27/08/2025: The food was good. The portions were excellent. The service left much to be desired. There were no people there, so we had to wait about ten minutes for a glass of water. The girl who served us wasn't very friendly, not even a smile. It felt like we were being served by a robot. Paying six euros for service seems excessive.

24/08/2025: I've been to this restaurant four times, and I've been very satisfied each time. I've had the agnoli in brodo, and the gnocco and tigelle. I try gnocco and tigelle at many places, and I have to say they're among the first on my list. Everything was excellent, even the service. Thanks, I'll be back 👍👍👍👍

03/08/2025: Do you like craft beer? No? Well, you'll definitely like it there. Among the beers, IPAs, APAs, and all the others, you'll have a choice of the best and sometimes unique (depending on the season) craft beers you can find. Not to mention the cuisine: rustic yet delicious, with monthly specials that are always top-notch and never predictable. Anyone who wants to try a brewery and worthy cuisine should try Cesco in Castel d'Ario... and don't forget the fried sage.

27/05/2025: I went there on purpose to Francesco, I found a nice place very clean and well-kept, we tasted the hamburgers, the fried sage and the ribs, and of course the craft beer, all very good. I will definitely return, maybe on a Friday so I can listen to some good music.

09/06/2025: We dropped by to grab lunch on a Sunday. We were welcomed by the family owners. It is so nice to meet owner/operators that are passionate about offering high-quality locally sourced product. We had good conversation and excellent food that exceeded our expectations Thank you! We will definitely return!

01/07/2025: Very welcoming and quiet place where you can have a good quick dish or have an excellent breakfast. Perfect for aperitifs with friends. The staff and owners are really very kind, smiling and friendly.

02/06/2025: Helpful and reliable. I ordered a chocolate tart for a dear friend's bachelor party and it turned out special! We asked for a tart (a simple dessert that could handle a car trip) and it was a turning point! I received a lot of compliments. Kind as always, it remains my favorite pastry shop in Mantua.

03/06/2025: Il Modì è vicino al castello di San Giorgio, comodo, informale e il personale è molto gentile. Si può mangiare sia dentro chefuori, nella veranda posta sul marciapiede. A pranzo propongono un menù fisso a 13/15 euro che coprende un piatto a scelta (primo, secondo o insalatona) acqua, caffè e dolcetto. La qualita dei piatti è molto buona. Consiglio vivamente questo locale.

02/05/2025: Mi sono recata ieri 1/5 in questo bar per prendere un aperitivo. Attendevo un amico nel frattempo ho preso una bottiglietta di acqua. Poi siccome lui tardava ad arrivare ho ordinato uno Spritz . Dopo 5 minuti esce il titolare con lo Spritz e mi dice : son € 7. Io gli dico ma non posso pagare dopo poichè il mio amico mi avrebbe offerto l'aperitivo. Lui risponde che appena le bevande vengono servite al tavolo bisogna pagare. Io gli dico che ho con me solo la carta di credito e lui mi dice ok paghi con quella. Io gli dico di riportare indietro l'ordinazione e di farla uscire 5 minuti dopo. Lui dice che non può e mi chiede di pagare almeno l'acqua 8 € 2 per 1/2 litro). Io pago con la carta e mi ritrovo l'addebito del totale di € 7. Maleducazione totale mancanza di adeguarsi alle richieste dei clienti totale mancanza di gentilezza. Lo sconsiglio vivamente da evitare assolutamente anche perchè negli altri bar che frequento anche in centro storico come questo ho sempre pagato dopo . Inoltre € 50 centesimi per il servizio al tavolo cosa che non mi è mai successa. Non andateci , a Mantova ci sono molti bar alternativi a questo. Anonimo

26/08/2025: Nino is always Nino The dishes are the same old ones, with little variety but reasonably well-made. There's no printed menu; Nino himself mostly decides. The atmosphere is old-fashioned, like a typical tavern, but authentic. The host can sometimes be a bit pushy, but he's friendly. Recommended? I'd say yes if you're looking for a casual meal; otherwise, avoid. A good grilled fish.

07/09/2025: I was at the bar next to the restaurant on a Saturday night, the Saturday of the literature festival, which was packed with people in the center of Mantua. We sat down at 11pm, a nice location, and ordered cocktails... watered down, embarrassing to say the least... but the thing that bothered me most was that even before 11:30pm (remember, we're talking about a summer Saturday night in the center of Mantua, and all the bars were packed with people) the waiters, while our glasses were still half full, started taking the napkins off ours and all the tables, they took away the light that was illuminating the table, they took away the cushions, making it seem inelegant that they were closing... 11:30pm on a Saturday night! !? It's not my habit to leave negative reviews, but this time I just couldn't help it.

17/07/2025: A beer garden with a restaurant located near the stadium in Mantua. The space isn't very large and has fixed tables, but it's nice to come with friends when there are cover bands. The dishes are tasty and the portions are generous. A good selection of draft beers from a well-known South Tyrolean brand. For football fans, they show matches on a big screen. Also open during lunch breaks with a fixed-price business menu. Parking is available along the street.

01/06/2025: Reservation made by phone, but disappointing service. We booked by phone and arrived on time at the restaurant, but were told that the kitchen was already closed. No one tried to solve the problem, even though it was their own fault. We were forced to leave without eating, after having gone there specifically to have dinner. A decidedly negative experience.
