14/09/2025: We arrived in Puglia yesterday and were hungry. Restaurants here naturally open later than in Germany. Calogero opens as early as 7:00 PM, and the reviews were very good. Absolutely right. We can recommend the restaurant without reservation. If you're looking for a sea view, you've obviously come to the wrong place. But the food is excellent. We had Scottish beef tagliata, grilled and fried vegetables, a pizza, wine, water, a sorbet, and espressos. All of the finest quality. The service was extremely attentive and friendly. Of course, there was also water for our dog. We will definitely visit the restaurant again. Many thanks to the whole team. Continued success. 01/09/2025: I spent a delightful evening with friends at this restaurant. The food was excellent, and above all, we were treated very courteously, attentively, and pleasantly by the tall, black-haired waiter.

16/10/2025: Closed, the service was terrible. The food wasn't good either. Dead insects on my table. Never been to such a bad restaurant.

29/11/2025: The sushi quality was well above average, but the service was inconsistent: there were four of us (two couples) and we ordered from the all-you-can-eat menu. The waiter initially expressed his concerns about the order being a bit larger than he was probably used to, and for our own good, he advised us to reduce it a bit. So far, so good. The problem is that, despite our reassurances that we shouldn't worry about it and that we would eat everything, he still decided on his own to halve our orders, as well as to space them out with monstrously long pauses. I've literally never waited so long in my life between courses. Fortunately, after repeated complaints, the head waiter/manager intervened and managed to resolve the situation, even offering us an extra item off the menu. The owner's intervention to ensure that everything was to our liking from then on was also appreciated. I didn't want to leave a negative review because the quality of the place is generally high, but this insistence is never appreciated, and the staff should discreetly warn you but then leave it up to the customer to decide whether or not to pay the penalty for the uneaten food. We'll be back for a second try, though. And I hope to improve the review.

18/11/2025: A historic trattoria in Cantalupo, offering a variety of dishes, all meticulously prepared... The house antipasto was excellent and very generous, the tagliata with truffle was superb, the baked potatoes were delicious, and even a simple mixed salad looked and tasted great. The young owner was friendly and attentive, and he also expertly selected the background music.

06/11/2025: A hidden gem in the village of Cantalupo. A welcoming, old-world atmosphere, with Italian music from the 1960s playing in the background. They serve traditional dishes, as well as some with a modern twist. The food is divine! Highly recommended.

10/12/2025: Even though it was already a little late for lunch, we were welcomed kindly. We would have made do with what was available, but instead we ate everything from appetizer to dessert, which was excellent. If it weren't too far from Rome, it would be our favorite restaurant.

08/12/2025: We went for lunch. I didn't know this place, so we stopped in and were surprised. The welcome was excellent, the food was excellent, and the place was spotless. Anyone passing by should stop by, it's worth it. Thanks to the lady for her kindness.

13/11/2025: An obligatory stop for anyone passing through Aci Castello or for anyone who simply wants to go, whenever they want, to eat well. Nice, family-run, very tidy and clean place located in the center of Aci castello. The Chef's cuisine embraces the Sicilian tradition, menu for all tastes with abundant dishes, particular and unforgettable flavours. He uses an excellent dough for the pizza which results very digestible with a very good seasoning (I took the Sbarretta, delicious). Very fresh fish dishes (I took one of their specialities, the "Ionian fried", with a crunchy pastry, fried fish and courgettes on a bed of SUPER salad!) DOC wines (the prosecco was excellent). I also had the opportunity to taste the Commendable first courses from the chef. The dessert was also very good, I took the hot heart, super soft and chocolaty. The cocktails prepared by qualified and very friendly professional barmen. Kind, helpful, hospitable staff, very professional, attentive to customer care and fast. The place allows also a recreational activity: "the game of chess". What can I say, an experience that I would do again and propose to anyone looking for a place where you can eat well at a good price with impeccable service in an enchanting place like Aci castello. Highly recommended!

20/12/2025: We probably didn't experience the à la carte dishes, but our set menu dinner was decent. Nothing particularly WOW!, but good. The service was less than stellar.

11/12/2025: I was there 2 weeks ago, the porchetta was excellent, but then there was no show. The staff were friendly, it was a shame the place was a bit small, but it wasn't a problem.

10/12/2025: My wife and I have lived in Lazio for over two years. We've tried local dishes in several restaurants, and to date, we can honestly say this is where we've had the best Roman first courses! The staff was also very welcoming and friendly. We'll be back with great pleasure.

The food is simply delicious: every dish is carefully crafted, with balanced flavors and quality ingredients. Special thanks to Chef Francesco, who not only delighted us with his refined cuisine but also took the time to personally greet us—a gesture we greatly appreciated. His dishes are a true delight. I will definitely be back!

20/06/2025: This was one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to in my life! The food was superb and the atmosphere was so warm and authentic. 5th generation owned and operated estate. If you are looking for the “Nonna” experience, this is it!! I felt like I was having dinner with relatives while there. Top dishes for us: Onion antipasto, Ravioli, Tempura zucchini, Tiramisu.

08/11/2025: All the dishes are delicious, delicate, and unique, even the simple trofie with pesto are exquisite. We'll definitely be returning.

07/12/2025: We went to this pizzeria for the "Luci d'Artista" event. I called around 1:00 PM to reserve a table for 8:30 PM, but was told that reservations weren't possible; you'd be put on a "waiting list" (a list that the staff completely ignores). We waited over an hour for our table (2 people). The food was excellent, high-quality, and the pizza was delicious. Special compliments go to our waitress, Natalia, who was friendly and calm with everyone, and eager to accommodate everyone's needs. Average price.
