29/10/2025: Modernista has the best burgers in Pavia! I never expected such good burgers from a bar, but every time I return to Pavia I always come here; it's become my little indulgence. My favorite is "Sì, lo voglio" (Yes, I want it), which is truly delicious. The staff is always kind and welcoming, the service is excellent, and the place (including the bathroom!) is always clean. I've never left Modernista disappointed. Thank you 🫶🏻

22/07/2025: The atmosphere is very pleasant, cheerful and full of young people, with very kind waiters. One flaw: all the cups and straws are plastic! Too bad, too bad, too bad.

08/06/2025: My friend and I went in the morning to get 2 cappuccinos and a croissant. We sat outside at the tables in the shade so as not to die of heat. After 10 minutes they brought our things to the next table, the only other table there. After another 10 minutes they realized the mistake, took the croissant from the next table and took it from us. After another 10 minutes they brought us the cappuccino, but by then we were in the sun and were cooking. I had to go into the bar because the waitress who told me she would arrive with the POS didn't show up after 15 minutes. Terrible experience.

26/05/2025: The waitress pushes for consumption, disrespectful. We order a lemonade and get orange juice, with no option to change.

24/09/2025: A historic Vigevano pastry shop with an adjoining bar, the staff are very friendly and helpful. A special mention goes to the large pizzas, which I've been eating for over forty years and are always delicious. Recommended.

12/11/2025: Very nice location, attentive and friendly staff. I find the prices a bit excessive for a soy cappuccino and a puff pastry cake that's not very crumbly, to boot. Oh well! I don't think I'll be back!

18/07/2025: Good food, good service, very small space

22/11/2025: The place has gotten much worse. It's cold and unheated, especially on Friday nights during karaoke. The menu is the same, even though they have heaters and heat pumps, they never turn them on, so you're freezing. They've even removed the €25 Friday night menu. There's disorganization between orders and table deliveries, even though they have PDAs. They don't know who gets what. Service is very poor, even small children serving at tables. They even get the bill wrong. You pay for drinks you haven't consumed. Luckily, they order with PDAs if they actually know how to use them. Check your receipt carefully before paying. Let's hope they improve the service and everything else by working more attentively and professionally towards their customers, if they want to keep them. The only positive thing about Friday nights is karaoke, with Giulia, who manages to keep the guests entertained.

02/11/2025: Friday night pinsa round with lousy karaoke, you have to ask for more and when they arrive, if they are rejected by the others, they are always cold, always the same flavors, they have no imagination to create more with different fillings.

04/12/2025: The beauty of simplicity and authenticity. This is the feeling I had during my lunch at Trattoria Achilli. I truly enjoyed my stay. Signora Itala is incredibly kind; she treated me almost like a grandson, and I was deeply touched by it. It's truly admirable that an 80-year-old woman runs the place and makes sure her customers feel comfortable. Many compliments, indeed! I breathed in the typical atmosphere of old-fashioned Lombard trattorias, and it brought back so many childhood memories. The food was simple, but good and authentic. The atmosphere was very peaceful. The prices were fair. I would gladly return.

23/11/2025: The atmosphere is old and not very pleasant. There's no price list or à la carte menu, so prices aren't clear. You're served the bare minimum of a first course, a fractional portion. If a customer wants more food, they have to ask. The tablecloths are even torn, with holes, and worn to say the least. Everything is excellent, but the setting isn't good. It's expensive for a trattoria.

24/04/2025: Avoid taking cylinders here as not only are they very expensive but when they returned they didn't want to refund my deposit because I didn't have the receipt from 1 year ago. He likes to pocket money with these subterfuges. Truly terrible service. I won't comment on the delicatessen part but if he behaves like this with customers I can't imagine how he will behave with food. Thanks for the excellent service

09/03/2025: Very friendly owner, offering serenity and refreshment along the Via Francigena, as well as a lovely stamp. I really appreciated this place.

20/09/2025: As always, the cappuccino and croissant were very good. However, every time I go for breakfast, it's crowded due to staff shortages. Two girls can't manage the cash register, bring cappuccinos, and clean tables at the same time. I should point out that the staff is really good at managing everything, but it's just too much work for two. P.S. I gave a €5 tip after paying for the cappuccino and croissant, and the girl was so busy she put it on the register, thinking it was a payment. Manager, let's give these employees a break.

16/09/2025: We ordered brioches and coffees. We had to ask for the coffees three times because they kept forgetting to serve them to the terrace tables. Good product, very slow service
