The gelato is simply exceptional, truly stellar quality that wins you over from the first taste. Kudos to Beppe, thank you, thank you, thank you!
P.S. I recommend everyone in the area to stop by!
17/08/2025: Today I accidentally had some ice cream. The yogurt was superb, and the hazelnuts were really good too! I'll definitely be back.

07/01/2026: A truly wonderful place in the heart of the city. The atmosphere is very refined and spotlessly clean.
The menu is truly excellent, and the aperitif and dinner options are all amazing!
A well-deserved round of applause goes to the kitchen staff! Everyone is attentive and super friendly, from the owner to the bartender Martina, who always welcomes you with a smile.
The atmosphere is very welcoming, and you'll find plenty of regulars to chat with. Congratulations for the dedication and love you put into your work!

15/10/2025: Great place to kill some of 4 hour wait we had before heading back on the Bernina express, whilst trying to avoid the more touristy places. Lots of locals clearly dining here which gives it more of an authentic atmosphere. Service was especially friendly

The local herb grappa is excellent.
Reservations are mandatory, especially if you want pizzoccheri.
The venison dishes are excellent.
06/08/2025: A splendid refuge easily accessible by car, although the Val Belviso road isn't particularly easy. Reservations are required, otherwise you won't find a table. Delicious food at reasonable prices. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. We returned with friends in August 2025, and the food and service were consistently high quality, or rather, top-notch preparation.

29/10/2025: I don't know how this place ended up in the "famous" guide. We didn't dislike it entirely, but it certainly didn't convince us.
The pizzoccheri were good, but not buttery enough (the cheese was good, but they remained a bit dry/compact).
The pasta with wild boar ragù, on the other hand, was bad: it tasted like a normal ragù and didn't taste like game at all. Unfortunately, I was disappointed.
The sciatt were very salty, and the bresaola was good.

11/04/2026: Typical Valtellina dishes, including a generous and varied cheese and cured meat platter. The caramelized onions are delicious, the polenta is excellent, and the sausages are well-cooked. Prices are slightly higher than the local average, but overall, it's recommended.

The food is truly excellent and completely won us over. The quality of the dishes was consistently high on both visits, so we ate there twice during our stay.
Depending on how busy it is, the service can sometimes seem a bit overwhelmed, leading to a wait. While this is a minor drawback, it's understandable given the crowds.
Overall, however, the positive impression far outweighs any minor issues – especially because of the outstanding food. We'll definitely be back.

23/10/2025: We had lunch with children and family with friends to celebrate my son's birthday. We found ourselves in a fabulous environment, to say the least. The owners were very kind and attentive. The portions were super abundant and delicious. The prices were normal. I recommend anyone to try it because they will definitely come back. Congratulations again.
14/09/2025: After a vacation in Bormio, we arrived in Teglio to enjoy the true, authentic, and best Valtellina cuisine. In this tranquil setting, we were welcomed by Francesco, the owner who runs the restaurant with his wife. They are genuine and friendly people who left us with fond memories. The lunch was impeccable, the prices reasonable. Absolutely recommended and memorable. They made me feel like family!!! Truly excellent!!!

09/07/2025: Restaurant was great. Out of town, a lovely place with delicious food. The best meal we had in Bormio!
30/06/2025: We chose this place because of its outdoor seating and food. But they said we had to sit inside because outside was all reserved, even though there were tables available outside for the entire time we were there. Then we ordered and it was nothing special. Only one waiter knew what was going on. He was forthright. Another member of waiting staff had to ask us if we were expecting another course, and, another member of waiting staff tried to end our meal before our mains arrived. This was all very disappointing. One of the mains was very similar to a starter we had had. Why does the chef think that is ok, and, why didn't the waiter warn us when we ordered?

We stayed 2 nights (December 13th and 14th) for 4 people (2 adults and 2 children).
Very spacious quadruple room.
Renovated rooms, excellent location, 5 minutes from the station for the red train.
The very kind owner recommended the best stops.
We also stopped for dinner.
€18 for adults and €12 for children (first course, second course, water, wine, and coffee). Typical dishes and super generous portions.
All-inclusive price €400 (accommodation, breakfast, dinner, and travel tips).
Super! We'll be back.
14/12/2025: A simple but very pleasant place. The rooms are spacious and adequate, and the breakfast is simple but perfectly fine. I felt very comfortable.

23/03/2026: You call 20 times, no one answers, when you arrive they're full, and instead of apologizing for not answering, they tell you there wasn't room anyway. Great way to treat customers.

07/04/2026: The staff were extremely kind and friendly. We had plans to take the Bernina Express the following day, and they prepared breakfast for us earlier than scheduled. The food was delicious, and the view from the rooms was breathtaking. This is my second stay, and I'll definitely be back again.

The owners are extremely kind and polite, making you feel right at home. The hotel is also very good: clean, simple but beautiful and well-kept rooms. We will definitely be back.
