From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed into a warm and cozy atmosphere that made us feel right at home. The attention to detail and passion for food and wine were evident in every aspect of our visit. We started with a delightful selection of cheeses and charcuterie, beautifully presented and full of rich, authentic flavors. For the main course, we chose the Beef Tenderloin, which was expertly grilled rare over a wood stove by the mother of the sommelier who runs the place. The meat, sourced from local white cattle in Piemonte, was incredibly tender and had a subtle firewood aroma that added a rustic, smoky depth to each bite. To complement our meal, the sommelier recommended a fantastic local red wine—Cave Gargantua’s 2022 Pierre, made from Pinot Noir grapes grown on the north-facing slopes of the Aosta Valley. It was the perfect pairing, enhancing the flavors of the beef with its elegant structure and refined character. To round off the evening, we enjoyed a smooth and aromatic Grappa alongside a rich, perfectly brewed espresso. It was the ideal way to end a truly exceptional meal. Since the restaurant operates on a reservation-only basis, we made our booking on the same day, which worked out well. In addition to the incredible dining experience, they also offer a few charming hotel rooms, making it a wonderful destination for a full getaway. This place is absolutely worth traveling for—whether for the outstanding food, the carefully curated wines, or the genuine hospitality. We can’t wait to return!

06/05/2025: Le restaurant en lui même est hors du temps, la patronne est très agréable elle parle le français. Les plats sont très bon, ici la cuisine et généreuse et très bonne en goût, la viande très tendre, les desserts sont délicieux. Les prix très correct. Une cuisine maison qui fait du bien. Faites l’expérience vous ne serez pas déçu

30/04/2025: Innanzitutto la proprietaria è una signora molto accogliente, sarà quindi un piacere ordinare con lei : gnocchi con castelmagno ottimi , battuta di carne al coltello altrettanto buona , mousse al caffè con abbondante panna montata casalinga ( un golosissimo dolce ) Ritorneremo , senza ombra di dubbio !

25/05/2025: 1 ora e 10 minuti per servirci 3 piatti di pasta. Il sapore non era male, niente di speciale Essendo in viaggio, la celerità è un requisito importante

11/05/2025: Personale molto cordiale e preparato non abbiamo prenotato e nonostante il locale fosse completo c hanno fatto accomodare in pochissimo tempo.....locale accogliente e molto pulito ...... abbiamo mangiato carne alla griglia eccellente...... ottimo tutto anche aria che si respira......ci siamo sentite considerate e accolte grazie di cuore

22/05/2025: Locale vicino al Mav e al castello, ma il posteggio nel paese è pressoché inesistente, fortunatamente ci hanno permesso di parcheggiare davanti al ristorante... Menù scritto sulla lavagna, servizio ottimo! Tris di trota e tagliere di salumi molto buoni, come anche la zuppa e i dessert. Si mangia alla valdostana e non solo. Buon rapporto qualità/prezzo.

22/04/2025: Locale caldo e accogliente , personale sorridente e qualificato , ogni pietanza ottima , dall’antipasto al dolce . Delizioso il succo di mela , ( no bevande in lattine per scelta 👍🏻) Consigliatissimo!

13/03/2025: We were waiting for the main course for 45 mins and it was not as the menu: a portion of trout with herbs was a lazy filet of fish with a few slices of vegetables. After negation with the manager we were promised a new portion after 15 minutes. Well, after 15 minutes of waiting, we were our way off and the manager was just shouting a “bye-bye” after us. Not a place to recommend! DO NOT GO THERE!

10/02/2025: We stopped by on Monday evening for a pizza. Welcoming staff, comfortable environment and very good pizza. Prices in line with the average. Advised.

06/02/2025: The place has been modernized and very welcoming and warm compared to the previous management. Excellent friendly and helpful service. Even the delicious pizza, you can feel the quality raw materials, as well as the fried fish or chips. Light and crunchy with definitely clean oil given the lightness both on the palate and on digestion... it's not for everyone. The prices...a little pricier than average but the quality is worth paying for. I would perhaps broaden the choice more in the restaurant part which is a little skimpy in terms of the menu. Parking nearby and easily accessible even for disabled people. I will definitely go back

01/06/2025: Ristorante con piatti tipici valdostani. Non abbiamo prenotato, ma ci hanno fatto accomodare in un tavolo adeguato al numero di persone e non striminziti come può capitare da altre parti senza la prenotazione. Da migliorare un po' l'arredo, ma si può provare e riandare.

06/07/2025: My “place” when I go to Courmayeur… Managed by Ermes and his friend the chef and by other people in rotation, all happy and content to be there… therefore, when you are there with them, you can only share the state of grace…

24/07/2025: NOT RECOMMENDED!!!! The staff was arrogant and not at all welcoming and friendly. After booking and paying through Booking.com, I discovered I had to pay a €21 supplement for the dog. Naturally, I asked for information, and the gentleman at reception decided to completely take my room away and leave me stranded at 9:15 PM, in July, with other hotels fully booked. I asked for clarification, and he told me HE had been up since 4 AM and no longer felt like working.

02/07/2025: Average hotel. Good for one night and then go. Small but clean rooms. No A/C (you might say it's not needed here, but in these 30 degree days, definitely). Staff unorthodox but kind in their own way. Breakfast average.

19/07/2025: A scam!! On a weekday they had a menu for local Italians who were coming to eat (tables with parents and children and older people, all Italian) and when we told him we were from another country, the waiter told us that the menu was by reservation, in front of us some Italian women from the area came to eat and for them THERE WAS A MENU for the rest of the diners who came in and for us there wasn’t. They treated us as if we were idiots and didn’t understand, terrible service!! The iceberg salad from the daily menu was terrible, but they made us pay for it from the menu at €13, because of this we left without ordering dessert or coffee, I don’t recommend it to anyone from another country, they only treat Italians well without “scams”.

08/03/2025: The Aosta Valley and their reputation for sustainability... can I have a glass of water with my coffee? Even the tap... NO THE TAP WE CAN'T!!... how? Are we not in the desert or in Marrakech where the groundwater is polluted?? But you can keep the half liter plastic bottle too... and let's hope that pollution, plastic and trucks will submerge your "sustainable" mountains... because with the money you earn from the bottles you can clean them...

25/02/2025: Panino ok ma freddo. Abbiamo chiesto delle salse ma non erano previste. Le abbiamo chieste per le patatine ma non erano disponibili. Mi chiedo , sei così insicuro del tuo prodotto da dover obbligare i clienti a mangiarlo proprio come vuoi tu, senza nemmeno poter aggiungere una salsa?! Se le hai finite ,Dubito che ci torneremo.
