21/03/2025: I was returning from Arona, where I'd been for a burraco tournament, and I stopped in Santhia. I was completely surprised to see the historic Carnival parade, which was absolutely beautiful. I highly recommend seeing it; it's every bit as beautiful as the more famous one in Viareggio. Thousands of participants, spectacular, enormous floats. I stopped at the Giardini bar for just a sandwich and found myself right in the middle of the parade. I've attached a photo to give you an idea of ​​the atmosphere and the floats.

13/08/2025: We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance, a group of eight of us. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and very accommodating to all our requests. The portions were generous and the food was excellent. I recommend it!

04/07/2025: A place for quick and cheap meals at a fixed price. 13 euros including first and second course with wine, beer and coffee are not included. Good food and attentive and fast service. Ambience to improve but in line with the identity of the place. Few outside seats but many inside even in an air-conditioned environment. I recommend it!

19/06/2025: A different evening, we wanted a place outside the big city hubbub, an ideal location for a quiet evening. It had been many years since I returned here near the church of the apparition. Sea view, from above because it enjoys a beautiful panorama, abundant dishes, in particular the kindness of the young girl who served us, she was concerned about us, and of the chef who honored us with an excellent dish, a sort of Arab bread, served like a calzone with oil and very tasty oregano. We chose tagliatelle with ragù and penne with sauce, while the tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms were a little strong in flavor but good. Overall it was a pleasant evening. We will definitely return.

31/08/2025: Dinner with friends, we ordered a pizza round based on the pizza chef's imagination, terrible pizza. They brought unlikely pizzas... all adult pizzas with chips and onions, no mozzarella, but it tasted like stracciatella burrata... heavy to obviously make the pizza round go down as quickly as possible. The dough was difficult to digest. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE, I will definitely not go back!

11/09/2025: I absolutely don't understand the bad reviews. For the price you pay here, you get a very good deal. I was impressed by the selection. Sure, it's not gourmet quality, but it's perfectly adequate for the average tourist. The staff is also very friendly and attentive.

27/09/2025: A quaint and welcoming restaurant with a very family-friendly atmosphere, thanks to the owners, Mrs. Pina and her son, and the other staff, including the excellent pizza chef, Faisel. Yesterday we had a seafood dinner with spaghetti allo scoglio and mixed fried fish with a side of salad and tomatoes; everything was excellent. Tonight we had pizza, especially the amazing Portofino pizza...highly recommended. Excellent value for money. La Stiva deserves 5 stars. Well done!

26/09/2025: Ostaja San Vincenzo in Genoa. Upon entering, you might think it's a small gathering place for a few people, and sometimes, seeing all the seats taken might tempt interested visitors to move on. Instead, we asked if there was room and discovered that, in the back, there's a lovely space with room for at least 30 people. The dishes are prepared with a homely flair, and the result is truly appetizing. I especially loved the Trenette al Pesto. A warm, simple place to relax and eat well. A lovely discovery in Genoa, which I've never visited enough in recent years. Friendly staff and affordable prices. Four stars, fully deserved. And so I'm back on the road, always in search of the culinary excellence of our beautiful country. See you soon, my dear readers.

11/09/2025: 🌟 Excellent lunch in the heart of Chiavari! We stopped at Piccolo Bar - Mazzini under the arcades, attracted by the central location and outdoor seating. Friendly and fast service, generous and tasty portions: veal with tuna sauce, Nicoise salad, and Vermentino 🍷. The waitress even took a picture of us with a smile 😊. Fair prices and an authentic atmosphere. Highly recommended! 💯

Beautiful compositions and excellent quality. The owner, Mrs. Cinzia, and all the staff are very kind and available to meet every customer need.

21/09/2025: We chose this place to celebrate a birthday, but the experience was unfortunately marred by several negative aspects. The service proved to be the most critical point: slow, inattentive, and unprofessional. The waitress was unable to provide clarification on the dishes and showed clear impatience with our hesitation. The food, on the other hand, was decent. Although the truffle pasta lacked salt and the truffle flavor was weak, we enjoyed other dishes, such as the fried mushrooms, which were a hit with the diners. However, the portions of the ravioli with meat sauce seemed small for the price. The final surprise came with the bill. We had brought a cake for the celebration and, without any warning, we were charged €16.50 for the service charge. Our criticism isn't about the cost itself, but rather the complete lack of transparency. In summary: average dishes with prices slightly higher than expected, but the service definitely needs revising.

21/09/2025: All the dishes were really good, the tagliolini with mushrooms and the fried mushrooms were excellent, the portions were adequate, the service was quick and attentive. The only flaw was perhaps the bill: for an osteria, the prices were a bit high, and €3 per person for the cover charge was a bit much for Pedemonte. The quality of the ingredients was really good.
