24/07/2025: Great place with delicious food! In winter, you're right on the slopes, and in summer, you can enjoy wonderful hiking and mountain biking in the surrounding area.

17/07/2025: I didn't see the rooms; I spent the day working from home. Beautiful place, fresh air, and I ate well. It's listed as a 20-minute walk from Bormio 2000, but I think 30 minutes is more reasonable. Cars can't get there, which is a plus for those who want to walk. For those who struggle with uphill climbs, it can be reached even without a 4x4.

13/07/2025: More than a restaurant, I would define it as a high-level culinary experience: my husband, our son, and I preferred to order dishes without choosing the menu: cutting boards, polenta, pizzoccheri, and ribs, all top-notch! The ribs melted in your mouth and were flavored just right, every dish was tasty and refined at the same time, the wine was top-notch, and the staff was quick and friendly in serving us. Finally, we went to the crotto and they gave us a delicious salami. We had been here 8 years ago and I was 9 months pregnant with our son, going back was wonderful, they are always better and more attentive to customers! Absolutely to do again!!! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

20/07/2025: 20 luglio 2025 Questa mattina, intorno alle 8, mi sono seduto al tavolo esterno del bar per fare colazione e acquistare un pacchetto di sigarette. Purtroppo l’esperienza è stata pessima. Dopo qualche minuto è uscita una dipendente – una ragazza tra i 20 e i 25 anni, alta circa 1 metro e 60, capelli castano chiaro di media lunghezza legati – che mi ha detto “arrivo subito”, salvo poi tornare dopo un’attesa prolungata con un atteggiamento strafottente. Le ho chiesto gentilmente un caffè e le sigarette, ma ha sogghignato rispondendo che “forse non poteva portare le sigarette fuori”. Le ho detto che le avrei pagate subito e che poteva portarmi il resto insieme all’ordine, ma ha risposto in modo ancora più acido e sgarbato. A quel punto le ho fatto notare, con sarcasmo, quanto fosse simpatica, e le ho detto che sarei andato da un’altra parte. Lei ha replicato subito: “Allora vai.” E così ho fatto, ma non prima di mandarla a quel paese, esasperato dalla totale mancanza di rispetto. Un comportamento simile, soprattutto a quell’ora del mattino, è inaccettabile. Non tornerò mai più. This morning around 8 a.m., I sat at one of the outdoor tables to have breakfast and buy a pack of cigarettes. Unfortunately, the experience was awful. After a few minutes, a staff member came out — a young woman between 20 and 25 years old, about 1.60 meters tall, with medium-length light brown hair tied back — and said “I’ll be right with you,” but didn’t return for a while. When she finally did, her attitude was smug and dismissive. I politely asked for a coffee and a pack of cigarettes, but she smirked and said she “probably couldn’t bring cigarettes outside.” I told her I could pay immediately and she could bring me the change with the rest of the order, but her reply was even more acidic and rude. I sarcastically commented on how “friendly” she was and said I’d go somewhere else. Her only response: “Then go.” So I did — but not before expressing exactly how I felt about her attitude. Such disrespectful behavior, especially first thing in the morning, is completely unacceptable. I will never return.

20/07/2025: We used the hotel restaurant. The price/quality ratio was truly excellent. We really appreciated the fact that there was no cell phone reception downstairs, where it was very comfortable. The dishes were excellent. The meat fell off the bone and was of excellent quality. So were the hams. The cheese was also excellent, and its dairy aftertaste was perfectly evident. We also had two slices of cake, which were truly excellent. Highly recommended.

19/07/2025: Cambio di gestione da quest'anno. Ristorante ottimo con cibi tipici della valle e alta qualità delle carni locali servite. Molto bene anche aperitivo e tutto nel complesso. Ovviamente la location è rimasta quella di sempre con accoglienza in locali storici di metà 1700...senza eguali in valle! Avanti così!

