This place was recommended by our Airbnb host as a very special place to taste and buy pesto and she was right. We tried the pesto apertivo and it was so good. The staff is very nice and they remembered us when we came back a few days later. The pesto needs to be kept cold so they will package it for you with ice packs if you are travelling. Having their pesto back home brings me back to my fond vacation memories

While wandering around Genoa, constantly searching for culinary specialties, I came across this charming shop. The window display, in fact, is something that, at first glance, seems like a dream: a single-serving Genoese focaccia filled with pesto, which I later discovered is called PIESTA: AMAZING...I could eat a container of it! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

The pesto is delicious; they make it there and prepare a focaccia with it for you to enjoy right there. On the day of the Genoa march, I went back to buy some pesto to take with me. They have special bags and ice packs for traveling, so you can keep it fresh on the road. I highly recommend it.
