17/05/2025: Wonderful place, great food, excellent service and kindness. Excellent location, quiet in the historic center of Genoa. We will return to try breakfast and dinner.

11/05/2025: Simple delicious food; pasta coniglio Bianco, perfectly cooked, scented with thyme. Also the classic fagiolini, pesto and potatoes - again very good. Fine local wine, pignato for an aperitivo. A lovely place to eat lunch in the sunshine, enjoying Genoa and the warm hospitality. And - the coffee (Illy) is perfect! Highly recommended.

06/07/2025: I order a dish (tagliata di tonno) and a Prosecco. The waiter brings the bread and the Prosecco. Then he comes to tell me he didn't receive the tuna this morning. He asks him to bring me the menu again. Nothing pleases me, so I choose a basic dish: taglioni with vongole. Barely a handful of vongole and pasta swimming in oil. I should have left when the waiter informed me that the dish I ordered wasn't available. He should have told me before bringing me the Prosecco. Plus, the €4 copertos weren't worth it. My first disappointment out of dozens of restaurants I've tried.

06/07/2025: We ate very well. Very good fish. The location on the beach is beautiful, perfect for relaxing. We will gladly return!

17/06/2025: Fixed menu, neither good nor bad. Mixed fried appetizer and some nice portions of mixed fish, first and second courses failed. Sgroppino for dessert. Totally oxidized wine (in a jug), we sent it back to get a bottle. Given the freedom given by the fixed menu, I thought it was something more challenging and different.

14/06/2025: Excellent! The interior design is elegant, modern, and relaxing. The staff were nice, and professional, and the food was delicious. Top quality products, everything from antipasti to dessert was excellent! Will for sure go back again. Highly recommend!

17/05/2025: Visitamos Lucca durante dos semanas. Este era nuestro restaurante/bar favorito! Paramos en cinco ocasiones... a veces para tomar algo y aperitivos, otras veces para comer. La comida era genial y el propietario y su esposa eran tan encantadores con nosotros. Recomendamos encarecidamente este negocio familiar y extrañaremos estar en esta maravillosa ubicación. Sin duda volveremos!

29/06/2025: We arrived at the restaurant at 9.20pm (with a reservation) but we started to eat after 1.20am! The waitress arrived immediately after we sat down bringing us water but then we were left to chance. Following 3 reminders they brought us two glasses of wine only after 40 minutes, the bread after 1 hour. After having eaten dinner (still of excellent quality) we did not have the courage to ask for more dishes for the risk of having to sleep in the restaurant. Furthermore they did not even give us a gift of a bitter or reduce the cost of the dinner bill given the inconvenience caused. Shame about the service.

From our arrival, she welcomed us with a genuine smile and rare attention: always present but never intrusive, capable of understanding the needs of the table with discretion and promptness. Eliana demonstrates an in-depth knowledge of the menu and wines, managing to recommend dishes and pairings with skill and passion. Each course was accompanied by a short description that made the gastronomic experience even more interesting and engaging. Attention to detail, perfect timing in the service and authentic kindness: Eliana represents exactly what you hope to find when choosing a quality restaurant like Le Masiere. Congratulations to her and the management for valorizing such professional figures.

01/07/2025: Good restaurant overlooking the Santa Maria al Bagno seafront. We went to this restaurant for lunch or dinner several times during our vacation and we always had a good time. The appetizer of the day was excellent (shrimp salad), the mussels in tempura, the tuna tartare. Of the first courses we tried the linguine with clams, with seafood and the penne alla corsara, good but slightly below par compared to the appetizers. Of the second courses we particularly appreciated the tuna steak and the grilled cuttlefish. Excellent wines to pair. If I really had to find a point to improve, I would advise the kitchen not to put only half a scampi on a dish that includes scampi as an ingredient. At least one whole one should be put in. Another slightly sore point, but not the restaurant's responsibility, is the busy road on the seafront that distracts a bit from the magic of the place facing the sea. In any case, I highly recommend the restaurant.

30/06/2025: Over the years it has lost a bit of its shine: penne alla corsara is always good, but apart from the empty clam shells... little substance in the pasta. Fried food needs to be totally revised, rubbery and hard. The Egyptian mussels are saved, very tasty and abundant. The price is not exactly cheap, on the contrary; but do you want to put dinner in front of the sun drowning in the sea?! The only question is this: is it worth it?

18/06/2025: Perfect, quiet spot for a coffee and a delicious pistachio croissant. Friendly service, decent price, and they have almond milk for your cappuccino if you’re dairy free or vegan!

11/06/2025: A nice place well located in the historic center, where you can eat very well at lunch. Excellent coffee and the choice proposed for breakfast.
