08/10/2025: Attention new management terrible kitchen inedible we sat down at 12.40 place practically empty the first arrived after 45 minutes food inedible at 1.45pm the second arrived which were even worse we got up and refused to eat and at the cashier we paid the normal price even complaining about the inedible food

12/07/2025: While walking along Strada Nuova and needing a quick breakfast, I came across this bakery's window display and, inspired by the variety of products, decided to give it a try, since they also have a café. I must say, I wasn't disappointed: while it's true that they offer standard baked croissants, I also find breakfast for just €3 more than reasonable. Furthermore, the staff was among the friendliest and most approachable I've ever encountered in Pavia, a detail that made the overall experience even more enjoyable. I already knew I'd be pleased with the service as soon as I ordered, since the lady serving me was so kind as to ask if I'd like a sprinkle of cinnamon or cocoa on my cappuccino. I rarely get asked this question, which, in its simplicity, shows great customer care. The cappuccino was delicious, by the way, with a particularly rich foam, as it should be. It was also lovely to listen to the conversations between the female staff and the regulars; They created a pleasant break that felt like home. In short, even in the rush of the day, I was pleasantly surprised and satisfied by this brief experience.

25/08/2025: We stayed in Belgioioso to visit the castle, and we chose Hotel Cavaliere, and we will definitely return. The name speaks for itself. The staff is helpful, the owners are friendly, and ready to offer excellent culinary recommendations. The food is first-rate. The pizzas feature unique and delicious combinations. The stay was extremely pleasant and enjoyable. The rooms were clean and tidy. See you soon.

25/08/2025: We decided to visit Belgioso Castle as a couple, and booked this hotel. We weren't wrong. The rooms were comfortable and spotless. But what struck me most was the warm welcome from the owners and staff. Everyone was attentive to our well-being and made our short stay pleasant with kindness and affection. The cuisine was impeccable both at lunch and dinner, from appetizers to first courses, main courses, and pizzas, all with clearly top-quality ingredients. We will definitely be back. Thank you.

16/07/2025: Here too we asked for a chair but we couldn't get one, so we sat on the walls of the windows and ate an ice cream that wasn't even very good.

20/07/2025: Be careful if you're not local: €1.60 for a coffee and a glass of water. I paid in advance, but the lady at the counter punched the amount into the POS without saying anything, without specifying that I would pay "40 cents for a glass of water." After I complained and drank the water, she told me I could refuse it and get my 40 cents back. Hmm!!

21/09/2025: A day out with a visit to Zavatarello Castle and a walk in the woods. We decided to stop for something to eat, and around 1:30 PM we stopped at the restaurant. It was late for lunch, so we opted for an aperitivo. There was a very long wait for our table to be cleared so we could order. The blackboard listed: pizzas, focaccias, toasted sandwiches, and platters... Then we were told they were busy, so there was nothing to eat. No pizzas, no focaccias, no toasted sandwiches... just the platter. We ordered two Spritzes, two lemon sodas, and a platter... The final surprise? For two Spritzes, two lemon sodas, and a platter, we paid €50, because the platter was labeled "Tasting of Oltrepò Products"!!! At the "modest" price of €30!!! In any restaurant, a platter will cost you €15, €18, or €20 at most!!! It was a real bum joke, not an aperitif! Oh, and the price of the "tasting" wasn't listed anywhere! And then again, the word "tasting" usually means lunch or dinner, perhaps accompanied by good wine. An aperitif with a tasting is simply RIDICULOUS!

19/09/2025: We were in transit! Rooms, Hot water, coffee and tea. Free croissants and coffee in the morning!

04/12/2025: Very nice place, well-stocked, and above all, very clean. Fresh produce is very good, but overall, everything is very expensive compared to the competition in Pavia and the surrounding area. Furthermore, unlike many others, this store only allows you to use your health card for non-fresh produce. Many people profit from this, as if celiac disease were a whim and not a disease... let's remember that everyone has the right to eat.

05/09/2025: Definitely clean and tidy. The service is a bit expensive at €25 per kilo for the focaccia. It's good, no doubt, but it's excessive. At least the paper placemat could be avoided by charging a cover charge, but I understand that there are operating costs. Compliments to the polite and smiling waiters.

21/08/2025: Too bad I've taken it in person several times, always good. Unfortunately, on Monday, due to a back problem, I ordered three pizzas at 8:00 pm for home delivery for 8:30/8:45 pm. At 9:20 pm they still hadn't arrived, I called back and they assured us that they would deliver by 10:00/10:10 pm, apologizing because they had a lot of orders and to make up for it, they gave us a free Coke. I was ok, no problem. At 11:00 pm the pizza still hadn't arrived, in the end I had to order from McDonald's. If you had delivery problems, you could have told me when I called back the second time so I wouldn't have to wait for you for 3 hours...

18/08/2025: I placed an order for a pizza, but it was never delivered...I'm speechless.

01/12/2025: The place was disgusting, and the pizza was probably mediocre and the toppings disgusting, but the clothes were awful. There were two pizza chefs. One was young, but polite. He wore clean white clothes. He was probably new to the place. He had a smiling face and looked young, not twenty-something. The other was thin, with a beard and long hair down to his chin. He wasn't a suitable pizza chef. In fact, his clothes, his pizza-making technique, and the way he was treated were inhuman. He had an ugly face when he was angry. I think his name was [Mustafa]. He wasn't a suitable assistant because of his clothes. There was me, very mean. my husband and my eight-year-old daughter. And there was Camirara, a polite and attractive young man, cleanly dressed and very polite. He served us calmly... Unfortunately, we never saw each other again.

01/11/2025: I've lived in this area forever but I'd never been here to eat. The place is a bit like my neighborhood, in fact: the food is a bit bland, portions are adequate (I'm not a big eater anyway), the place is beautiful, with sturdy furniture and terracotta floors, but it was decorated many years ago. It feels a bit stuck in time, and perhaps that's the most interesting thing. The food and staff are a bit bland, as I said. I think it's supported by regulars who don't read the reviews, so that's fine. 😂

20/09/2025: Fantastic location, we celebrated my daughter's confirmation, top service, excellent food quality, a true farmhouse with products from the farm. Excellent wine from the farm without limits, so even for the food they stopped by to ask who wanted more. Highly recommended and we will definitely be back. TOP
