11/07/2025: Consigliato da amici andiamo alla scoperta di questo ristorante in quanto cercavamo delle pietanze tipiche locali, che riportassero ai sapori di una volta, quelli della cucina tradizionale, tramandata ma rivisitata in chiave moderna. Locale accogliente e ben curato, personale cortese e fiero di spiegare il piatto, materia prima.di ottima qualità e bontà indiscutibile. Sui dessert, "il Cestino del Barisano" vale di nuovo una visita al locale. Complimenti e buona strada.

25/06/2025: Exceptionnel ! Plats goûteux dans la pure tradition de Matera. Accueil chaleureux, service impeccable, fraîcheur de la salle intérieure troglodyte très appréciée par jour de canicule (et sinon il existe aussi une jolie terrasse ombragée). Mention spéciale pour le dessert (photo) typique de Matera : le Cestino del Barisano : une mousse de ricotta légère et pas trop sucrée, avec purée de fruits frais et amandes grillées, dans une pâte croustillante, c’est à tomber par terre …

22/08/2025: I was impressed by the quality of the dishes, both in terms of presentation and ingredients, and of course by the flavor. I was also very impressed by the professional and elegant service, and by the wine. Being a wine bar, there's a wide selection of excellent wines. And for those who like it, they can even saber! In conclusion, it's a restaurant worth trying, even if it means traveling two hours! Exceptional!

10/08/2025: Honestly, I wouldn't recommend it and I won't be returning!!! The bill was incredibly high compared to the quality and quantity of food consumed.

30/10/2025: A small restaurant located in the heart of the Sassi, offering a wide selection of traditional dishes from Matera and Basilicata. The food was appreciated and approved by everyone, and the prices were quite reasonable given the location and the menu offerings. My only complaint was that the atmosphere was a bit gloomy, quiet, and cold, especially on a Saturday night. I think the restaurant deserves more visibility, and a manager who knows how to attract customers. My compliments to the professionalism of the waiter!

07/09/2025: My partner and I stayed at this charming place in Matera, local breakfast, we slept in a very suggestive cave, clean and comfortable, the owners were friendly and helpful, we will definitely return to Matera and we will return here, thank you ❤️

21/09/2025: The pizza was truly awful, very dry and barely topped. When I paid, they even gave me a receipt that they said was for tax purposes, but it was fake. The location is near a sewer that doesn't smell at all.

23/07/2025: We ate at the outdoor tables, a pleasant atmosphere, spectacular fried anchovies, cruschi peppers, and a super black sandwich with octopus! The girl at the tagoli was lovely.

19/04/2025: This evening I tasted the best fish sandwich I've ever had! The black bun has it all: crispiness, balanced flavor, and contrasting colors that create a unique and unforgettable explosion of flavors!

26/08/2025: A total disappointment. High prices that don't match the quality of the dishes. The overcooked tagliata tasted like a thin slice of meat, and the lemon scallops tasted nothing like lemon... the baked potatoes were just boiled potatoes... the Matera appetizer was disappointing... two slices of cured meat and the rest were pickles, so sad. All at an insane price...

10/08/2025: Siamo capitati da Dulcis In Fundo quasi per caso, con l’idea di fermarci giusto per un aperitivo… e invece, complice l’atmosfera, la splendida vista sui Sassi di Matera e l’accoglienza impeccabile, siamo rimasti anche per cena. È stata una scelta vincente! Il locale ha un fascino unico: la terrazza affacciata sui Sassi è suggestiva e regala un panorama che da solo vale la visita. Il cibo ottimo, piatti curati, saporiti e porzioni giuste; i prezzi onesti e assolutamente in linea con la qualità. Un grazie speciale a Roland, il nostro cameriere: gentile, simpatico e alla mano, ci ha fatto sentire come a casa fin dal primo momento, trasformando una cena in un’esperienza tra amici. Torneremo sicuramente.

17/07/2025: Llegamos a este restaurante mientras bajaba del Duomo. La ubicación es perfecta para esperar las luces nocturnas encendidas en el corazón de Matera. La comida es muy agradable. El servicio Inglés lo ha facilitado mucho. A mi hijo le encantaba la pasta. Toda la experiencia es inolvidable.

05/11/2025: Great restaurant with excellent service and location. I tried the Crapiata Materana, a traditional dish from the region, and it was outstanding. Highly recommended!

29/10/2025: Stay away from this place, it’s a total rip-off! We had two spaghetti carbonara dishes and a Glas of water each, and paid 50 euros. The portions were small and didn’t taste good, and they even added a 12-euro tip to the bill without asking. Save your money!

22/07/2025: Abbiamo trascorso una serata durante la settimana con amici, siamo rimasti molto delusi dalla lunga (40 minuti circa)attesa delle pizze visto che la pizzeria era quasi vuota e dal prezzo finale. La location è tipica dei sassi e la pizza è 4 su 5 come voto. Abbiamo pagato 13€ cadauna per una birra artigianale e 30€ per 10 sporca musso. Diciamo che abbiamo considerato il prezzo finale alto. Inoltre nell'attesa delle pizze abbiamo notato che il proprietario tra una comanda e l'altra stava mangiando accanto a noi, scena poco cortese per un cliente. Sicuramente la prossima volta eviteremo questo locale.

20/06/2025: Service pitoyable commande prise 1 h après notre arrivée, amabilité zéro , le premier mange et le dernier mange 45 mn plus tard ...nul .

21/10/2025: Magnificent overnight stay in this magical place. An old cave transformed into a bedroom with a small alcove. The exterior facade is sublime. Comfortable bedding. High-quality amenities. Look carefully at the period photos to learn about the work carried out (7 years ago) and the living conditions of the local population at the time. Special mention to our host who spoke impeccable French. Bravo

18/08/2025: Top location, beautiful rooms in all categories (even the standard category, and the upscale categories as well), delicious and plentiful breakfast, and friendly and impeccable service. Highly recommended!

21/10/2025: A few tables with a view of the sassis, otherwise it will be a large rustic room "in its own juice". Very good octopus (€20), less luck with the salad.

15/10/2025: The location is extraordinary, with magnificent views of the Sassi of Matera. The service was fast, very correct, and friendly. As for the food, it wasn't bad, considering we were a group of 40 people.
