20/08/2025: On Ferragosto (August 15th) we went to this restaurant for lunch with our friends. It wasn't the first time, but it was one of many. I finally got around to writing this review. Anyone looking for authentic, traditional, and authentic cuisine can't go wrong here. EVERYTHING was excellent, from the appetizers to the desserts. The staff and owner were extremely friendly. Highly recommended.

28/06/2025: As for the cuisine, I found good products. On the contrary, the table service was terrible. It almost seemed like we were bothering the waiter, but rest assured, we won't be back.

22/08/2025: This is the only genuine Indian Punjabi restaurant in town that serves delicious curries and tandoori Rotis. Wonderful host & the kind young lady who served us was so caring.

04/09/2025: Easily accessible by car, as there are two large free parking areas 100 meters away; plenty of tables both inside and out (the outdoor tables are right off the main road in San Salvatore, so the location is what it is). Quick and friendly service, pizzas arrived promptly, but unfortunately, they were very disappointing: all with a burnt edge, medium-low quality ingredients, crust not crispy and hard to digest (thirsty all night); draft beer was rather poor. Average price, especially given the location. Personally, I wouldn't return.

16/08/2025: Everything was excellent, from the quality to the portions, fair prices and good service. Unfortunately I only gave it four stars because inside (at least in summer) it's really too hot to the point of feeling uncomfortable and hoping to leave as soon as possible. Fix this and the five stars are yours by right.

16/08/2025: We called in the afternoon to see if we could reserve a table for the evening, and were told the first available table was at 10:00 PM. We showed up at 9:30 PM, more worried about finding a parking spot than anything else. Once we approached the restaurant, we were "seated" by a young waiter who didn't seem particularly convinced. Free outdoor tables? Two. Indoors? At least four. We ordered seafood pasta, two trofie with squid, and a shrimp pasta. The waitress was quite dismissive when we asked for the pasta without parsley, explaining that it was because someone at the table was pregnant. We told the waitress that we'd order the main courses later since someone was unavailable at the time, and she responded with an "OK." The dishes arrived after almost half an hour, and we finished our first course. Meanwhile, we watched as the waitress seated three more people, saying that the kitchen was closed and they could only eat pizza, and that was a rush. Grumbling and groaning about it, she hears us say that at least she could have said, "The kitchen is about to close, if you want to order second courses." She comes back to tell us, and we order three fried squid and a plate of seafood mussels. She goes to ask in the kitchen, and I tell her everything's already closed. When I tell her that wasn't okay, she replies that it's normal for the kitchen to close at this hour, and that if we'd told her when we made the reservation that we wanted to eat there, she would have informed us it would close in half an hour. So, even though we arrived half an hour early, we couldn't finish our meal. We've been going to "dalla Mariuccia," as they say, for over twenty years. There have been ups and downs, depending on the season, depending on the time of year. The prices have gone up a bit, like everywhere else, but it was fine, as long as we were treated well, as long as we respected our customers. The waiter put the plates under the faces of two people simply by saying "pasta?" As if we hadn't ordered four, expecting us to distinguish the dishes for him. Between one story and another, we spent 84 euros for four people, including four first courses, two liters of water, and one liter of wine. We've celebrated everything at this restaurant, but this latest experience doesn't make us want to return—quite the opposite.

05/06/2025: Il locale è molto semplice, con tavoli di legno e il menu scritto con gessetti sulle lavagne. Essenziale ma valido il servizio, lievemente lunga l'attesa dopo l'ordine. Ottima qualità e cura dei piatti, in particolare di quelli di pesce (spaghetti acciughe e aglio nero, taglierini neri, acciughe al verde, fritto misto). Buoni e fragranti i dolci, discreto il vino sfuso. Prezzi non economici, ma sapori intensi che restano nella memoria. L'unico punto dolente è il parcheggio: è quasi sempre necessario lasciare l'auto dalla parte opposta della strada, e poiché il locale si trova in curva sulla Statale 45 bisogna stare molto attenti nell'attraversamento.

30/05/2025: A memorable moment!! My family and I were incredibly well received by the lovely couple who own Trattoria Baciccia. In a family-friendly setting, rich in history and emotion, we enjoyed their famous menu (starter, main course, dessert): remarkable for its flavors and originality, all for only €13. I highly recommend trying the minestrone (Italian soup): delicious and lovingly prepared! In addition to delighting our taste buds, the restaurant-owning couple warmed our hearts with their kindness and good humor. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

27/08/2025: Angelo's was recommended to me as the best focaccia in Recco, and indeed it is. Recco cheese focaccia is the best I've ever eaten. My family also loved it, and they were amazed by its deliciousness! No, that's not true! It's not expensive at all. In fact, excellent value for money!! We'll be back soon!

