03/06/2025: Non conoscevo questo bellissimo posto....Situato sulle alture alle spalle di Recco, conosciuto per una cena di famiglia, porzioni abbondantissime, ottima qualità, buona lista vini, prezzi economici in rapporto alla qualità di tutto. Personale gentile e simpatico.

29/04/2025: Some time ago, my ex, who was from Perugia, and I... We took take-away pizza from them more than once. I have eaten pizzas everywhere and my girlfriend is also from Umbria. We both thought it was the best pizza we had ever eaten. Now I don't know how it is, I'll try it again.

08/05/2025: Siamo entrati in questa piccola e bella pasticceria per comprare qualche dolce tipico ligure prima di ripartire. Devo dire che hanno molte specialità, ma la gentilissia signora che ci ha servito ha consigliato i "canestrelli", veramente divini! Le confezioni mantengono la freschezza dei prodotti e sono belle anche da regalare.

01/03/2025: This is a typical local pizza restaurant. As expected from Genoa, the basil pesto was really delicious, and surprisingly, the pasta was just as good as the pizza. The pizza may be a little salty, but you can enjoy it with a drink.

10/06/2025: Compared to 10-15 years ago....incomparable. Raw focaccias...and without cheese. Absolutely to be avoided. Never again

20/06/2025: If you want to be served with monstrous delay, with false smiles from those who will provide you with inedible and inedible food for humans, this is the place for you. Extreme stomach ache after eating what looked like "pancakes" to the human eye. There are some that are worth saving, but the service and the cost of what you eat is beyond all logic. Get something from the first supermarket you find and you will eat immensely better. Avoid like the plague.

20/06/2025: Disgraceful service! They have these huge “happy hour” signs, we arrived at 5:50 pm. However we were told that “today is no happy hour” even though the huge signs were out. Fraude! Don’t go!

26/06/2025: Pleasant terrace along a lively street, not far from the cathedral. Pasta, Pinsa, Pizza, ... more than enough choice. Excellent tables and chairs.

13/06/2025: Our first night dining out in Italy and I get scrambled egg carbonara?? Aren’t Italians known for their pasta - If you’re in Italy and someone serves you scrambled-egg carbonara… they’re either not Roman, or they’re cooking for tourists 🤌 We waited quite a while for service and eventually I asked if we had to come inside to order to which the waiter apologised 🙏 Luckily my partner had some beautiful pasta e patate which made up for the breakfast pasta I had 🤷‍♂️ 😅 The service was pretty average if your Italian is also, a little average… the older gentleman certainly seemed amused that I’d given it a try but I would hold your breath on kindness and you’ll need some patience to be served 👋

02/04/2025: Passando per via Balbi in pieno centro storico a Genova vicino alle varie università sono entrato in questo bar caffetteria della nota catena di cucina tipica genovese di bars e caffetteria ben presente in città ed ho preso al banco un ottimo e squisito caffè con un bicchierino di acqua gasata. Il bar è piccolino con tanti tavolini interni nelle varie sale interne ed è frequentato sopratutto da giovani universitari ed è possibile fare colazione ed anche pranzare. Come sempre nei vari locali di Mentelocale il punto di forza è rappresentato da tutto il personale veramente adorabile accogliente sorridente competente gentile cordiale e disponibile. Mon hanno servizio al tavolo credo lo fanno solo a pranzo e quindi bisogna prima pagare e poi andare al banco e fare l’ordinazione. Tornerò un’altra volta per andare a pranzo. Infine i prezzi sono veramente buoni. Passing through via Balbi in the historic center of Genoa near the various universities I entered this bar and cafe of the well-known chain of typical Genoese cuisine of bars and cafes well present in the city and I took an excellent and delicious coffee at the counter with a glass of sparkling water. The bar is small with many internal tables in the various internal rooms and is frequented mainly by young university students and it is possible to have breakfast and also lunch. As always in the various Mentelocale locations the strong point is represented by all the truly adorable, welcoming, smiling, competent, kind, friendly and helpful staff. As always they do not have table service maybe only at lunch and therefore you have to pay first and then go to the counter and place your order. I will return another time for lunch. Finally the prices are really good.

16/03/2025: Nothing special, poor breakfasts, mediocre pastries, chocolate that doesn't taste like chocolate. I won't be back.

08/03/2025: Breakfast early on Saturday morning, friendly staff, fast service. Lactose-free cappuccino (I can never find it in Genoa) and the croissants are delicious as always. Advised!

07/06/2025: Capitati per caso... Aperitivo abbondante, con prodotti ottimi. Noi siamo di Milano e Aperitivi così pochi..... Consigliatissimo!
