An experience. Culinary and more. A true osteria, where the host and the chef are NOT the same person. Like any great team, the result is achieved together, each doing their part and allowing the other to do the same, with mutual respect and trust. The chef is known through dishes built on excellent ingredients (with an abundance of Slow Food Presidia) and a great attention to translation, reinterpretation, and enjoyment. Because if you don't enjoy yourself, why bother eating out?! The host is incredibly knowledgeable about beers, wines, and cheeses. Don't be afraid to ask for advice and explanations; instead, be willing to take the time to listen, because when passion, expertise, and an innate charm come together, you can't do anything else :)
Finally, the prices are absolutely reasonable. And there's also the possibility of finding solutions that are definitely affordable for everyone... You can't always have two courses with a cheese cart and dessert! Although here it would be worth it...

High-quality products... cooked well and with so much passion.
The fried gnocchi are exquisite...the stracotto and pumpkin-filled tortelli in three variations are also highly recommended...exceptional.
We concluded the dinner with a selection of cheeses and mustards, all accompanied by a wonderful Giuseppe (the manager)...everyone's cousin (when you pay)....good expireance.

First time at this restaurant. Very well-maintained location, beautiful garden (we hope to return in the summer). Quiet and well-decorated atmosphere. Helpful and always present staff. Generous dishes, excellent flavors, and a fair price. We really enjoyed the fried gnocco for appetizer, the pumpkin tortelli with sausage, and the amazing tiramisu for dessert.
Highly recommended! We'll be back. ++++

Dinner with friends.
The place is nice. The menu is delicious, featuring classic Mantuan dishes with interesting twists.
The staff is friendly and helpful. The owner is super helpful.
Overall, we ate quite well, but perhaps the fact that it was a Saturday and the place was full meant we couldn't prepare the dishes as carefully as we wanted.
The gnocco fritto and parmigiana were very good.
The bigoli with sardines were good, but perhaps a little dry (at least for my taste).
The goose breast was good, but overcooked.
The rib-eye steak arrived undercooked due to a misunderstanding with the person taking the order, but it was replaced without a problem.
The desserts were good.
The prices were more than fair.
Maybe try again during the week, as the menu is good.

We always return with great pleasure to Osteria Numero 2. Going to Moreno's is always a bit like coming home.
A welcoming atmosphere, great kindness and helpfulness, and a menu that follows the seasons and uses local products. The quality of the food? Always top-notch, with tasty and interesting options. Going to Osteria Numero 2 is always a guarantee.

I often frequent the Osteria for the wonderful location, the friendliness of the innkeeper Moreno and Marco, for the commitment and dedication with which they carry out projects and ideas, including those for social and local promotion... but above all for the dishes :) excellent quality and original preparations that recall tradition.

We stopped for lunch on our way back from the mountains. The staff were very kind and welcoming; they even gave us a high chair and a book to keep our baby entertained. The food was really good, and the tortelli were excellent! The bathroom had a changing table. Highly recommended.
