08/09/2025: If we had to sum it up in one word, we'd use "atmospheric"; spacious, clean, and quiet room, friendly and impeccable service, helpful and discreet, quality breakfast and restaurant with unique offerings... During our four-day stay, they made us feel at home and it was an excellent base camp (with parking) for visiting the beautiful Umbrian villages in the surrounding area. Highly recommended.

01/09/2025: After visiting the Stati d'Arte exhibition at Villa Fidelia in Spello, where I'm exhibiting one of my works, we decided to have dinner and went to the "Locanda Giustini" in Santa Maria degli Angeli. The location is beautiful; in the summer you can eat outside, and the food is truly excellent, of excellent quality, cooked to perfection by Giampiero, the chef. Alessandro, on the other hand, is kind and helpful, and captivated us with the presentation of the various courses, rendered like works of art. I'd say it was a truly exquisite evening of tastings. Thanks to both Alessandro and Giampiero, and compliments also to the staff. The original eggplant parmigiana wrapped in crispy filo pastry was excellent. Compliments again to the chef and all the staff.

22/07/2025: Mr. Claudio is a wonderful person, he makes everything very special. His passion for truffles and his dishes, thanks to the help of his chef, are disarming. My boyfriend and I can't help but return to this fantastic place! Thank you again for your kindness and generosity!

31/08/2025: Nice place, outdoor seating with a stunning view. Excellent cuisine, featuring traditional dishes with an innovative twist. Off-menu options are also available. Great prices. The only drawback is the service is a bit slow.

31/08/2025: For anyone passing through Cerreto di Spoleto, "La Cantina" restaurant is a must! I went for lunch today with my family and the experience was excellent in every way: beautiful location (eating outside offers a stunning view), excellent hospitality and service, and fantastic and truly meticulously prepared food! Highly recommended. We'll be happy to return!

12/09/2025: Truffles galore If you're looking for a place to enjoy a delicious truffle feast, this is the place for you. Nice place with young, friendly staff. The beef tartare with black truffle was excellent. The fillet steak was a bit disappointing; in my opinion, the quality of the meat wasn't exceptional. Overall, a decent value.

Obviously recommended for truffle lovers 👌🏻 Very peaceful atmosphere and my boyfriend and I had a very, very pleasant lunch here ☺️ Highly, highly, highly recommended!!!

02/09/2025: We visited Trattoria Margherita during our trip to Umbria and were thrilled! The restaurant is welcoming, rustic, and meticulously maintained, with a warm, family-friendly atmosphere that makes you feel instantly at home. We enjoyed traditional Umbrian dishes, all prepared with fresh, authentic ingredients: from tortelloni with sausage and truffle to pappardelle with wild boar, every course was rich in flavor and perfectly cooked. The homemade desserts were the icing on the cake. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, always attentive and ready to offer the best recommendations. The value for money was also excellent, especially considering the quality and generous portions. A truly authentic place, where the cuisine speaks for itself. We will definitely return and recommend it to anyone looking for a true Umbrian food and wine experience!

30/08/2025: A late August day, rain, and Trattoria Margherita. Jonathan, one of the two partners, undoubtedly knows what he's doing. The location is delightful, rustic yet elegant and well-kept. We skip the appetizer because the truffles are calling, so we order ciriole (fresh homemade pasta) with truffles and gnocchi with mutton sauce. The first courses are plentiful and high-quality, Jonathan follows us, giving us advice, then the second courses... extra-tender tagliata with salt and oil, and the tartufata, scrambled eggs with truffles and baked potatoes that are a delight for the palate: grilled first and then baked. Two glasses of wine to accompany, and to finish, the Italian dessert of childhood: zuppa inglese! Stop in Strettura, Trattoria la Margherita. In winter, the large fireplace will captivate and enchant you... even if the quality of the raw materials reigns supreme, and life will be more beautiful!

02/09/2025: We found this place by chance... Eleonora (the chef) makes the dishes unique, not only for the quality but also for the love she puts into the table. Iacopo manages the service excellently. We dined there four consecutive nights. It was impossible to change. They pampered us in every way. I have a lot of allergies and Eleonora always fed me, from appetizer to dessert... I hope to be able to return soon.

20/08/2025: Disorganized. We arrived at 8:30 PM and they made us leave even though we had a reservation for 9:00 PM, and at that time, 50% of the tables were empty. Too bad for them. We found another restaurant 30 meters away (without a reservation) and had a wonderful meal!

06/08/2025: Restaurants like we love so much and which are becoming increasingly rare. A great restaurant thanks to the owner's heart, who treats us like regulars, like family. It was very frustrating not being able to answer him in Italian. The menu is a surprise, you just have to trust him and enjoy the delicious authentic cuisine of the country girl. After 2 weeks spent in northern Italy, then in Tuscany, restaurants for lunch and dinner, it is here, in Umbria, that we were best received, that we ate the best, and that we fell in love.
