21/04/2025: For a quiet evening in a village pub. Excellent menu selection, there's something for everyone. From pizza to burgers, to vegetarian options. Good selection of beers and moderate prices. The guys who run and work at this pub are very kind and helpful. I recommend this pub ;)

23/02/2025: A very nice place, in the town center, although not very visible (perhaps a sign or a blackboard outside to identify it would be better, in my opinion). The interior is spacious, like a classic beer hall, welcoming, like the people who run it. They offer pizza, sandwiches, and a few other dishes. My sandwich was excellent, as was the pizza, light and well-topped.

05/09/2025: This little place was recommended by friends, one of those places that feels old-fashioned and makes you feel right at home. Excellent food, super-fair prices, but what really makes the difference is the staff. The two ladies in the dining room are very kind, smiling, and welcoming. The meatballs are delicious!! I'll definitely be back soon.

07/12/2025: I called on Sunday to reserve a table, but this service isn't available on weekends. Once we arrived at the restaurant, we had to wait half an hour before the staff told us we had to sign up on a piece of paper to wait our turn at the table. Once seated, we ordered two portions of tigelle and a pizza, but unfortunately, by 8:30 PM, they had already run out of tigelle, so we were forced to order pizza.

09/12/2025: A very elegant location. We've been to this beautiful pizzeria several times. The pizzas are true masterpieces, meticulously crafted, from preparation to perfection. The various doughs are excellent, light, especially when combined with the diverse and excellent ingredients—a perfect combination. The staff is very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable, ready to accommodate any customer needs. A great place to eat without leaving the center of Mantua. Highly recommended.

13/09/2025: This evening I returned to Café Matisse for dinner, having not been there in a while and still craving it. The restaurant is located in Viadana, in the province of Mantua (Lombardy). As usual, I was pleasantly surprised by the friendliness and kindness of the staff: qualities that are now rare in restaurants, almost as if they were forgotten virtues. At Café Matisse, however, the art of hospitality is still carefully cultivated. The ambiance deserves special mention, distinguished by a style that is both formal and innovative, accompanied by pleasant background music that contributes to the harmonious and relaxing atmosphere. Moving on to the dishes: For my appetizer, I enjoyed a potato and spinach tart with Parmigiano Reggiano cream. A combination that, while it may seem predictable, proved to be balanced and completely successful. A small tip: the sage leaf used as a garnish would not be out of place if also inserted into the cream, as an additional aromatic note. I then moved on to a Chianina beef burger, served with fresh vegetables and baked potatoes. The meat revealed a flavor both bold and refined; I opted for medium-rare, executed with mastery. The meat was rested properly, preventing any juices from escaping—an unmissable technical detail that deserves praise from the kitchen team. Finally, for dessert, I chose a creamy mascarpone with saffron and hazelnut crumble. I must admit, I would have expected a more punchy finish. The combination of saffron and hazelnuts was interesting, although the hazelnuts were overpoweringly overpowered by the saffron. The cream, while full-bodied, soft, and silky on the palate, lacked the depth of flavor that would have made the dessert truly memorable. In conclusion, Café Matisse confirms itself as a place worth experiencing, not only for the quality of its dishes, but also for its refined atmosphere and the selection of drinks that complement and enrich the dining experience. An ideal stop for those seeking an evening of taste and pleasant conviviality. A sincere and heartfelt compliment goes to all the staff at Café Matisse: from the kitchen to the dining room, each one contributes with professionalism, elegance, and grace to making this venue a benchmark in Mantua's dining scene.

19/10/2025: A beautiful setting for fans of Dukes of Hazzard, Bud and Terence, and American cars. The people were very friendly, helpful, and helpful. They even took us for a ride in the legendary General Lee 😍

21/09/2025: The owner is truly friendly and helpful. Excellent beer and craft grappa. The sbrisolona cake is also good. We finished the evening with a ride on the beautiful General Lee, completely restored to its original state. Compliments also go to his 17-year-old son, who has a truly top-notch knowledge of American car history.

11/12/2025: Exceptional food. Everything we ate was superb. The meat was perfectly cooked, and there was a huge selection of different types and specialties. Service was a bit slow, but the place was completely packed, so it was reasonable. Prices were slightly higher than average, but consistent with the quality of the products. For a great meal of meat or local produce, you can't go wrong.

08/12/2025: I went to this trattoria for lunch today and was truly satisfied. The place is easy to get to, with ample parking, and as soon as you enter, you're greeted with a rustic, family atmosphere that immediately puts you at ease. It's a comfortable, no-frills place, with a welcome that makes you feel "at home." The staff is cheerful, friendly, and attentive, always smiling. The mixed cold cuts appetizer was excellent: fresh, plentiful, and of high quality. The meat was also very good: I tried the Florentine rib-eye steak, served rare as per tradition. They don't ask for the doneness, and for my taste, it was a little too raw, but the quality was so high that it was still delicious. The side dishes were simple but well-made, flavorful, and perfect for accompanying the meat. To round out the meal, a homemade cake baked that morning: authentic, soft, and truly excellent. An authentic trattoria, where you eat well and feel welcomed. I'll gladly return!

08/12/2025: We met there for dinner, ordered a fish-based first course, a mixed fried pasta, and a pizza. The first course was Mediterranean paccheri, excellent. The fried fish was plentiful. The pizza, the Sicilian one with and without mozzarella, was enjoyed by everyone, light and tasty. An experience to repeat. The staff was very kind. And kudos to the chefs, Nicola and Tony. I absolutely forgot to try the Belgian pudding. Divine.

16/12/2025: Nothing to complain about: for a neighborhood bar, it offers a wide selection of both sweet and savory treats, all of which are of course top quality. Excellent service; Robert always takes the time to pay attention to the customer, even when the bar is busy. He's truly talented! A bar worth stopping by for breakfast, a work break, an aperitif, or even lunch! Highly recommended.

14/12/2025: Sandwich with very poor-quality raw ham. Furthermore, I wanted to point out that it is strictly forbidden to allow "Rocky" the dog into the food handling and processing facility.