To begin, the seafood pasta dish is a true masterpiece. Every bite is a symphony of marine flavors, with perfectly cooked pasta pairing magically with a wealth of ultra-fresh seafood: mussels, clams, scampi, and shrimp blend together in a savory and enveloping sauce. It's a dish that tells the story of the sea, with a generosity and freshness that leave you speechless. Next, the mixed grill was a triumph of flavors and aromas. The fish, carefully selected and expertly grilled, arrived at the table with a perfect crust and tender, juicy flesh. 14/07/2025: Situato in una stradina parallela al budello principale di Cogoleto questo ristorante, dall’esterno, non vi colpirà particolarmente con insegne luminescenti o cartelli pubblicitari ma, appena entrati, vi sentirete un po’ come a casa vostra. Non posso non partire dalla signora Ada, la vera storia di questo locale. Ci accoglie come fossimo degli abituè, amici di famiglia, vicini di casa. Ed è proprio così che ci si sente dopo qualche minuto passato insieme. La spiegazione dettagliata del menù non è la solita tiritera di piatti, ingredienti o elenco di materie prime … ogni piatto ci viene descritto insieme alla sua storia, i suoi aneddoti, la ricetta, il modo di come la signora Ada (o semplicemente Ada come lei vuole essere chiamata) lo cucina a casa sua. Questa accoglienza, così diversa da qualsiasi posto che ho frequentato in tutti questi anni, mi ha fatto innamorare di questo posto prima ancora di assaggiare una qualsiasi pietanza e ho già, sorprendentemente, l’acquolina in bocca. Siamo in quattro e ognuno di noi prende uno starter diverso. Il guazzetto di muscoli (cozze per i non Liguri), il Cenonno composto da una serie di piattini con assaggi mare e monti, caldi o freddi, polpo e patate, mentre io scelgo il piatto che avevo già visto sul loro sito web: code di gamberi avvolti nel lardo d’Arnad con stracciatella di burrata, semplicemente spaziali, cotti alla perfezione, con materie prime di altissima qualità, sono entrati di prepotenza nella mia personalissima top 10 di piatti più buoni mangiati nella mia vita ! Qui Ada, ci grazia della ricetta “casalinga” di questo piatto, semplicissima, rapidissima ma con ingredienti che devono essere necessariamente di ottima qualità ! Proseguiamo questa esperienza culinaria eccezionale, con i ravioli di burrata con pomodorini, basilico e acciughe di Cetara, delicatissimi, preparati alla perfezione e cotti al dente come piacciono a me. Finiamo con la “Tavolozza di dolci” tutti provenienti dalla Campania e Sicilia, uno più buono dell’altro. Io però ho scelto la delizia al limone tutta per me e ho fatto bene in quanto era veramente troppo golosa per condividerla con qualcuno. Di una cosa sono convinto adesso, il ristorante Nonno Cuoco è sicuramente la mia prima scelta a Cogoleto.

13/07/2025: Located on a narrow street parallel to the main street of Cogoleto, this restaurant may not particularly impress you from the outside with its neon signs or advertising, but as soon as you enter, you'll feel a little at home. I can't help but start with Signora Ada, the true story of this place. She welcomes us as if we were regulars, family friends, neighbors. And that's exactly how you feel after spending a few minutes together. The detailed explanation of the menu isn't the usual rigmarole of dishes, ingredients, or a list of raw materials... each dish is described to us along with its history, its anecdotes, the recipe, and the way Signora Ada (or simply Ada, as she prefers to be called) cooks it at home. This welcome, so different from any other place I've frequented in all these years, made me fall in love with this place before even tasting a single dish, and my mouth is already, surprisingly, watering. There are four of us, and we each choose a different starter. The mussel stew (mussels for non-Ligurians), the Cenonno, a series of small plates with hot and cold seafood and mountain appetizers, octopus, and potatoes, while I chose the dish I'd already seen on their website: shrimp tails wrapped in Arnad lard with burrata stracciatella. Simply out of this world, cooked to perfection, with the highest-quality ingredients, it's now firmly in my personal top 10 of the best dishes I've ever eaten! Ada, please share the "homemade" recipe for this dish—very simple, very quick, but with ingredients that must be top-quality! We continue this exceptional culinary experience with burrata ravioli with cherry tomatoes, basil, and Cetara anchovies—delicate, perfectly prepared, and cooked al dente, just the way I like them. We finish with the "Palette of Desserts," all sourced from Campania and Sicily, each one better than the last. I, however, chose the lemon delight all for myself, and I was right to do so, as it was truly too delicious to share. One thing I'm now convinced of: Nonno Cuoco is definitely my first choice in Cogoleto.

02/09/2025: It used to be a pleasant place, but unfortunately the prices have gone up, the portions have gotten smaller, and the pizzas are gone. It's a shame, because the staff remains its only real strength.

02/09/2025: I came to eat with my family today. The staff was very friendly, but I was disappointed with the food. The portions were small and the quality was poor. The prices were high for what you get. I wouldn't go back.

30/07/2025: The staff are very attentive and friendly. The small square next to the restaurant is cozy and captures the charm of Genoa's historic center. The interior is very pleasant. The aperitif was excellent. I will definitely be back.
