14/08/2024: For me, for years now, coming to Chianciano Terme also means stopping at the flavor stop: excellent sandwiches and platters, excellent wines and drinks, top cleanliness, kindness of Mrs. Loredana always courteous and with a smile! The private garden in the shade of centuries-old trees. Marvelous! Highly recommended!

10/07/2024: Lovely spot, friendly service, tasty food and reasonable prices and menu. Very nice staff which were quick an inefficient. No trying to be too fancy just down to earth good local cuisine.

07/07/2024: Absolutely awful, severely disappointing visit at La Bottega this evening with our family of 6 adults and two teenagers. We enjoyed a lovely meal two days ago, so much so, we decided to book for the rest of the family when they arrived today. We confirmed the reservation with our waiter who took great lengths to discuss the vegetarian options for our daughter. We walked down from HPB in time for our reservation at 7.30pm, meeting people we know from our first night’s meal on the way. NOBODY had our booking!!!! NOBODY had any idea we were arriving!! As a table or 8, we are consciously aware we need to book in advance to avoid not finding a table. But we didn’t expect the restaurant to let us down in this way. All HPB bond holders - Please be aware that bookings are very ‘loose’ at this restaurant. Despite the fact you walk away from dinner feeling secure you have a booking for a few days time, you will be sorely disappointed. The staff were unhelpful in that they could so nothing for 8 hungry people. Very, very sad to say this but we absolutely DO NOT recommend.

28/08/2024: Wow, we had lunch today at the Spadaforte pizza restaurant in the center of Siena and I have to say thanks to Luigi, a nice guy who knows how to both recommend their dishes and also welcome customers. Thanks from Giusy and Salvo and daughters from Palermo.

27/08/2024: The owner of the accommodation where we were guests recommended this restaurant to us. The lunch was really good and the service was impeccable. The prices are excellent for being in the heart of Piazza del Campo in Siena. The pici cacio e pepe and the platter are recommended but the rest is also excellent

13/08/2024: From the starter to the desserts we can say that everything is very good, tasty dishes and quality ingredients. Very good seafood risotto, cooked just right. The environment has remained the same for several years and the staff is courteous. The restaurant also has a car park. Definitely recommended

15/07/2024: Lovely place with great potential, friendly staff. Unfortunately, there is a lack of maintenance, the large umbrella is all torn and mouldy, the bar is falling apart, the tables are full of ants. I'm there today, as it's Monday and the place is a bit isolated, we were around 20 people in the entire facility. I found the bathroom without paper, without soap, sunbeds and deckchairs all open in a disorderly manner. It seems to have been left unchanged by the Sunday crowd. If for organizational reasons it is not possible to restore decorum on Sunday evening, let it open later on Monday, perhaps at a discounted price but those arriving cannot find it in those conditions. Choosing that swimming pool means choosing relaxation and you can't find yourself there all morning with the attendant making noise because he's intent on cleaning up the dirt from the day before and throwing the sunbeds and deckchairs without the slightest consideration, placing them near us with a noticeable noise. . Price list regularly displayed but a small portion of not exceptional pici cacio e pepe consumed in a dilapidated bar, 12.50 euros seemed a bit excessive to me. Even the sandwich I got, although well filled, had bread that wasn't fresh without us making an effort to at least give it a reheat. It's a shame because there is general friendliness and the place would be really nice

08/07/2024: Fantastic place, friendly, attentive and friendly staff. An oasis immersed in the fantastic Chianti hills! A magical place. Delicious food and good selection of beers and wine.

29/06/2024: Pranzo perfetto. La proprietaria molto gentile. Ci siamo accomodati nella veranda con il nostro cane. Antipasto ottimo e pici con ragù bianco di chianina e pici al cinghiale spettacolari. Pasta e ragù fatti in casa. Ambiente semplice e informale. Anche la colazione è buona con prodotti freschi della zona. Assolutamente consigliato!

16/06/2024: Location perfetta . Camera spaziosa e letto grande e comodissimo Una settimana di relax e cucina strepitosa con piatti tipici del posto . La signora Enza e il signor Giovanni si sono sempre resi disponibili per ogni richiesta . Ottimi i vini consigliati locali .

02/01/2024: It's not yet chill Ca' luce...my husband is Neapolitan and therefore I use this apophthegm. If you read the menu carefully, it seems that in Maremma the food is free! But how much do you want a crepe with a drawstring to cost (in Chiusdino??? come on, we're not joking) what do you need a magnifying glass to be able to slice it? two (2) mini tortelli stained with ragù with a sprinkling of curry and mace (in Maremma? ?) And desserts packaged in huge plates edged with icing sugar and mysterious powders? Super shocking bill in a tavern lost in the countryside!!! to turn your head to the left while driving by on the road towards Massa M.ma.

31/08/2024: Really wish we had a better review to write for this place, while the view is incredible it is really not worth the service received... I booked this restaurant for my 30th birthday two months before our visit to Italy and made a point to contact the restaurant via social media to request a table with the view. Unfortunately, when we arrived we were sat in the back corner of the restaurant and were told a table with the view was not possible. It was extremely disappointing as we made a point in our booking to request this and made the reservation TWO months in advance. The team did try to fit an extra chair onto the table in the front however they told us it would obstruct the diners next to us and frankly made us feel like a burden for asking. Having worked in the service industry myself for 5 years, it really didn't appear to be an issue but we did not want to argue about it. We then asked to be moved to a side table towards the back to have some view which they did kindly do for us and gifted us some bubbles as an apology which was appreciated. However, after we sat the service was really slow and we felt like a burden. The irony was that the table in the front that was being held, ended up being for a group who arrived after sunset and after we were nearly finished eating... The food was okay, certainly nothing to shout about. The staff was also unable to provide toilet paper in the bathroom as we left - we waited 10 minutes following our meal to use the restroom then just left. The best part of our evening was the kind caring hostess who had only been working there for 2 weeks. Would suggest you skip it!

29/08/2024: The pizzas were excellent, but the service was atrocious. We ordered three pizzas and one pasta. Each pizza arrived about five minutes apart, and the pasta arrived 30 minutes later. It then took 15 minutes to get the bill.

29/07/2024: We ate two salads (cherry tomatoes and a mozzarella) and a plate of bresaola with some rocket leaves. A bottle of water and a cocacola, two coffees. Total 33.80 euros. A truly excessive price compared to what was provided and the type of venue. A big disappointment.
