Service and Ambiente is very good. But the food is just okay. Especially the dessert was not as good as Italian standard.

We returned to La Lanterna under new management and had a great time. The appetizers were very good and delicious. The first courses were generously portioned, but the flavor could be improved. The house white wine, €7, was excellent value.

If you're looking for a place where quality and atmosphere meet, La Lanterna is a choice that won't disappoint. For my first course, I ordered Spaghetti allo Chef: excellent and truly flavorful, yet well-balanced. Then, for my second course, intrigued, I ordered Grilled Fish, and I must say it didn't disappoint: the fresh fish, well-cooked, and authentic flavors showcase the raw ingredients. To finish on a high note, a Tiramisu that leaves no doubt as to its artisanal nature, creamy and truly delicate. The service deserves special mention: extremely friendly and helpful, capable of putting the customer at ease. All this is framed by a historic and unique setting. A place I will gladly return to!!!

Having a large dog, we were looking for a dog-friendly place. Even though we hadn't made a reservation and it was already lunchtime, we were warmly welcomed by the entire Lanterna staff, who found us a table. We ordered focaccia and the daily menu and were surprised by the generous portions at an affordable price. There was no shortage of treats for our big dog. Over the next few days, we returned several times and felt pampered by the staff, who even accommodated an off-menu request.

Trattoria Giovanelli

08/05/2026: In the 1950s and 1960s, family and friends often went to eat at Giovannelli. Besides, there was dancing—there was an outdoor dance floor—and a friend of mine sang. This friend's name was Neviada, her real name was Anna Maria Bianchi. Who remembers? My father gorged himself on snails!!!!
