Trattoria del Pettirosso In Monteverdi marittimo

22/01/2024: We stayed at this fairly remote agriturismo run by a couple in September. There is relatively little to see in the area and you should shop early and enough. On a very bumpy, sometimes dangerous road (torture for our low-lying car) you come to a protected forest area with the small holiday homes and the restaurant, which you basically had to use if you didn't want to drive away forever. The apartment and location were atmospheric, playful and we really liked it. Unfortunately, our room wasn't cleaned once in 6 days and we didn't receive new towels either. Unfortunately, the food in the restaurant was a bit overpriced and the portions were a bit small. Free-roaming animals (dogs, cows and sometimes wild boars in the evenings, which are fed by the owners) were constantly running around in the yard, so you have to be aware of that. Unfortunately the natural pool was quite algae.

05/01/2024: Definitely a suitable place for a summer holiday. Kind and helpful people but with little experience in catering.
