Non avevamo prenotato e in 5 minuti, nonostante la confusione di persone che aspettava, ci hanno fatto accomodare. Il personale è molto cordiale e professionale. È tutto veramente molto buono, anzi ottimo!! Non perdetevi lo stinco, gli spatzle e uova/patate/speck: favolosi!! I piatti sono molto generosi!! Consigliatissimo!!

Excellent dishes and first-class wines, casual and relaxed in the morning, elegant and full of flair in the evening. Even without the arcades, this is a must-visit in the region. 08/09/2025: I went to this place during aperitivo time before lunch with my girlfriend and family, drawn by the location and the fact that there were several people sitting at the tables. I always try to avoid writing bad reviews, but in this case it would be wrong not to. I'll start by saying that I'm a regular at Michelin-starred restaurants (this one isn't, but it's in the guide nonetheless), so I'll sum up my experience with this: it's not quite there. Absolutely outrageous prices, a pointless €4 cover charge per person for a glass of wine each and a charcuterie board (a normal plate of speck and average salami, no mortadella) and an embarrassing cheese board (literally a small plate with five microscopic pieces of cheese and a sort of compote of some fruit in the center), both for €20 a plate. So, first of all, if you want to offer service like a busy restaurant/cafe, you do it in every way; either you succeed or you don't. Uncooked bread included in the price (I don't think I've ever experienced this in an osteria, much less in a Michelin-starred restaurant) was not even noticed by the owner, and we had to point it out to him. Small sharing plates of cheese and cured meats were only made upon request, and no explanation was given about the cheeses we were tasting (you're charging me 20 euros for them? Explain to me what I'm eating; that seems like the basis of fine dining). Unfriendly service and outrageous prices; Michelin should review its standards. Recommended only if you want to be needlessly ripped off. Avoid.

09/12/2025: Unfortunately our visit was not as expected. Even though service was nice by the staff, the hotel is not as close as it’s been mentioned on the comments and written on the website. It takes 25 mins to the center with the city bus. Other than that our room was extremely small with a constant smell coming from the toilet. The amount of money we paid was too much for this kind of a stay. This is not hotel’s fault but because the bus wasn’t reliable it didn’t come in the morning in the time as scheduled so we missed our train. There is no any other option if you don’t have a vehicle Just a heads up in case of inconvenience.

16/11/2025: Anyone who enjoys excellent steaks will be in good hands at Hidalgo with Otto Mattivi and his team. Top quality, superb cuisine, and the staff are very attentive and competent. I'm not in South Tyrol regularly, but when I am, Hidalgo is a must.

22/10/2025: We've been to the restaurant several times and have always been very satisfied with the regional grilled specialties! A very good selection, delicious seasonal soups, and excellent service. My recommendation: the Lagrein-braised beef cheeks with a reduced wine sauce.

14/10/2025: I simply couldn't find anything to complain about! Nice rooms with balconies, excellent food, and lovely sunbathing lawns right by the lake. The service was also top-notch, and we were able to store our bikes. We'll be back.
