28/08/2024: This is a restaurant located in the historic center of Verona, where most of its clientele are Veronese, who come here for lunch in the middle of their working day. Its offer is therefore far from the many restaurants for tourists that swarm the area, and to my way of thinking, it makes it extremely attractive for a visitor like me, who in addition to knowing the classic tourist spots, he also likes to try to enjoy a little of the day-to-day life of the city. A €15 menu of local cuisine made with love, including two courses, bread and water, and a menu with reasonable prices, is one of Vecchia Fontanina's strong points. The waiters, Veronese from soca-rel (I asked them), professional, but at the same time super attentive and extremely close if you put your foot in them, is the other strong point. It is spectacular to see them moving at full speed, paying attention to everything, with a particular grace, which will be etched in my memory as one of the most beautiful memories I take with me from Verona. We went there for lunch with my wife and son, by chance, and we all left so delighted, that we did it again the next day. Too bad we live so far from Verona, as we will hardly be able to go back. By the way, if you feel like trying a dessert, I recommend the Catalan cream with black pepper and mint. A delicious reinterpretation of the traditional recipe that will blow your mind...

30/07/2024: Every July 29th, my wife and I celebrate our wedding anniversary at the Caruso restaurant of the Grand Hotel Vesuvio, a place that has become an unmissable tradition for us. Describing the location is difficult except through photos which capture the magic of this wonderful place, directly overlooking the Castel dell'Ovo, one of the most fascinating places in Naples. The view is simply breathtaking and helps make the experience even more special. The location is modern, warm and elegantly furnished. However, what made this dinner truly special was the menu created by the new starred chef, who collaborates with the restaurant's historic chef. The dishes, already excellent, were further improved, and each course was able to surprise us with refined flavors and new combinations. We started the evening with a Franciacorta aperitif, followed by a Cervaro della Sala Chardonnay wine. As appetizers, we enjoyed a raw prawn, squid and potato dish, and a revisited Caprese salad. The lemon and sea urchin gnocchi were a sublime first course, while the crusted sea bream for two was the perfect choice for the second course. Between one course and another, the chef delighted us with small culinary surprises that added a touch of magic to the evening. Particular praise goes to the impeccable service of Salvatore and all his staff. They were attentive to our every need, ensuring our glass was never empty and the table was always clean. The timing in serving the dishes was perfect, allowing us to enjoy each course without rushing. Overall, it was a wonderful experience that I will certainly continue to repeat over the years with my wife. The surrounding environment and the other customers also contributed to creating a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere, completing an unforgettable evening.

29/07/2024: Ogni 29 luglio, io e mia moglie celebriamo il nostro anniversario di matrimonio al ristorante Caruso del Grand Hotel Vesuvio, un luogo che è diventato per noi una tradizione irrinunciabile. Descrivere la location è difficile se non attraverso le foto che catturano la magia di questo posto meraviglioso, affacciato direttamente sul Castel dell’Ovo, uno dei luoghi più affascinanti di Napoli. La vista è semplicemente mozzafiato e contribuisce a rendere l’esperienza ancora più speciale. La location è moderna, calda ed elegantemente arredata. Tuttavia, ciò che ha reso davvero speciale questa cena è stato il menu creato dal nuovo chef stellato, che collabora con lo storico chef del ristorante. I piatti, già eccellenti, sono stati ulteriormente migliorati, e ogni portata ha saputo sorprenderci con sapori raffinati e abbinamenti inediti. Abbiamo iniziato la serata con un aperitivo Franciacorta, seguito da un vino Chardonnay Cervaro della Sala. Come antipasti, abbiamo gustato un crudo di gamberi, totani e patate, e una insalata caprese rivisitata. Gli gnocchi al limone e ricci sono stati un primo piatto sublime, mentre l’orata in crosta per due è stata la scelta perfetta per il secondo. Tra una portata e l’altra, lo chef ci ha deliziato con piccole sorprese culinarie che hanno aggiunto un tocco di magia alla serata. Un plauso particolare va al servizio impeccabile di Salvatore e tutto il suo staff. Sono stati attenti a ogni nostra esigenza, garantendo che il nostro bicchiere non fosse mai vuoto e che il tavolo fosse sempre pulito. Il tempismo nel servire i piatti è stato perfetto, permettendoci di gustare ogni portata senza fretta. In generale, è stata un’esperienza meravigliosa che sicuramente continuerò a ripetere negli anni con mia moglie. Anche l’ambiente circostante e gli altri clienti hanno contribuito a creare un’atmosfera piacevole e rilassata, completando una serata indimenticabile.

