24/08/2024: I ended up in the restaurant by pure chance and was really satisfied with the quality of the dishes! Everything was delicious, in particular tortelli di Monterotondo with ragù, original as they are a house creation, the filling is excellent, very delicate and the pastry is really thin! Never had something so good! The starter (donzelle and ham) and the sheep's roasts cooked and salted to perfection were also very good. Very kind and friendly wait staff! I will definitely go back

Ci ha consigliato degli ottimi vini da degustare accompagnati da un tagliere di salumi e formaggi di ottima qualità! Ovviamente non siamo riusciti ad uscire a mani vuote!!!! Prezzi onestissimi! For dinner for 4 people, we ordered: ✅️ cold snacks (two types of different cheese, sliced ​​pork, honey and jam), donuts made from a special dough that simply melted in your mouth 🥯, zucchini flowers fried in batter and 3 types of different sandwiches. ✅️ white wine 🍸 ✅️ pork steak (1400 kg), which was served together with a heated stove, on which we fried pieces of meat at will. 🥩 This dish is extremely tasty and deserves the 1st place in this establishment. ✅️ red wine 🍷 ✅️ pizza of three different types 🍕 ✅️ sweet: cheesecake with black currants and raspberries 🍰 (in the heart 💘), pana cotta with caramel and fruit filling, ice cream with pistachio flavor. 31/08/2024: Con mia moglie e nostro figlio in una caldissima serata d'Agosto abbiamo prenotato questo ristorante. Location attraente con vista sul porto...peccato che in serate come questa alcuni tavoli fra cui il nostro siano messi proprio a ridosso della strada abbastanza trafficata (avevamo chiesto di sederci ad un tavolo in migliore posizione ma la richiesta è stata rifiutata nonostante il tavolo sia restato libero per tutta la sera). Molto buoni i primi, le cozze, e buona la frittura...peccato che i piatti ci siano arrivati in tempi diversi al tavolo. Camerieri gentili, prezzi nella media. Probabilmente da riprovare in tempi meno affollati.

28/08/2024: Location molto bella, affaccia sul porto di Santo Stefano. Personale abbastanza gentile anche se un po’ lenti. Noi in 3 abbiamo preso 1 gnocco mare e terra, 1 spaghetto alle vongole, 1 gnocco al ragù, 1 frittura, 2 bottiglie d’acqua e abbiamo speso 74€.

31/08/2024: Traditional location. I think good management is familiar, friendliness is at home. Homemade wine well prepared and simple. The dishes are tasty. The price is related to the good traditional Tuscan cuisine and the quality.

07/08/2024: Terrible reservation management, we arrived 15 minutes before the reservation, we asked the reservation guy who after looking for the name said that they were still finishing eating at the table so we had to wait, after 20 minutes so time after our reservation they were still there eating and other reservations from 2 people like us had already sat at other tables. I ask again at the reservation desk and this time a girl tells me that since I didn't ask her she doesn't know, even answering rudely. Asking the third waitress she makes us sit at another table. Good food, great view on the place.

07/08/2024: The restaurant offers a beautiful view in front of the port, suggestive at sunset, the menu is original and the courses are all very good, the waiters welcoming and professional. Great experience, I highly recommend it!

30/08/2024: Truly a restaurant worthy of the name, where orders are still taken in mind and without making a single mistake! Very fast service, food with good quality raw materials, very nice garden.

23/08/2024: I went for lunch with my family on August 14th but the first time I called on the phone to reserve was around 1pm the owner asked me to hurry up and get there when I said I was 15 minutes away. Upon arrival, it doesn't make a great impression from the outside with fake Christmas-type lights and it looks more like a bar than a restaurant. We are a little taken aback but I see bottles of Vintage Tunina and Cervaro della Sala on display and as a good sommelier I say to myself if he has these bottles it means the food is good. The place was practically empty and I had to call if anyone was there, the decor was of dubious taste with counters displaying cans of fanta, coke and even a plaque as the best restaurant in Follonica (hopefully I say). The owner already welcomes us with a crooked tone because we had a small dog but perhaps because he wanted to hurry he shows us the table. After a while while the owner was taking orders he interrupted arguing at a distance with some kids who came in wet from the nearby pool and then argued loudly with the staff if they understood Italian for a dish and all this while he was in front of us. Honestly not a nice atmosphere and if it wasn't because I was a guest we would have left as did another guest where the owner's response was go ahead and that's fine with me. Meh! As for the food we took a simple pasta with sauce, a spaghetti that was supposed to be with clams but then only clams and empty ones at that even if the taste was decent. The fried fish at €25 I expected something more as the predominance were potatoes. I ask for a Muller Thurgau and the owner comes back with a Pinot Grigio and as soon as he begins to affect the capsule I point out to him that the bottle was not correct and he immediately counters by saying that I had asked for that one and angrily brings us the one ordered. In the end we take a crem caramel advertised in the 80s, not bad but it was a simple crem caramel. Every now and then I wink at the best restaurant in Follonica and ask myself, how can they award such prizes? Honestly, we could turn a blind eye to the food but the owner was really irritating and the atmosphere was cut with a knife and this didn't allow us to have a peaceful lunch. On the way out I see those bottles of white wine that were just a facade because they weren't present on the wine list and I tell myself what a less appropriate name because there was very little of Meraviglioso.

22/08/2024: The pasta carbonara and cacio e pepe were very good. Eating on the raised balcony is also nice. Prices vary depending on the price, but there are also cheap items. Unfortunately we couldn't reserve online because the whole month wasn't possible. We were able to make a reservation by phone without any problems.

26/08/2024: Incantevole serata con tavolini apparecchiati per strada di questo ristorante-trattoria che offre piatti della tradizione locale; molto buoni i pici alla gricia (forse una contaminazione con il vicino Lazio) ma anche il cinghiale. Menzione speciale al vino rosso della casa; fatevi portare almeno un quartino, non ve ne pentirete!!

27/08/2024: Abbiamo trascorso una settimana a Castiglione e questo é stato il ristorante dell'ultima sera. Superlativo!!!! In un posto di mare saper cucinare il pesce e soprattutto servirlo fresco, viene dato per scontato e in questo ristorante la materia prima é garantita. Vi allego foto che confermano quanto detto 😜

24/08/2024: Abbiamo deciso di andare alla Casa Rossa dopo aver letto molte recensioni positive. Arrivati sul posto abbiamo trovato un locale alquanto mediocre come locazione, allestimento e arredo e abbiamo pensato che la sua fama fosse dovuta ad una cucina schietta ma gustosa, insomma da " trattoria di un tempo" in coerenza con l'aspetto del ristorante. La signora che ci ha accolto è stata molto gentile e cordiale,ma il ragazzo che ci ha poi servito probabilmente era in serata storta. I primi piatti sono effettivamente buoni, in particolare i pici alla salicornia con lupini (...non vongole). Abbiamo poi ordinato delle impepate di cozze. Grave errore! Non so come abbiano fatto, ma le Cozze erano prive di qualunque sapore. Ho avuto la sensazione che siano state bollite in acqua e poi impiattate con una minuscola fetta di limone e,a dispetto del nome, non vi era traccia di pepe. Senza infamia e senza lode la tartare di salmone con avogado. La qualità dei piatti non giustifica i prezzi specie in considerazione del tenore alquanto insignifante del ristorante. Insomma la valutazione complessiva non supera la mediocrità.
