Lunch on Sunday, March 22nd. We chose this restaurant based on largely positive reviews. The atmosphere is homey and unobtrusive, thanks to the friendliness of the family who owns and runs the place. The food is exceptionally good, with a wide variety of local recipes, both for starters and main courses. This is a popular place with regulars, including those from the city. Prices are fair. Friendly service makes for a relaxing stay, combined with the quality and quantity of the food. Highly recommended.

Everything was perfect, the pike in sauce was superb, but the desserts were disappointing, especially the sbrisolona, ​​which tasted like shortcrust pastry without butter and almonds.

We had lunch at TRATTORIA AL CACCIATORE in GRAZIE DI CURTATONE (Mantua), and I must say it was a pleasant and super affordable experience. We chose the set menu: one for €14 for the basic version and one for €17 with dessert, an unbeatable value for the area (the total bill for two was €31, according to the receipt). The atmosphere is classic, like a family-run village trattoria: simple, welcoming, with friendly owners and a genuine atmosphere of traditional Mantuan cuisine. The dishes we tried were all delicious and carefully prepared: - Risotto with sausage, with plenty of grated cheese on top - Baked white lasagna, beautifully gratinéed and chewy - Stewed pike, with oil, lemon, garlic, and parsley – fresh and light - Slow-cooked pork ribs with herbs and a flavorful sauce, tender and juicy - Roast potatoes, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, well-seasoned with herbs - Sautéed spinach, lush green and flavorful, perfect with a generous sprinkling of parmesan To finish, a mouth-watering sweet bignolata (bignolata) and a coffee. Everything was excellent, home-made flavors and quality ingredients, just the traditional Mantuan cuisine you'd expect: no frills, but plenty of genuine flavor. A place for a genuine, affordable, and hearty lunch near Mantua (perhaps after a stroll to the Santuario delle Grazie or along the lake).

It was a real pleasure staying at this hotel and restaurant. The staff are kind, polite, and, yes, happy. They always have a smile to offer. Excellent food, a good location, and good room service. Thank you all.
