16/10/2025: Good traditional dishes, especially the Pan sciat. This family-run restaurant has a very kind owner. It's a shame there's no menu with prices, and there was a surprise at checkout, which wasn't very welcome, especially as it ruined what had been a lovely Sunday lunch.

26/10/2025: I arrived on a late train and saw that they were open until 11:00pm. I arrived at 10:05pm and the restaurant was empty. I asked if their kitchen was still open. They said it was. I thanked them. Everyone working there glared at me as I was sat. The waiter walked up and as he handed me the menu, without any other greeting, said “you have 15 minutes” then proceeded to stand next to me until I ordered. He came back briefly to literally THROW a bag (yes, a bag, not a basket, not a plate) of stale bread at me. I was promptly served microwaved lasagna that was too hard around the edges to eat. This, along with a small salad and one glass of wine, cost me 30€. I was, in fact, out of there in less than 15 minutes. Here’s an idea: if you aren’t open till 11, don’t say you’re open till 11. The one friendly moment was the chef (I believe) came out of the kitchen and wished me a good evening and bon apatite.

15/11/2025: Passing through on our way to Livigno, we stopped at this lovely restaurant! Once inside, we were struck by the attention to detail in the wood-based decor, which was truly lovely! We ordered pizzoccheri and polenta, and everything was truly delicious!!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

11/08/2025: Durante il mio soggiorno a Livigno, un local mi ha consigliato il Ristoro Fopel per un pranzo lontano dai classici locali turistici. Prenoto per le 13:40, ma l’esperienza si rivela deludente sin dall’arrivo. Con la mia famiglia restiamo in piedi per dieci minuti senza che nessuno ci rivolga la parola; quando finalmente veniamo notati, ci viene detto frettolosamente di aspettare. Dopo ulteriori 15 minuti finalmente ci siamo seduti su uno dei sei tavoli liberi da 25 minuti. Le due cameriere si sono rivelate maleducate, arroganti e antipatiche. Purtroppo, il cibo non è riuscito a compensare il servizio: le tagliatelle ai porcini erano secche e non sapevano affatto di porcini. Col senno di poi, saremmo andati via dopo i primi dieci minuti di attesa. Consiglio: prendere un secondo piatto. Importante: pagamento solo in contanti.

04/08/2025: A pochi km dall’abitato di Livigno l’unica realtà verace che esce fuori dal delirio commerciale del centro della cittadina Senza fronzoli, cibo del luogo cucinato in maniera tradizionale a prezzi contenuti. Vale un passaggio

29/09/2025: Excellent campsite. We stayed here in July 2025. We were traveling from Italy to Switzerland. We found ourselves stranded between Lake Lugano and Lake Como. We tried numerous campsites and couldn't find a place to stay overnight. Every campsite was full. We started calling every campsite within a 100 km radius. Then Campodolcino Camping called us back and said they were ready to accommodate us and would be waiting for us. The campsite is clean, cozy, and very affordable. The bathrooms are clean. There's unlimited hot water. We were very satisfied.

06/09/2025: I spent a night at the campsite during the Via Spluga Walk. The manager was very kind and helpful, but the campsite offers no services for guests arriving on foot, by bike, or by motorbike. There are no common areas or kitchens, and the bathrooms are in need of a thorough renovation. It's designed specifically for regular seasonal guests. No services are accessible to people with disabilities.

26/07/2025: Filetto al pepe verde and Tiramisu were 10/10👌 I especially liked that the tiramisu was made with coffee and wasn't too sweet like in many other places.

18/07/2025: Upon arrival, even though there wasn't a seat occupied, they asked us if we had a reservation 😜. Then every 5 minutes they came to check if we were finished, not even very discreetly. The pizza is good, but 80 euros for 4 pizzas, two beers, and two Cokes seems a bit excessive.
