27/03/2026: Between Turchino and Masone, unfortunately next to the highway and the church of the same name, is this restaurant with a large parking lot. The interior is dated and unpretentious. The food is good, with a generous first course and a delicious cake. Price including water and wine is €15 + €3 (discounted) for dessert.

19/10/2025: We have always had a good experience in the past, however today, in addition to offering us a limited menu....., the side dish of fried potatoes they said was not available (even if it was served later at other tables) in their place they only had baked potatoes available that were not of the day..... 06/04/2026: Wrong day of reservation. Remedied with outdoor seating, prepared on the spot. Poor quality food, e.g.: it was supposed to be spaghetti with courgettes and prawns, but spaghetti with green beans and semi-raw scampi arrived. Second course: lamb and chips. The lamb on the bone (not enough for four adults) was filled with chicken (let me know? Another type of dish?), only sparkling white wine in bulk or bottled Prosecco sparkling wine, sparkling red in bulk or bottled Barbera Oltrepo Pavese. Dessert: Colomba cake in pieces (stracciata type) with cream and strawberries. All for €45 per person for 4 adults. Two dishes of pasta with pesto for children €12 each, with the addition of a €2 cover charge each. Total €208, discounted €200. Poor service, with no explanation or apology for the change or lack of food. The outdoor tables and chairs were dirty and baked by the sun, so much so that one chair collapsed, causing someone to fall, fortunately without injury. Improvisation and amateurism.

30/04/2026: The restaurant has remained unchanged since the 1980s or so, details a little shabby, but Anna's service is attentive and friendly. The appetizer with shrimp, scampi, and mollusks was good; the tagliolini with truffle and scampi weren't great... very heavy on truffle sauce and three scampi, two of which were heads. The raspberry cake was good, and since it was my birthday, Anna found me a pink candle.

13/04/2026: Orderd a Margerita which was displayed on the wall with a picture which looked nice. Received nothing like it. No basil and really disgusting. Never order pizza from this place!!!

11/10/2025: I was out walking the dogs at Gaiazza and it was getting late, I called and asked if we could eat something... Despite the time and the 4 dogs they told me to go anyway... They were very kind and helpful.. and I ate a delicious plate of trofie with pesto!!!

17/04/2026: I visited Dolce Cabana in Portofino with very high expectations, considering the setting and location. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing in several respects. The terrace, which should be the highlight, is not particularly well-maintained and doesn't convey the special atmosphere one would expect in a place like Portofino. Overall, it feels rather bland and under-appreciated. The service also leaves much to be desired: the staff is present, but they give the impression of being there just to do their job, with no attention or involvement with the customer. It completely lacks that welcoming touch that would make all the difference. Finally, a major negative note concerns the bathroom, which was truly disappointing and not up to par with the setting. In a place like this, certain details should be given much more attention. Overall, an experience that didn't meet the expectations associated with a destination like Portofino.

28/03/2026: A welcoming, family-friendly place, with kind and helpful staff. The grill is a 10/10, with an excellent variety of meats, cooked to perfection. They also have a wide selection of beers. It was recommended, and I can say the beer was very good. We'll definitely be back, and I highly recommend it. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

11/10/2025: Excellent quality pizza with authentic and flavorful ingredients. Thin and crispy dough, very digestible. We had the prosciutto and mushrooms with stracchino and the bombarda (mortadella and pistachio). Both were delicious. Honestly priced. Rating: 9/10

16/04/2026: I read some reviews that really surprised me. I've known that place since my aunt was there, that is, 70 years ago. Anja is a delightful person. Pleasant, fast, kind, and polite. Seeing her being rude struck me as heretical. The other thing that really made me laugh was hearing people say that Genoese cuisine on Via di Ravecca, at Sciamadda, is betrayed and not made with respect for tradition. I fear she has a very vague understanding of our/my cuisine. I, a true Genoese, with Genoese great-grandparents, categorically disagree. I've tried the restaurants in San Giorgio and Canneto. I can say that the best onion, leek, and chard tart is right here. Highly recommended. For everything. A close-knit and extremely professional couple. The hours are a bit unstable, but in such a chaotic world, do we want to be bothered by a few small delays?

27/12/2025: Really great pizza, thin crust, crunchy and flavorful. The service is fine, the place was kind of empty so they could attend me great. I ordered a “Tricolore” which was incredible to try and get tall the flavors together. I would recommend this place.

22/12/2025: Extremely poor attitude from the owner. She was visibly annoyed and made rude comments because two of us shared a pizza and some didn't order alcohol. The service felt very unwelcoming. The pizza itself is nothing special—the dough is dry and hasn't risen properly, so we ended up leaving the crusts. I’d recommend going elsewhere for better food and a friendlier atmosphere.