08/08/2024: Today together with my family and some friends we decided to have lunch at Il Vigneto, in this restaurant I have had the opportunity to eat several times over the years and, and I must say that there have always been two constants, the goodness of the food and the arrogance of the owner, today I have found one of these two things, but alas, the most important one has disappeared, if you propose a first course €20/22, I don't pretend it's a poem for the taste buds, but that at least the pasta isn't overcooked, I'm sorry to write certain things, but I think that people need to take a bath in humility every now and then, a disappointment

22/08/2024: The route to get there is incredible and pure magic when you park here. Beauty in its purest form. Space for children to play with all the comforts. Ping pong table with its rackets and balls. Balls. A volleyball net. A trampoline. The pool for all ages. Hammocks in corners between fruit trees. A sauna and archery Sun loungers. But you do even have a huge refrigerator available between the washing machine and the sinks. In addition, the detail of the scrubber, brush and dishwasher is a highlight. The restaurant has a loving decoration and the menu is magnificent 🫶🏽. They make a mint and ginger liqueur that I recommend. Postcard sunsets and what I like most...the eternal smell of lavender 🪻 and rosemary. Come and find out for yourself ☺️. And if you also like animals, it's already the most nova. A place to repeat. 21/08/2024: Il posto è incantevole, immerso nella campagna emiliana. La nostra camera era molto curata e pulita. Cena ottima (non inclusa nel prezzo). Colazione a pagamento, molto buona. Non siamo riusciti ad usare la piscina a causa del maltempo.

21/07/2024: Beautiful story told by this restaurant with local cuisine specializing in fish. Availability, kindness of the staff, friendliness and abundant dishes. A table to share with friends and try the fish menu. Good spaghetti with bottarga, cuttlefish ink rice full of fish, and mixed fried food that's worth it. I also enjoy the tiramisu.

02/09/2024: It is with a very guilty delay of almost 2 months that I leave an enthusiastic review for this wonderful structure set in the evocative vastness of the countryside of the Lazio Maremma... Being on a business trip to Civitavecchia and Santa Marinella I was able to enjoy this oasis of peace and of beauty, being repaid with impeccable hospitality of the highest quality, from the simple, essential, very clean two-room apartment equipped with every comfort, passing through top-notch catering in the suggestive panoramic restaurant in the shape of a yurt... All seasoned with exquisite courtesy and friendliness of Anna and all her very capable staff of collaborators... Not to mention the friendly Ettore, an imposing and sweet Saint Bernard, the beautiful and relaxing swimming pool and the extreme attention to detail that characterizes all the environments and areas on which the structure insists... As the first working holiday of my life I couldn't ask for anything better, it's just a shame that I didn't have more time available during the days... See you very soon, hopefully next year already!

21/08/2024: Had dinner with the family. Beautiful accommodation in the small square of this adorable village. Menu with little choice. Good but poor starters. We took 2 to taste. Also pointing this out to the waitress. Measly dish. It was barely enough for one person. First courses....Trofie with pesto and tagliatelle....the fresh pasta is very good.... Second. 3 and I mean 3 badly cooked lamb chops because they were dry and dry with a side dish of very cooked baked potatoes......some inedible because they were burnt. Sweet. Tiramisu soaked in liqueur. Drinks. We didn't take wine but water and coke.... Bread bag with 4 slices of bread. The service leaves a lot to be desired. Very long waits. The place was not full, in fact there must have been 6/7 tables in total. For the little we ate, the price was high. The table near us occupied by perhaps "daily" customers... who start with the aperitif and end with dinner... served with great attention and looking at the much larger portions...... Absolutely not recommended. The village, I repeat, is beautiful....

13/08/2024: The Ligurian rabbit is fabulous! Even the typical appetizers are excellent! The outdoor area is located on the square at the entrance to the magnificent village of Vallebona. On these very hot evenings it was great!

11/08/2024: peccato che non possiamo lasciare 10 stelle. Siamo andati al mare ad Amantea, mare e spiaggia bellissim! A mezzogiorno invece che farci derubare da un bagno privato abbiamo deciso di cercare un ristorante su tripadvisor, è cosi che abbiamo scoperto questo fantastico ristorante. Abbiamo chiamato e prenotato per le 12.45, appena arrivati il proprietario a cercato di posizionarci nel miglior posto in modo che l'aria condizionata ci desse sollievo dalla calura estiva. DEtto questo abbiamo preso: della stuzzicheria da 1 euro, 2 antipasti di mare, 2 gigliate di pesce, 1 spagetto alle vongole, 1 spaghetto allo scoglio, 4 patatine, 2 mezzi litri di vino della casa, 3 acque, 1 coca, 2 dolci... eravamo in 5 (tra di noi anche uno juventino moroso della figlia grande), spesa 159 euro, la spesa ci sta tutto, TUTTO BUONISSIMO!!! al cibo di qualità aggiungiamo anche la gentilezza del proprietario! Vi invitiamo ad andare in questo ristorante! ciaooooooooo
