17/05/2025: I only went for lunch and had the worst experience I've had in years of traveling. We arrived around closing time and were greeted very kindly. They offered us water, and after that, they brought us a cart with different fish and lobster dishes. The waiter explained all the ways each dish could be prepared and what he suggested: a first course with pasta and some fish, and a second course with another fish. He was very kind, and we didn't speak Italian, and he didn't speak English, so we more or less understood each other, and that's what he brought us. He never offered us the menu or explained the price of what we were ordering. When the bill arrived, it turned out the price per kilo of fish was 85 euros! And the total given by weight was 135 euros. A rip-off. We would never have spent that amount if we had known. We were naive; we trusted in the kindness. Why didn't they give us an option? A lunch on the way ended up costing us 185 euros in total. I do not recommend this place not because of the cuisine, which was ok, but because of the mistreatment of unsuspecting tourists. 04/05/2025: Solita conferma. Siamo stati a cena il primo di maggio, locale più che pieno, ma il servizio è stato comunque efficiente e cordiale. Abbiamo aspettato più del solito per le pizze ma ne è valsa la pena. Top in tutto. Abbiamo ricevuto anche uno sconto sul conto finale per scusarsi del ritardo avuto sulle pizze, molto apprezzato. Complimenti a tutti!

01/05/2025: Siamo arrivati e il posto strapieno, siamo stati alloggiati in 5 in un tavolo minuscolo. Scarso lo spazio anche solo per poggiare i piatti. Servizio veloce per l’ antipasto dopodiché lentissimo per le pizze. Quando abbiamo fatto presente neanche una minima scusa. Dalle 20:45 le pizze (scarse negli condimenti) le abbiamo ricevute alle 22:00. Esperienza terribile da non ripetere mai più. Locale molto turistico da evitare assolutamente, soprattutto per la mala gestione nei giorni più affollati.

03/07/2025: Very nice place, huge garden, friendly staff. Only note, I would accompany the second courses with slightly more abundant side dishes, I found them very poor. Good pizza.

16/07/2025: Cheaters. We ordered tagliatelle portofino, roast beef, salad, few drinks and a bottle of water. Tagliatelle portofino barely had some sauce, so it is impossible to review it. Roast beef? A few tiny slices of something....? You should really have the nerve to call that, whatever it was, a "roast beef" and charge it 14€! Salad (a little bit of it) came poured off the bag from the grocery store, no dressing at all, we had to ask for olive oil and aceto balsamico. Didn't get the water we ordered but it was on the bill when we came to pay. Service was slow and careless, nevertheless, it's automaticaly charged 2€ per person. Avoid that place.

23/06/2025: Dinner was spectacular in this restaurant's square. The menu showcases the main attractions of Ligurian cuisine. For me, it's a charming place. The service was excellent with very friendly, attentive waiters who are always available to advise. I had the focaccia with pesto and the panzotti in walnut sauce, and I highly recommend them! It's a quick way to experience the charms of Genoa. I've definitely bookmarked it and will return to this restaurant when I return to Genoa.

16/07/2025: Este es un encantador restaurante en la parte trasera - carreteras del barrio Español de Nápoles. Nuestra primera visita fue un domingo. Pasamos por delante de un par de vendedores ambulantes tratando de coaccionar a los turistas en locales menos apetitosos antes de encontrar esta joya sencilla pero auténtica con mesas contra la pared a cada lado de una calle estrecha, y algunas mesas más en el interior. Cuando mostramos interés, el camarero invitó a echar un vistazo dentro. La habitación era pequeña, con tal vez seis mesas, dos de las cuales fueron tomadas. Pudimos ver al propietario / chef trabajando en la cocina. Era exactamente el ambiente que queríamos, y el menú tenía algo para todos nosotros. A los diez minutos de llegar, todas las mesas interiores estaban ocupadas. Ninguno de ellos por turistas extranjeros lo que es sorprendente, dada la ubicación, pero tal vez eso se deba a la falta de la venta difícil. Estos tipos se ocupan de comida de buena calidad y tienen suficientes negocios locales para mantenerlos en marcha. Fuimos bastante indecisos en la elección de la comida durante nuestra primera visita. A pesar de tener todo un restaurante para servir, el camarero mostró buena paciencia, y no hubo retraso discernible en el servicio. El queso servido con mi ensalada respondió a la pregunta que me había hecho muchas veces: "¿qué tiene de especial Mozarella?". Esto no se parecía en nada al queso insípido y húmedo al que estoy acostumbrado en los supermercados del Reino Unido. Esto tenía una textura firme y áspera y un toque de salinidad en el sabor. Deliciosa. Los platos de pasta de mariscos eran fantásticos también. La pasta cocinada solo lo suficiente y sabores sutiles acompañaron a las almejas y mejillones. Todos los platos estaban igualmente bien cocinados. Nos fuimos, llenos y felices. El viernes, nuestro último día en Nápoles, decidimos volver a nuestro restaurante favorito del viaje. Estaba menos ocupado esta vez, y charlamos con el camarero, a pesar de que cada uno de nosotros solo tenía un problema de idioma del otro. Aprendí que el nombre del camarero es Salvatore, y el chef -y propietario- es Rosario. Otro cliente se unió a nuestra conversación, encantado de conocer a algunos extranjeros. "Muchos lugareños comen aquí", nos dijo, "y eso te dice que la comida es de calidad. Pero no tenemos muchos extranjeros, así que es bueno verte aquí". Bueno, estoy muy feliz de que este turista encontrara La Locanda dei Borboni, y conociera a Salvatore y Rosario. Nos ayudaron a crear recuerdos. Buena comida, servida en un ambiente relajado y acogedor. Les deseo a ellos y a su restaurante un futuro feliz, se lo merecen.

