well, the eye wants its part too! Even if they are for the garden, being presentable is a completely different thing, initially I didn't even want to sit in them!! We sit down and after about 30/35 minutes a waitress reaches us and takes the drink order, after about 15 minutes they arrive "in the meantime the place starts to come alive" several tables are occupied, the orders are taken, they bring them drinks and .. around 9.05pm they finally also took our order for the pizzas..... I'll make it short for you: at 9.40pm we still didn't have the pizzas, while we could notice that "any table" arrived at the tables after us since we were the first to arrive they had pizzas, drinks and started dinner. I got up and went to say that we would get up and leave immediately... a lady says in front of me "I'm thinking of those responsible" and replies that the pizzas are cooking! I calmly replied that I no longer cared where our pizzas were, I want you to tell me how much I owe on the drinks because we are leaving, so I pay and we leave. Now, I say.. if the evening was already organized for those who had paid "the ticket" to dance afterwards, or in any other case, I wonder why accept other reservations?? I would have really liked to be able to say something positive, especially about the dishes.. but regardless of the various "positive" reviews I have read, which I would not trust at all, if it gives me so much.. one thing is certain, where there is no respect "for all" the customers who come in, for me, there can be nothing "good" So, obviously I don't recommend the place even if it were the only one in the area, in fact, we then went to another place where we waited because it was full , but at least there was a reason valid.. and I conclude by saying that in many tourist and non-tourist locations in the country, a place managed with this system would not last a single week. NB: A bottle of chanteclaire works miracles.. Use it!! I DON'T RECOMMEND!!!! 👎🏻

I recommend it with all my heart ❤️ heartfelt congratulations to the owner/chef...the staff, you are fantastic! Lucky to have found you by chance. If you want to eat divinely in Matera, come here! Unfortunately we couldn't come back because we had to leave the same day, we were very sorry not to be able to return to this wonderful place ❤️ I hope for a next trip, in the meantime dear greetings from Rome...

23/02/2025: Characteristic location, a typical Matera cave dug into the tuff, various local wines produced by the restaurant, local dishes, some revisited in a Lucanian way, what can I say, highly recommended

19/02/2025: A large, old restaurant. It was a little cold in the living room. We ordered a starter of cheeses and cold cuts and, as it was abundant, we then wanted to share a main dish but they told us that was not possible. The food was good. Average price for the area.