21/06/2025: Stopped for lunch before the Spluga dam. Very welcoming place, as well as the really friendly staff. Not to mention the food, very good pizzoccheri not to mention the ribs out of the ordinary. Really everything excellent

19/06/2025: Unsatisfactory lunchtime work menu, awful I would say. Pasta in bianco or au gratin with bechamel sauce (only this) Second courses: hamburger or sausage with side dish. On the other hand, the side dish was good (I only had the spinach) For 10 euros, all in all, with water included, it's fine. Friendly and fast service. If you have time and a little more money, going up there is better.

26/07/2025: Ci ha invitati un caro amico per assaporare i pizzoccheri, giunti sul luogo sperduto, il locale retrò di un tempo, quando ci vengono serviti i pizzoccheri a tavolo da un piato da portata, la ragazza ci invita a dire basta, questo è stato piacevole… la signora titolare dice che li prepara tutte le mattine. A me hanno lasciato perplesso, il personale dovrebbe essere tutto famiglia, svogliati non attenti ai commensali lavorano per inerzia. I Sciatt vengono serviti di nr. 5 non serviti su insalatina tagliata finissima con quel gusto amarognolo, ho preso una cotoletta petto di pollo, arriva una fettina che non sarà stato nemmeno 50,g. contorno delle verdure in acro-dolce. Eppure vi sono persone che restano estasiate di quanto servito, questo mi resterà sempre un rebus ….

04/07/2025: Beautiful place, excellent restaurant and good accommodation for the night. The rooms are small but with all the comforts and very clean, there is also a terrace with chairs and a table excellent for relaxing in absolute tranquility. The managers are fantastic, helpful, courteous and very attentive to the needs of the guests (they made space in the garage to shelter our motorbike), very good pizzoccheri, good wine, liqueurs, cheeses, desserts .... Abundant portions and if that's not enough .... Encores! Very good prices

27/07/2025: Very good pizza near the waterfall. Fair prices, delicious Aperol, fresh, aromatic, and Italian-style pizza. Ample and convenient parking.

26/07/2025: The pizzeria is located on the road from Chiavenna up towards Switzerland's Maloja Pass, opposite the stunning Acqua Fraggia waterfalls. Convenient and ample parking. Outdoor seating is also available. Delicate, thin-crust pizza. Informal atmosphere.

25/05/2025: We were a group of 27 people and we spent a wonderful day in this little refuge immersed in beauty! We ate outside, with an enchanting view that made the experience even more special. The managers were super kind and helpful, always attentive and smiling despite our large group. We enjoyed a mixed appetizer, followed by a very tender braised meat with polenta and a really tasty stew with mushrooms. To finish, a selection of delicious desserts: chocolate salami, fruit tart and tiramisu. Everything was well-kept and plentiful, CONGRATULATIONS! Absolutely to recommend and to return.

30/07/2025: Magnificent!! is the first adjective that comes to mind, but perhaps it's not enough to describe our experience at the Cristallo Hotel. The room was perfect, clean, welcoming, and complete with every amenity. Good breakfast. Excellent dinner, high-quality food and cuisine, Lorenza truly superb. The staff was helpful and kind, attentive to our every request. And finally, the icing on the cake was Maura, the owner: AWESOME, KIND, COMPETENT, and THOUGHTFUL. She makes the hotel feel like a big family. I highly recommend staying at this hotel. Tany and Angela

20/06/2025: Yesterday we had lunch in this establishment, four of us, one of whom was in a wheelchair, so no problem with access. We stayed outside, as it was a hot day. Parking is available and free, as the establishment is adjacent to the supermarket. It is self-service, so the customers are their own waiters. The food is limited to a few first courses and a few second courses, plus desserts, but cooked very well. There is also a bar, for hot drinks. Very cheap prices, generous portions, a public establishment to recommend.

24/04/2025: Really sweet people, good coffee and food. They try to talk English. Asked them if I could work on my laptop and they were completely fine with it. Good WiFi and and special area in the back with multiple power outlets.
