I've been coming to this place since it was in the center of the pedestrian area, and I've always found the owner to be more than helpful. I think whoever wrote the latest reviews 1. May have the wrong place, given that recently, someone has been using the historic name "Il Cortiletto" in another location, which is also the old one. W 2. It could be that, given the current mood, where people go out think that anyone serving them in a bar, restaurant, or whatever is on a par with a slave. I'm sorry, but that's not the case. These people are human and should be treated with respect, especially because they really work so hard that we can't even imagine. 3. To Eleonora Piccinni, who posted a review but on a private profile, either you're friends with a competitor, or you have social issues. Because that way, you're not letting people see your review, and above all, you're not allowing the place to respond. You're just hiding, perhaps out of spite. In closing, go to this place, "Il Cortiletto" and don't be influenced by certain people who write just because they don't know what to do. 02/11/2025: The owner is rude. We went to this bar a few weeks ago and had a bad experience. An hour before closing, the owner turned up the music so loud we couldn't even talk to each other. He called a friend of mine on his cell phone to let us know it was closing and then immediately turned off the lights without giving us time to go downstairs to the exit door. He insulted a friend of mine and had the nerve to hide and run off the terrace. I'll never go to a place like that again. I feel sorry for the friendly staff.

12/10/2025: Be careful with the affogato al caffè, which costs 6 euros. A 3.50 cone is better.

08/08/2025: The first kebab sandwich they made for me was completely wet, with no meat; all I could see was the white sauce and the damp bread. I'll have it remade, okay... the bread was mediocre, not wet, and the ingredients inside were awful. I'm hungry, but this isn't a kebab. And I usually like it. Highly not recommended.

21/07/2025: De vacaciones en Lago di Varese, pedimosn3 pizzas take away, riquisimas! excelente masa y productos frescos. . No nos quedamos a comer ahi pero el instante que esperamos las pizzas , observamos que el ambiente era muy agradable , atendido por sus dueños y familia, el sitio estaba lleno, señal de que se come muy bien!! volveremos en otra oportunidad

Lavorando anch’io al pubblico, mostro sempre comprensione di fronte a disservizi o inconvenienti che possono capitare perché comprendo che il lavoro del ristoratore e del cameriere sia difficile. Ma quando si è serviti con sufficienza,senza senso di accoglienza e si deve pure assistere a battibecchi fra colleghi, sinceramente certe cose da parte mia non sono accettabili perché viene a mancare il rispetto nei confronti del cliente.

30/10/2025: I "mistakenly" found myself at this place on my lunch break... the window said: lunch menu: sandwich/piadina + chips + drink, and in brackets, beers from €33 to €7 (I'll post the photo as proof). When I asked for a menu with beer, they told me I'd pay €10. 🤔🤔 When I asked for an explanation, I was told that the €7 menu only included a Coke drink...!! I refused to order and took photos and videos of what was happening, because, I repeat, there was a sign in the shop window with a 7 euro menu... When the owner realized I was filming, he came out and told me he was willing to not charge me as long as I didn't publish photos and videos... I obviously refused... now I will publish the photos... but for the full video of what happened go to my Instagram page. I hope the owner reads this comment, because I would like to tell him that I am Egyptian like him, and my parents opened a business 50 years ago, and I don't want to see people like that anymore, who by being smart, make us honest people who have always worked hard to pay the price...!!! But because of these "smart guys" we lose credibility...!!

02/09/2025: I'm passing by this bar and enter thirsty, eager to order a tonic. The place has a number of customers at the counter ready to choose artisanal gelato served by a distinguished gentleman, while, still behind the counter, a woman, presumably the owner, is talking on the phone, giving my presence no more importance than two other people and two young men who, evidently due to the long wait, get up and leave. What left me completely stunned is how the lady looked at me at the counter and didn't care at all that I'd been waiting for over 10 minutes. As soon as the gelato aisle was free, I was served by the gentleman who proved much more efficient than the lady, who is probably still on the phone. Tip: maybe it was even an important call; I could have just stepped down from the counter and no one would have taken offense.

27/11/2025: I'm sorry to say this, but the sandwich I bought wasn't the best for the €10 price. Besides the quality, there's no transparency. The sandwiches on display aren't labeled with the price, so you'll be disappointed or surprised to find out at the cashier when the price has already been entered. If I'd known that price, I wouldn't have bought the sandwich. The staff told me to read the price list. Yes, but where was it? And it's written in very small print. I'm sorry, but it's not fair to not display the prices.

14/09/2025: Bad experience. I went to lunch with my boyfriend, and he went to order a vegetarian platter for me at the counter. My platter was completely different from what was on the menu. They didn't say anything like, "We don't have these products, but we can make a different platter anyway," absolutely nothing. I found myself eating things I didn't want to eat. When confronted, they didn't comment, but explained it away as "a fit of fantasy." Oh, and as if that weren't enough, there was a hair on the Parmesan cubes.

14/06/2025: I understand that it's a job that's always in contact with people, but if you don't like the job of a bartender, don't do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Madam, I was treated very badly.
