14/01/2026: If I go to Livigno, the Hotel Cristallo is my go-to. Unfortunately, I almost always only manage to stay for 2 or 3 nights, and I've even been unable to find a single room available. But I can explain why perfectly well. The thoughtfulness, Maura's hospitality, Lorenza's excellent cuisine, and the kindness of all their staff contribute to making every guest's stay a success.

20/12/2025: Excellent! 5 well-deserved stars. We've been coming to this hotel for three years now (that's saying something) on ​​a half-board basis, and we also stayed at the sister hotel Valtellina a year before. The staff is magnificent, as is the welcome. The owner, Maura, is very kind and always available. Everyone is very friendly and makes you feel at home. The food is excellent, the rooms are spotless, and the hotel is within easy walking distance of Livigno's center and some ski slopes. There's a heated locker for your ski equipment and a covered garage (so your car doesn't freeze). The bus stop is in front of the hotel (blue and red lines), and the yellow and green lines are a three-minute walk away—a truly strategic location for reaching every part of Livigno. The addition of the wellness area is a plus; after a day of skiing, spending an hour in the hotel spa is very relaxing. Then we continued to the city center for a bit of shopping and a visit to the Christmas markets before dinner to stretch our legs a bit. Breakfast buffet with eggs and toast included in the price (gluten- and lactose-free options are also available—the omelette is highly recommended!) A la carte dinner with multiple choices (accommodating everyone from carnivores to vegetarians to fish eaters—a very varied selection. The meat, cheese, fish, soups, pasta, and salads change daily, including traditional dishes. Delicious desserts; the strudel, crème brulee, panna cotta, gelato, Nutella cake, and tiramisu are highly recommended—we tried almost everything.) We only stayed in Livigno in the winter, but we'll be back in the summer/spring with our dog—an extra star because the hotel is super pet-friendly and is also home to two friendly dogs who will brighten up your day. Excellent price - Free ski pass (low season) + half-board hotel. Unbeatable value for money.

07/06/2026: For a first time I would say more than excellent! A pleasant accidental discovery... 60 km from home crossing the San Marco Pass but worth returning!!!

09/05/2026: The appetizer (mixed seafood), the first course (squid ink gnocchi with scallops and lemon), and the main course (whitefish with potatoes) were excellent. Unfortunately, the desserts weren't exceptional; they would have been better for breakfast than as a dessert at the end of the meal (apple flan and chestnut tartlet). Overall, a very good dinner and excellent service, but the dessert definitely needs updating.

17/05/2026: Very nice and clean location. I went there for dinner and ate sciat and pizzoccheri, of course! Everything was very good and the portions were just right. And what about the wine? Excellent! The staff was very polite and helpful. Recommended.

Perfect location halfway between the ski slopes and the village of Teglio. Clean, warm, and welcoming rooms. Recommended for couples or families.

30/05/2026: A truly noteworthy restaurant. This splendid restaurant is located within an elegant hotel, featuring a refined and welcoming atmosphere. The menu is strongly rooted in tradition, with interesting reinterpretations that showcase local flavors without distorting them. The kitchen's entrée was a delight: a delicate and delicious cream of vegetable soup. For our appetizer, we chose venison bresaola with ricotta and walnuts, a balanced and truly excellent combination. Next, a magnificent loin of venison with wild blueberries and polenta: simply spectacular. The slow-cooked rack of lamb over vegetable spaghetti was also excellent, prepared with great care and precision. Generous portions, impeccable cooking, and top-quality ingredients complete a first-class gastronomic experience. A highly recommended stop for those who love good food. Congratulations to the entire staff!

29/03/2026: We had an absolutely flawless dining experience here from start to finish. The service was impeccable; as soon as we arrived, they took our coats, making us feel welcome immediately. The table was beautifully set, and the attention to detail was evident. The entire staff deserves praise-they were all professional and welcoming, and our waiters were incredibly attentive without being intrusive. A praise to the Tiramisu that was authentic and not just a bowl of whipped cream like you find in so many other places. If you want a perfect meal with top-tier service, this is the place

05/05/2026: We really enjoyed lunch at this restaurant. The pizzoccheri were incredibly good. We also tried the local dish, manfrigole. The staff was very courteous and welcoming. A wonderful experience and a wonderful memory.

19/04/2026: The atmosphere is also quaint: a small, yet beautiful, room seating about 50 people, decorated in a medieval theme, with various weapons hanging on the wall. Upon arrival, we're greeted by two suits of armor displayed at the entrance. Arriving at 7:45 PM without a reservation, we were seated (two people). After waiting for over 43 minutes, we were completely ignored at our tables. We called for the attention of the wait staff (two ladies) a few times, but were repeatedly ignored. Meanwhile, the orders of the people who arrived after us were taken, drinks brought, and some even entrees. It's a shame about the place, which seemed nice, and the food, which (just from a distance) looked good. If the issue had been related to the reservation, it would have been enough to mention it anyway, and we would have looked elsewhere without a problem. If not, it would have been interesting to understand the reason instead—considering that it wasn't related to a capacity emergency, as there were still seats available in the restaurant.

02/05/2026: Family-run hotel. Simple rooms with all the essentials, but the real gem is the restaurant. The food is truly excellent: 2 appetizers, 2 first courses, 1 second course, and 1 dessert with half a liter of wine for €74. Everything is plentiful and freshly cooked. Excellent location for visiting all the surrounding valleys. First time visiting Val di Mello, but the owner has already recommended other things to see, so we'll definitely be back!

02/05/2026: I stayed one night with dinner and breakfast while I was hiking the terraced fields of Valtellina. The owner and staff were very friendly and helpful. The next morning, I had a sandwich made with fresh bread and local products, as they have a shop at the hotel entrance. The room isn't the most modern, but it was comfortable and clean, with a balcony and a spectacular view of the valley and the forest. It's a quiet place, perfect for relaxing. The dinner was excellent and the service was attentive. Breakfast was also good, with very fresh croissants. I really enjoyed my stay.
