Ristorante Nido d'Aquila In La maddalena

We were on a day trip to San Maddalena and came across this restaurant by chance. We were personally greeted by the boss, who took care of both the kitchen and the service, which was no problem in the low season. The food was really good and there was an idea behind every dish. For us, the semifreddo was a little highlight, especially at the end; it really tasted very good. But the fish starter and the fried calamari were also very good. We felt really comfortable and in terms of hospitality, it was the best restaurant we have experienced. We would definitely come again.

In the context of a daily motorcycle tour on the splendid island of La Maddalena, we were intrigued by this restaurant outside the tourist context. We meet the owner, Giuseppe, a passionate chef who tells us about his life and long-term experiences in the restaurant sector. A particular empathy is immediately born, also due to his extremely kind and humble manner. A rarity. Food and dishes? From a starred restaurant, a refinement in the search for flavors and in the combination of truly excellent foods. Here you don't eat the banal, but you savor local foods prepared with great passion such as sautéed mussels with myrtle or gnocchi with scorpion fish and almond flour. We stopped by chance for lunch and were surprised by the extraordinary welcome from the chef, who, always with a smile and friendliness, served us and prepared excellent first courses based on fresh fish and very special desserts. Excellent value for money, very friendly staff and excellent service. The restaurant offers very tasty fish dishes with strong flavors (stewed dogfish, spaghetti in octopus water, mussels with myrtle, various fried foods... in another world compared to the "chic" restaurants in the center and hands down one of the best restaurants in fish from the island (suitable for celiacs)

Pesce sempre fresco. Personale molto gentile, educato e professionale. Ambiente che ti mette a tuo agio. La cucina è tradizionale ma creativa nello stesso tempo. Mangiare qui è una certezza che non sbagli nulla. Da ritornarci ogni volta che si vuole perché è una garanzia.

Abbiamo avuto la fortuna di trovare sia il miglior ristorante della Maddalena e sia una bella persona come lo chef Giuseppe che sa amare il suo lavoro e coccolare i suoi clienti!!

Eccezionale! Lo Chef Giuseppe ci ha accolto e accompagnati in un viaggio culinario originale e squisito, con portati di pesce fresco (solo pesce di giornata pescato) nulla di omologato, nulla di scontato ( no gamberetti congelati, no frittura di anelli di totano, no s po' spaghetti allo scoglio, che poi sono tutti uguali, quelli c'è li facciamo a casa al limite..), bensì spaghetti alla rana pescatrice o von gli scampi freschi, gnocchi di scorfano e farina di mandorle, frittura di paranza. E il dolce naturalmente Seadas col miele 🍯Tutto pronto al momento, spiegato e servito anche da lui, perché se manca il personale ci vuole un po' di pazienza e di fantasia 🙂 Superlativo il mirto verde come finale cena! Ritorneremo sicuramente!

Suggerisco di ordinare le cozze al mirto. Camerieri gentili ma uscita piatti lenta. Troppi gatti nel dehor. Spesa giusta.
