29/10/2025: I'm someone who travels a lot for work, and I highly recommend this one. The rooms are standard but have comfortable beds (for me, with back problems, it's always a win-win), clean, and have everything you need. The restaurant is truly top-notch, but most importantly, the family management makes you feel right at home. I'll always stay here if I'm in the area for work. It's truly a great place!
18/10/2025: Comfortable and welcoming place, with a bar, tobacconist, lottery, restaurant, and exceptional ice cream shop.

29/10/2025: I had lunch alone, but I have to say everything was perfect. From the moment you walk in, you're immediately greeted and shown to your table. The first and second courses were both well-portioned and tasty. Compliments also go to the wait staff, who are always attentive to their customers.
It's now saved in Google; if I'm in the area again, I'll definitely be back to try other dishes.
27/10/2025: The dish of the day was good, the waitress was a bit sour, too many flies, and there are no fly-repellent devices installed, we are in 2025 it's absurd, because of the sour waitress I asked for a replacement bread because some flies had settled on it and in an annoyed manner she took the bread back bringing more but with inside what I had asked to be changed.

15/12/2025: Despite the restaurant claiming to be open on Monday lunchtime, it was closed without any explanation.
10/12/2025: We stopped by for dinner at a tavern but found something completely different, starting with the cold cuts being sliced directly at the counter, without the staff using proper hygiene tools like gloves and tongs.
A plate of pasta at a tavern can't be a gourmet portion, and above all, the place isn't very well-kept, with dust all over the otherwise very cute ornaments.
Pets are allowed, but the staff should be very careful when petting them and serve the dishes immediately.
Furthermore, the menu must include the prices of ALL the products the customer consumes. (For example, there are no prices for drinks like house wine and water, or for items not on the menu.)

06/10/2025: I've had the pleasure of eating and drinking at this restaurant for four years running. Claudio and his wife Elena love their work so much that you can taste it in every single course and every sip of wine. Fabulous ingredients, a unique wine cellar, incredible hospitality... I don't think I'm exaggerating when I say that Hostaria del Teatro is one of the best restaurants I've ever eaten at in my life! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

The atmosphere was too noisy, the food was of questionable quality, and the prices were too high.
The service was friendly and attentive.
02/11/2025: Very nice place, very well cared for in the dishes offered which are those of the Mantuan tradition, good ravioli with pumpkin, amazing cotechino with polenta, a real gem of the area... it melted in the mouth!

19/10/2025: EXCELLENT, but really excellent quality/price ratio… considering that it is located in the center of Aosta… from the outside it looks like a small restaurant… inside, the place is decidedly spacious with at least two floors… truly exquisite food with typical Aosta Valley cuisine… friendly but very precise and fast staff (there were 34 of us)… DEFINITELY worth trying

28/08/2025: Perfect for lunch! Excellent quality ingredients, the fried gnocco was soft and not at all greasy, the cured meats excellent. The two first courses were both delicious and the portions generous. The staff was very kind. I recommend expanding the dessert selection with some homemade cakes because I'm sure they have some great family recipes ;)
