13/04/2025: I spent a weekend there with my wife, a beautiful place in the middle of the Maremma countryside. Very nice structure, with kind and helpful staff. The owner welcomed us with great hospitality. Excellent cuisine in the restaurant. Recommended to visit the winery.

31/10/2024: The residence is really located in the middle of the IL SASSONE farm/winery. The longer journey via the dusty “Strada bianco” is really typically Tuscan. We were warmly welcomed and had a nice, although not very large, room. The furnishings and bathroom correspond to the upscale country house style in Tuscany. We felt comfortable! We really liked the location with the beautiful view over the Marrema. The very quiet area is a good starting point for exploring southern Tuscany. There are also a number of good wineries in the area (beautiful architecture and delicious wine). Il Sassone offers an extensive breakfast. In the evenings there are typical Tuscan daily menus with our own wine. We would particularly like to emphasize the very warm support from the staff in all areas. Unfortunately, what was a bit disturbing in the last few days was a family with children who, as regular guests in the restaurant, were very loud and inconsiderate. But we would still like to come back!

04/11/2024: Structure located in the countryside, very nice entrance, I didn't quite understand the style of the structure and the furnishings, very heterogeneous. Service in general needs to be improved, cuisine needs to be improved, good quality breakfast but the offer needs to be expanded a bit, in my opinion it is wrong to include paid off-the-card options. Staff clothing to be reviewed, breakfast room with somewhat limited table spacing, among other things very small tables.. In my opinion, to achieve excellence you need more attention to detail.

04/11/2024: Everything was perfect except for an unpleasant episode when we arrived at the facility. We booked a double room, previously specifying by email that there would be three of us (with a small child who always sleeps in the middle of us when traveling) and the person who welcomed us and checked us in did not miss the opportunity to emphasize how small the room was for three people, commenting that for a stay of only two nights, however, they could fit us in, finishing, at a later time, after having described the facility, Emphasizing the fact that our choice of room had been for an entry level and therefore we could not expect more or more space. It was very unpleasant and immediately left us with a feeling of inadequacy, as if we had already been told at the beginning of the holiday that our choice was wrong and that therefore we would not be comfortable. I would like to emphasize that we are experienced travelers with children and obviously, before booking a room, we look at the square meters of it and therefore we know very well the space we need to sleep and the time we will spend inside the room. A real shame that the beginning of our wonderful stay in such an impeccable place was unpleasant. Also and above all because the room proved to be adequate for our needs and expectations, indeed much more spacious (especially the bathroom) than we expected.

19/04/2025: Pizza all'olio (or pizza bianca) is cooked in a wood-fired oven. You can often find it freshly baked: hot it's fantastic! In this pizzeria by the slice, pizza is sold by the piece. And you can eat at the outside tables.

26/07/2024: Guys what a place!! Walking among the walls.... We heard a call... Musical... we arrived at this very particular place, with trained, very kind, friendly, cheerful and engaging staff!!! Every corner of this café tells something... Photos... vintage objects.. Musical instruments... Very beautiful! Thanks guys it was a fantastic evening!!! You can't go to Grosseto without MAKING A STOP AT THIS HISTORIC BUT WONDERFULLY INFORMAL café

22/04/2025: Clean environment, friendly service.. You should look at the dish I'm about to bring to a customer and ask yourself if it looks good.. I can't eat dairy products, I get a pizza with very little tomato on it, a little tuna and two slices of onion... But blessed pizza chef, do you realize that if you don't put the mozzarella like this it isn't seasoned? First it comes dry, and add a little more tomato!!! I'm not saying tuna, which has its cost.. But the onion.?.. In short.. You get a sad pizza that makes you never want to eat. This is an invitation to improve yourself and make dinner a pleasant experience even for those who for health reasons cannot eat like others.

30/04/2025: A journey into the authentic flavors of the Maremma After a walk on the walls of Magliano in Toscana, we stopped at Osteria La Poventa with the desire to taste good grilled meat, a local wine and the refined simplicity of Tuscan cuisine. Federico, the innkeeper, guided us with competence and passion in the choice: a tender and tasty cut of Podolian veal, cooked to perfection and accompanied by vegetables from the garden. A dish that alone is worth the trip. All combined with the red “Le Sughere di Frassinello” from the Rocca di Frassinello winery: intense, elegant, perfect. The next day we returned to discover the rest of the menu, and this time too we were enthusiastic. Starters of local Cinta Senese ham and pâté with pears, accompanied by excellent vinsanto, followed by pici with roe deer and maltagliati with wild boar: authentic, balanced and full of character dishes. The choice of Ansonica from Fattoria di Magliano, proposed by Federico, was also excellent. At Poventa you can find the excellence of the Maremma area, cooked with skill and respect for tradition. Finally, the desserts are a pleasant surprise: original reinterpretations of peasant cuisine that end the meal with elegance. In summary, La Poventa is not just a tavern: it is a journey into the true flavors of the Maremma, guided by the careful hand of those who deeply love their territory. 28/10/2024: Ogni volta che veniamo a Seggiano, è obbligo la tappa al Ristorante "Da Luca". La classica vera trattoria con pasta fresca,selvaggina e prodotti di stagione come in questo week end le Castagne, infatti i miei amici mi hanno tradito con le tagliatelle alle castagne mentre io sono rimasto fedele ai pici al ragù. Chiuso con brasato al vino di Montecucco. Consigliato anche per il pranzo della domenica. Alla Prossima

16/03/2025: Abbiamo trovato la location semplice e accogliente anche se era una serata piovosa, con un ampio parcheggio. Il personale molto gentile e il servizio veloce anche con il locale affollato. Buono e sfizioso l'antipasto misto, ottimi i maltagliati con asparagi e gamberetti. Grado di soddisfazione 10!! Ci torneremo di sicuro, lo consigliamo.

07/09/2024: Terzo anno consecutivo per noi. Migliore struttura a Follonica. Unica per struttura e qualità dei servizi offerti. Personale gentile e disponibile fin dalla prima volta che siamo venuti. Consigliato anche per il pranzo e l aperitivo,di qualità con una vista invidiabile.

04/09/2024: Recatami al bar del posto alle 9:15 erano terminate tutte le paste, alla domanda alla barista “signora non ha altro?”, la risposta è stata un cenno del volto. Da evitare!!!!

09/04/2025: I have been frequenting the establishment for years both during the summer holidays, enjoying the beach and related services, umbrella, sunbeds, etc..., but also the restaurant, where I also dine during my work stops in Grosseto and the surrounding area. The owners make you feel at home. Highly recommended

05/05/2025: Food was ok, prices too. We were there late and about 15 minutes before curfew a waiter started staring at us because we weren't ready yet. 5 minutes before curfew our table was abandoned without comment and the last sip of wine was literally snatched out of our hands. You can also make it much friendlier.
