04/12/2025: The beauty of simplicity and authenticity. This is the feeling I had during my lunch at Trattoria Achilli. I truly enjoyed my stay. Signora Itala is incredibly kind; she treated me almost like a grandson, and I was deeply touched by it. It's truly admirable that an 80-year-old woman runs the place and makes sure her customers feel comfortable. Many compliments, indeed! I breathed in the typical atmosphere of old-fashioned Lombard trattorias, and it brought back so many childhood memories. The food was simple, but good and authentic. The atmosphere was very peaceful. The prices were fair. I would gladly return.

23/11/2025: The atmosphere is old and not very pleasant. There's no price list or à la carte menu, so prices aren't clear. You're served the bare minimum of a first course, a fractional portion. If a customer wants more food, they have to ask. The tablecloths are even torn, with holes, and worn to say the least. Everything is excellent, but the setting isn't good. It's expensive for a trattoria.

05/09/2025: Unfortunately, I can't give less than one star. I'm speechless about how ridiculous and superficial the "service" provided in the emergency room is. To say they don't know how to do their job is a compliment. They discharged an 86-year-old man in a state of confusion, and you let him out alone!! An 86-year-old man who waited all night after vomiting blood!! They sent him home with only an abdominal X-ray without contrast. And I should point out that he is also a cancer patient. Ridiculous as can be. I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE GOING TO THIS PLACE.

29/10/2025: Modernista has the best burgers in Pavia! I never expected such good burgers from a bar, but every time I return to Pavia I always come here; it's become my little indulgence. My favorite is "Sì, lo voglio" (Yes, I want it), which is truly delicious. The staff is always kind and welcoming, the service is excellent, and the place (including the bathroom!) is always clean. I've never left Modernista disappointed. Thank you 🫶🏻

22/07/2025: The atmosphere is very pleasant, cheerful and full of young people, with very kind waiters. One flaw: all the cups and straws are plastic! Too bad, too bad, too bad.

03/07/2025: Best kebab in all of Stradella, clean bathrooms, big TV...but the best part is the perfectly cut meat!

24/04/2025: Avoid taking cylinders here as not only are they very expensive but when they returned they didn't want to refund my deposit because I didn't have the receipt from 1 year ago. He likes to pocket money with these subterfuges. Truly terrible service. I won't comment on the delicatessen part but if he behaves like this with customers I can't imagine how he will behave with food. Thanks for the excellent service

09/03/2025: Very friendly owner, offering serenity and refreshment along the Via Francigena, as well as a lovely stamp. I really appreciated this place.

20/09/2025: As always, the cappuccino and croissant were very good. However, every time I go for breakfast, it's crowded due to staff shortages. Two girls can't manage the cash register, bring cappuccinos, and clean tables at the same time. I should point out that the staff is really good at managing everything, but it's just too much work for two. P.S. I gave a €5 tip after paying for the cappuccino and croissant, and the girl was so busy she put it on the register, thinking it was a payment. Manager, let's give these employees a break.

16/09/2025: We ordered brioches and coffees. We had to ask for the coffees three times because they kept forgetting to serve them to the terrace tables. Good product, very slow service

12/07/2025: While walking along Strada Nuova and needing a quick breakfast, I came across this bakery's window display and, inspired by the variety of products, decided to give it a try, since they also have a café. I must say, I wasn't disappointed: while it's true that they offer standard baked croissants, I also find breakfast for just €3 more than reasonable. Furthermore, the staff was among the friendliest and most approachable I've ever encountered in Pavia, a detail that made the overall experience even more enjoyable. I already knew I'd be pleased with the service as soon as I ordered, since the lady serving me was so kind as to ask if I'd like a sprinkle of cinnamon or cocoa on my cappuccino. I rarely get asked this question, which, in its simplicity, shows great customer care. The cappuccino was delicious, by the way, with a particularly rich foam, as it should be. It was also lovely to listen to the conversations between the female staff and the regulars; They created a pleasant break that felt like home. In short, even in the rush of the day, I was pleasantly surprised and satisfied by this brief experience.

09/11/2025: A good, homey osteria where you can enjoy light, tasty dishes. Fast service. The place is minimalist but efficient. The owner is quick and very friendly. I'll be back! Generous portions!

08/12/2025: A delicious aperitif, excellent drinks, and delicious appetizers in the center of Pavia. For an additional €1, you can get a double round of appetizers. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful! We'll definitely be back!

15/09/2025: The place is welcoming and the staff is kind, but this doesn't justify paying €2 for a small ginseng, when the menu said €1.60... what a shame.

11/09/2025: This ice cream shop offers delicious, well-made desserts and ice cream. It's a shame the prices are too high. The place is small, and sometimes it's hard to find a table.

08/10/2025: Attention new management terrible kitchen inedible we sat down at 12.40 place practically empty the first arrived after 45 minutes food inedible at 1.45pm the second arrived which were even worse we got up and refused to eat and at the cashier we paid the normal price even complaining about the inedible food

25/08/2025: We decided to visit Belgioso Castle as a couple, and booked this hotel. We weren't wrong. The rooms were comfortable and spotless. But what struck me most was the warm welcome from the owners and staff. Everyone was attentive to our well-being and made our short stay pleasant with kindness and affection. The cuisine was impeccable both at lunch and dinner, from appetizers to first courses, main courses, and pizzas, all with clearly top-quality ingredients. We will definitely be back. Thank you.

25/08/2025: We stayed in Belgioioso to visit the castle, and we chose Hotel Cavaliere, and we will definitely return. The name speaks for itself. The staff is helpful, the owners are friendly, and ready to offer excellent culinary recommendations. The food is first-rate. The pizzas feature unique and delicious combinations. The stay was extremely pleasant and enjoyable. The rooms were clean and tidy. See you soon.

16/07/2025: Here too we asked for a chair but we couldn't get one, so we sat on the walls of the windows and ate an ice cream that wasn't even very good.
