05/03/2026: Unreliable and unprofessional. Avoid. I booked this hotel months ago for a trail race weekend. Now, just two weeks before my stay, they have cancelled my reservation with no explanation and no alternative. My entire trip is already paid for—flights, race entry, and transport. Because of the race, everything in the area is now fully booked. They have left me stranded and ruined my plans. You cannot trust this hotel. They clearly don't care about their customers. Do not book here if you actually need a place to stay.

23/10/2025: I had dinner at this establishment, the food was excellent and the staff were very kind.

16/02/2026: I had a coffee, paid, and to get the change I had to wait for the owner to serve other people, chat, and then remember to give me the change.

25/09/2025: We were a couple and ordered 3 dishes. I can't say that any of the dishes were good either in terms of taste, size of the dish or price. The only bright spot in the place is the good staff. We wouldn't go back to the restaurant again

15/07/2025: Our visit to this restaurant was unfortunately very disappointing. Even the first waiter spoke neither Italian nor English, which made communication difficult. He was also unkempt and smelled strongly of sweat, as were the other waiters on duty. We ordered four tomatoes with buffalo mozzarella. After more than 40 minutes, the waiter informed us that there wasn't enough mozzarella. No alternative was offered; instead, smaller portions were served. Although I mentioned from the beginning that I was pregnant, I received pasta with raw shrimp as my main course. After I complained, the dish was brought back slightly overcooked, but it was still inedible. When I asked for the menu again, I was told the kitchen was closed. The waiter suggested reheating the same pasta – which I declined. Only after a discussion with my husband did I finally receive a small portion of fries. The other guests' entrecôte was also edible, but disappointing in taste. Overall, the evening was characterized by chaotic service, a lack of communication, and poorly prepared food. Unfortunately, the reviews on Google and TripAdvisor no longer reflect reality. We won't be back.

25/01/2026: Old fashioned tavern, homemade pasta, everything very good, generous portions, good family restaurant, but very very good, nice place, we were 12 people for dinner, we were satisfied, thanks to the next one

10/12/2025: An unpretentious osteria serving traditional Tuscan dishes, such as pici with wild boar ragù, liver, and rabbit in Brunello wine. A homey atmosphere and friendly, welcoming staff. The house wine and homemade tart were very good (it reminded me so much of the one my grandmother used to make when I was little!!!). Good value for money.

31/07/2025: I usually try to choose places with a Google rating of 4.5 or higher for dinner because I don't have the time or energy to test the cuisines of touristy places. We came here because it's on the main square and there was space between the tables on the far side. The drinks were good, the atmosphere was good, and we finally decided to go ahead and order. The food was delicious, fresh, and very flavorful. So, despite the Google ratings, we had a great time and it's great that we ended up staying. Our waiter was also very nice and fast (Falco). We left feeling full.

26/08/2025: A property nestled in a truly fascinating area, among olive groves and vineyards. Perhaps it deserves a little more attention, but we had a pleasant weekend. The food was also delicious. The prima donnas, the cat princess, and her fox friend. The service, especially in the evening, was attentive and attentive.

01/03/2026: The appetizer was good (the only fresh item), the first courses were reheated in the microwave... I honestly wouldn't recommend it. Flavorless, and the pici were overcooked. Actually, after we sat down, the doubt arose... Isn't there a kitchen? A small appetizer of cured meats, two first courses, two glasses of wine, a bottle of water, and dessert were €69. I would have gladly left them there, if only the food had been fresh.

26/02/2026: We went there for lunch today and had pici with white Chianina beef ragù. Unfortunately, our experience wasn't the best: the pici were rubbery and flavorless, and the ragù had a strange taste. There was too much oil, and it almost seemed like a crostini sauce rather than actual ragù. Otherwise, I recommend going just for the wine, as they have a wide selection. The place is nice, right in the center of San Quirico d'Orcia. The staff is friendly. It's a shame, because for the quality of the food, we really paid too much.

18/02/2026: We stopped in front of the Pienza Cathedral for a hearty aperitivo that turned into a full-blown lunch... and it was absolutely worth it. The charcuterie and cheese platter was top-quality, featuring carefully selected local products. The fried pecorino was the real star: crispy on the outside, creamy and stringy on the inside, simply exceptional. The fennel and anchovy salad, in its simplicity, surprised us: fresh, balanced, and full of flavor. Sometimes the simplest dishes are the ones that last. All this was accompanied by the warm hospitality and attentiveness of the staff, which made the atmosphere even more pleasant. A well-deserved 5 stars for the quality of the products, location, and hospitality. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy a hearty aperitivo (or a casual lunch) in the heart of Pienza.

04/01/2026: Abandon all hope, all you who enter: broken air conditioning and a freezing cold environment in the dead of winter with temperatures near freezing, a malfunctioning exhaust hood, resulting in cooking fumes filling the dining room with unbreathable air, canned beans cooked directly in preserving starch, frozen spinach, and mediocre pici made with pancetta instead of guanciale. The dining room staff is incapable of handling all these issues. Furthermore, all our clothes need to be taken to the dry cleaners. Other customers near us got up and left. An experience to forget.

31/08/2025: Decent place, no wait for a table, as only four were occupied. Now, let's talk about the menu: the house wine was poor quality, the potatoes could have been fried for a few more minutes, and they were still raw inside; after five minutes, they were already cold. The "pizzas"... I fear they were pre-made, as they have clear industrial marks and no crust, similar to piadinas. The menu specifies "Fior di latte," but in reality, it tasted like melted cheese. The glasses smelled like wet dog, completely dissatisfied.

06/12/2025: The legume and cavolo nero soup was very good, and even a simple salad was well-prepared and tasty, with thinly sliced ​​raw zucchini and Taggiasca olives. Friendly service. Convivial atmosphere. Recommended

26/12/2025: The structure, although obsolete, has a truly beautiful location, perhaps one of the best in the whole country... having finished the positive notes, probably the dirtiest structure I have ever had the displeasure of visiting. The neglect, the lack of cleanliness, the poor quality of the breakfast should be avoided.

I paid and everything seemed arranged. I also received a confirmation mail. When I arrived the restaurant was closed. I called and called but nothing. I kept on calling the next days... I just communicated with a forgotten Automated procedure. No-one checked ever the reservations. None checked the mails, the bank accounts. Pity. Bad experience. Unprofessionals...
