01/02/2026: When I hear that a restaurant should make us feel at home, I'm always a little perplexed. I've often wondered what a restaurateur really needs to do to achieve this feat. Today I was at this wonderful restaurant for lunch, and without artifice, they gave me the answer. I realized that feeling at home isn't a matter of decor or a constructed atmosphere, but of sincere attention, the natural gestures of food made with love, and noble simplicity. Special mention to Zenamisú, a dessert that transforms a Genoese breakfast into a sublime version of tiramisu. Thank you for this memorable lunch!!!!!!

30/03/2026: A perfect evening: the restaurant immediately conveys a welcoming, refined, yet unpretentious atmosphere. The tables are spaced widely apart, a choice that already demonstrates customer service, allowing for conversation without having to raise your voice or be overwhelmed by others' chatter. The menu is limited because it has to be that way to offer quality, yet the choice is challenging, with both seafood and meat dishes, and the dishes are incredibly original. However, the impression, confirmed by a pleasant chat with Chef Davide (or rather, Davide the chef!), is that there's no quest at all costs, but rather a certain sensitivity and curiosity in the pairings, albeit within very specific guidelines: simplicity and excellent (and seasonal) ingredients. We sampled several courses and all impressed us positively; the chef's touch is evident throughout, a touch that is both youthful and expert. Special mention goes to the fish ravioli with medlar and tamarind, a surprising combination for the palate, perfectly executed. At the end of the meal, we complimented the chef—here we go again, chef—Davide, who came to greet us and spent time with us, sharing his vision of cooking. His palpable passion, combined with his youth, was the icing on the cake. Kudos also to the impeccable yet welcoming dining room service and the very young team that cooks in full view: another aspect that makes us say "we'll be back!" with conviction. Finally, something new and special in the city! Well done, Davide, well done everyone!

06/04/2026: It could have been better… Of all the culinary experiences I've had in my life, I think this one ranks near the bottom of my list. To begin with, the first impression was ruined by the awful smell of fried food as soon as we walked in the door: to be clear, "fried" doesn't mean the smell of fish in a restaurant, but rather the stench of used oil, as if the dining room had been set up directly inside the kitchen! When we politely asked, "Good morning, is there room for three people?", the staff slumped and said, "I don't know...", as if we weren't welcome at all and the restaurant was full. In reality, only a couple's table was occupied, and to top it all, our greeting wasn't returned. Fortunately (or should I say unfortunately), despite countless minutes of silence, they managed to assign us a table, but when we saw the glasses, our eyes widened. Not only had they been poorly dried and therefore full of limescale, they were also completely dirty, almost as if they hadn't been washed. My friends and I even worried about being rude by asking for a change, but the situation was quite unhygienic: so, after asking for a change, they brought us new glasses, which weren't even much better than the others in terms of cleanliness, and what's more, they were wine glasses (when we only had still water to drink). We also had other basic requests, such as at least some cutlery or a pasta dish without pieces of foil inside... but we let it go; it wouldn't have been worth it, especially since the staff from the start was neither welcoming nor particularly helpful. On the other hand, there's nothing negative to say about the food: even if the quality wasn't the best, we managed to eat well. Another plus point of this restaurant is definitely the portions, which are directly proportionate to their price (which may initially seem a bit excessive). We struggled to finish two plates of pasta between three people. To be honest, I wouldn't go back...I just hope they can improve on these "little things" that would really make a difference!

29/03/2026: We returned to this restaurant after celebrating our daughter's wedding there a few years ago. The food was excellent, the location enchanting, and the service attentive. After lunch, we spent the afternoon in the restaurant garden with the children soaking up the sun while enjoying a splendid view.

01/03/2026: A scenic setting on the Arenzano hill with a breathtaking view. Convenient parking. Traditional Ligurian menu that adapts to the seasons with a few small variations. The staff is friendly and attentive. The spacious restaurant is stylishly furnished and well-organized. It's a regular stop every time I pass by.

07/04/2026: While wandering around Genoa, constantly searching for culinary specialties, I came across this charming shop. The window display, in fact, is something that, at first glance, seems like a dream: a single-serving Genoese focaccia filled with pesto, which I later discovered is called PIESTA: AMAZING...I could eat a container of it! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
