23/12/2025: A rustic, family-run restaurant in the heart of Varzi, highly regarded for its traditional Lombard cuisine, featuring local specialties such as homemade ravioli with braised beef, pisarei e faso (a kind of pasta with beans), local cured meats, and fresh artisanal pasta. These dishes are accompanied by homemade desserts and a wine cellar specializing in Oltrepò Pavese wines. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the service friendly and informal, and the excellent value (around €20-€30 per person) and generous portions make it ideal for a hearty lunch or dinner (though sometimes the service can be a bit long because the dishes are freshly prepared).

17/03/2026: At 12:00, my elderly mother had to eat, and on the way home from the Maugeri Hospital in Pavia, I came across this osteria! I said, "It's all or nothing... let's go for it!" A simple place, but neat and clean. The lady who welcomed us was kind and helpful. The food was excellent, just like the old osterias of old! Everything was homemade. Ordered First course: tortelli with ragù sauce (I couldn't help but mop up the sauce with the sauce!) Milanese cutlet (lightly fried, not greasy), delicious, baked potatoes golden brown and flavorful, Spinach, oil, and lemon Housemade tiramisu (don't miss it, it was the best dessert I've ever had!) A quart of still red wine and sparkling water. To finish, 2 coffees, actually 3 because I accidentally spilled the first one😢 Fresh bread, crackers, and grated parmesan were also available! So, stop here. Spent €32 Finally, a place like it used to be. Thanks, and we'll be back soon.

04/01/2026: The wine might be delicious. We'll never know, because even though we'd booked a tasting, when we arrived, we were treated like unwanted guests. It was 5:00 PM. We tour wineries all over Italy, but we'd never felt like we were disturbing anyone.

I want to give this tobacco shop a positive review for their extreme kindness and professionalism, in every way.... If you're in the area, don't hesitate to stop by for a delicious breakfast or any of the other services they offer.... The owner is exceptional...

24/12/2025: Corso 62 is a real safe bet when I want to grab a bite to eat just steps from the Castiglione Brugnatelli College. I haven't tried the pizza yet, but the place is perfect for carving out a little corner of Pavia where you can stop and chat for hours, without any major disturbances. I really appreciate the restrooms and the kindness of the staff, although communication can sometimes be difficult due to language barriers. I'm giving it four stars instead of five only because the croissant—which was still very good, especially for the Ischian dough—was very light on filling. It's still a reliable bar, one of those places you'll want to return to.

19/12/2025: A superb restaurant right in the city center. Very tasty food and at a super cheap price. I went 3 times in 5 days, it was really worth it!!

17/10/2025: A welcoming and spacious place. The waitress with the hedgehog hair is truly charming and incredibly sweet, definitely the place's strong point. It's a great place to spend a weekend with friends.

15/12/2025: Spectacular place! A family-run trattoria offering hospitality and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Excellent food, with dishes ranging from excellent pizzas to top-quality meat and fish dishes. I've been their guest several times and they've always made me feel very welcome! Highly recommended, 5 stars are too few!! I'll definitely be back as soon as I can.

13/12/2025: I'm sorry, but we're not there yet. With the à la carte menu, I spent €64 for lunch, for two first courses, a plate of beans, a side dish, and drinks. What I really couldn't stand was €12 for a handful of canned beans, to which they added two atoms of sausage, but it still tasted like canned beans. The other dishes were nothing special. Prices were way out of line for what was offered and for the location, the level of satisfaction was equivalent to a fine. I hope this encourages us to improve.