20/06/2025: Locale accogliente nello storico quartiere Spagnolo a pochi passi dalla centrale via Toledo. Ambiente pulito, ottimi piatti della cucina tradizionale popolare napoletana ma anche moderna preparati da Rosario il proprietario, e serviti dal maitre "Zazà". Assolutamente consigliato.

22/06/2025: A terrace on the sea in Lacco Ameno where you can eat traditional fish-based cuisine prepared very well. The first course of the house was excellent, the fried fish was good but some things were a bit dry (tondino), the owner was polite..... the only flaw that doesn't depend on them is finding yourself surrounded by cigarette smoke from the tables around.

13/05/2025: A great place. Very discreet restaurant on the beach with reasonable prices. The sea bream was excellent and the paccheri were top-notch. I'll be back.

20/05/2025: We visited the place with some friends. The atmosphere is cozy and the food is good, although not exceptional. I particularly appreciated the service: the girl was nice and professional. However, the place where the restaurant is located did not excite me.

04/01/2025: This is the second time I've spent New Year's Eve in this place, the first time it went very well, we had fun, we ate well while this time everything was very bad. In 4, we chose (previously as requested) 3 meat-based menus, and 1 fish-based menu. At a cost of 65 euros per person for the meat menu and 75 euros for the fish menu. The waiters were very kind and helpful right from the start. Starting with the appetizer, the fish one was very nice and good, rich and mixed as agreed. The meat appetizer featured 2 slices of raw ham cut even thick, 1 morsel of mozzarella that was certainly not very fresh, 2 slices of low-quality salami and 2 slices of speck. Not to mention the timing, same table but completely different service times, the fish menu arrived and in the meantime at least 20 minutes passed for the other 3 to arrive. The first course was risotto with mushrooms for the meat menu, and it was also quite good, risotto with scampi and lime for the person who had chosen the fish. The risotto with scampi was practically only lime flavored, but almost decent. The second first course included ravioli with burrata but we received ravioli filled with ricotta (low quality), in a yellow tomato sauce and ricotta cream (the same as the filling) sprinkled on top. The pasta was terrible. Inedible. Very acidic and with a horrible taste. The second course included sliced ​​meat, we certainly didn't expect the Florentine steak but at least not a slice of pork literally cut on the plate, dry, hard, and also inedible. So this was also left entirely on the plate. Let's talk about the dessert, a fruit tart, the pastry was too hard, the fruit was old, ugly and thrown there without any sense. In conclusion, the plaster of the ceiling was hanging above our table, on the stairs to go to the bathroom we had the company of spiders, cobwebs and filth. Terrible evening, not to return even if they paid us, you should close.

10/04/2025: “The bruschettas are good, the grill is less so” I went to this restaurant for lunch and really enjoyed the bruschetta, which was really tasty. Unfortunately the mixed grill did not live up to expectations. The price seemed a little high compared to the overall quality. I give it 3 stars on average.

29/06/2025: The food here is genuinely amazing. We stopped by fairly late and the owner was so kind and accommodating- he even let me practice my minimal Italian! Everything is made by him! The wine was brilliant and I can’t stress this enough the food was even better. If you want to experience real hospitality and great food come here!!

23/05/2025: Topissime !!! Tout était parfait ! Le cadre est somptueux, le personnel très souriant et aux petits soins, la cuisine est pleine de saveurs, les produits sont de qualité et bien travaillés. Nous avons passé une excellente soirée et nous recommandons l'endroit !

19/06/2025: I don't even know what to write about this. My husband had a piece of lasagna. The waiter praised it for being topped with ragu. It had everything but ragu. It tasted of nothing, and the portion size wasn't justified for the price. The pizza was actually just mozzarella, and the dough had a strange aftertaste to me. I wouldn't eat there again. At the tables next to us, someone also asked if the pizza should be sliced. We weren't asked, and we weren't given any seasoning to add.
