07/09/2025: We had very high expectations, due to the good reviews of this place, after a two-hour journey, we were slightly disappointed by the quality of the food, unfortunately everything was bland, the mushrooms were really flavourless, the only positive note was the natural egg salad, delicious! Too bad

14/10/2025: BLATANT DISCRIMINATION BETWEEN CUSTOMERS AND REGULAR CUSTOMERS. IT'S A SHAME BECAUSE THE FOOD WAS NOT BAD, BUT THE TREATMENT WAS REALLY TERRIBLE.

27/09/2025: An experience to forget. We entered this restaurant only because we were caught in the rain and driven by hunger. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a truly unfortunate choice. The service was practically nonexistent: the bread arrived at the end of the dinner and the customer service was zero. We ordered a mixed fried fish dish with calamari, shrimp, and mixed seafood. We were served five microscopic shrimp and six squid rings. When we asked for clarification on the lack of mixed seafood, they brought us two slices of fried morena, with such an unpleasant smell that we had to open the windows. The bill? Horrifying, especially considering the quality and quantity of the food served. We pointed out the lack of mixed seafood, hoping for a common-sense gesture from the owner, but nothing. In hindsight, we would never have gone in. A place to absolutely avoid.

27/09/2025: According to the opening hours on Google Maps, the restaurant would be open today, September 27th. However, there's a notice on the door saying the restaurant is closed. The peak season is over. Great. They could also adjust the opening hours on Google, where thousands of people search and try to find information every day. Very annoying and weak on the part of the owner.

10/09/2025: Highly recommended. Really delicious pizza 🍕😋 Prices are more than reasonable, servers are very attentive and friendly, I'd definitely go back!

30/09/2025: On Saturday, September 27, 2025, I visited the "Canapone" restaurant for the first time, dining practically in the heart of Grosseto's historic center. The service was truly remarkable, with a generously sized table for two and very comfortable chairs. I took the order in perfect time, and tried the "selection of cured meats" and the "paccheri alla pescatora," as well as the tagliatelle with rabbit ragù (I hadn't had hand-chopped ragù in ages, at least not because of the texture and cut of the meat). The welcome reception with homemade appetizers, simple yet delicious, was much appreciated. The price was not bad, considering I only ordered wine by the glass, not the bottle, and no main course or dessert. I will definitely be back to try the other dishes.

15/07/2025: Posto bellissimo Cinque stelle, del cibo molto buono e anche il bere. Siamo andati via in fretta, non perché ci fosse qualcosa che non andava, ma soltanto perché i nostri cani piangevano. Bravissimi 🤩😊

19/06/2025: Restaurant atypique à découvrir avec une très bonne qualité de plats typiques toscans mais aussi d’autres régions italiennes . La patronne très accueillante et jonglant aussi bien avec l’italien que l allemand ou le français , il n’y avait pas d’anglais ce soir là … Le service est impeccable . Je recommande avec une mention particulière pour une belle découverte vinicole au travers d’un rosé d’un producteur local ( Scarlino) Le Carpiana .

02/11/2025: A lovely trattoria to eat at. The food was really good: delicious pappardelle, fantastic wild boar ragout, delicious crostini, mind-blowing pappa al pomodoro, very good appetizers. The beans tasted like they came from a can (a shame) but were delicious. The chicory was flavorful, and the Vin Santo was extremely alcoholic. I don't know, it just didn't convince me. I wasn't crazy about the cantucci either, but that's a matter of personal preference. The coffee, bread, water, and excellent olive oil were delicious. I found the bread refill during service really pleasant.

04/07/2025: The establishment has everything. Bar, sandwiches, restaurant, umbrellas, deck chairs, hot and cold showers with or without shower gel, disabled bathroom and even water games for the little ones. The staff is courteous and always smiling, the restaurant is excellent and fast even when full, the dishes are plentiful and the prices are in line with the area. Recommended for the whole family. Also accessible for people with motor disabilities. I recommend it wholeheartedly and for those who write negative comments, I have found myself in some situations, in my opinion the stress of work or family should be left at home instead of taking it to the beach ...

02/07/2025: Without taking anything away from the beach resort, which is very simple but complete, the restaurant is the real gem. Impeccable staff and truly exceptional food!

12/09/2025: A very nice restaurant, with mostly outdoor seating. The cuisine is very elaborate, gourmet in style. If we return to the area, we'll definitely stop by.

25/10/2025: I went to the inn with my husband (a butcher)... we ordered two cuts of steak and grilled vegetables... after 5 minutes everything arrived... the meat was very tender but arrived cold, the vegetables were baked, not grilled, unfortunately, they were also cold... We ordered two desserts, which arrived after 3 minutes: a tiramisu and a semifreddo... the tiramisu was very watery, and my honey and fruit semifreddo had two pieces of peach in syrup (if it was a peach) that were a bit rancid... The wine was excellent... I hate to write this because I'm not very picky, but I do expect some things since I pay... I forgot, everyone was very kind and friendly...

10/10/2025: I was initially disappointed because the inn is located on a major road, but everything else was a pleasant surprise. The very original entrance, the charming breakfast room with modern vintage furnishings, the clean and well-maintained rooms, and, last but not least, the friendliness and courtesy of the owner and the "handyman" lady... completed the experience. If I were to pass through that area, I'd definitely want to return. Also to try the restaurant, which I think is superb!

09/09/2025: We arrived at Lo Scalino on a stormy evening and had the entire marquee to ourselves. The intimate setting turned out to be incredibly romantic, setting the tone for one of the most memorable meals of our trip. From start to finish, the food was truly first class. My wife began with the seafood salad while I opted for the gnocchi with mussels both dishes were absolute standouts: fresh, flavourful, and beautifully prepared. For our mains, we enjoyed the Trofie pasta and the Frittura. Once again, the ingredients spoke for themselves simple, fresh, and perfectly seasoned. If I had one small note, it would be that the Frittura had slightly more vegetables than expected in a seafood dish, but it was still thoroughly enjoyable. We finished with a refreshing Sgroppino, the perfect end to the meal. The service was just as impressive as the food. Our server wore a smile, was attentive, and the pacing of the meal was spot-on unhurried yet efficient. Having been in Italy for 10 days, this was easily one of the highlights of our journey. We’re even considering returning before we leave. Highly recommended.

29/07/2025: The restaurant is located on the terrace of a 5-star hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The view isn't great because the hotel is in a less than ideal location. The interior is very well-kept, with a lovely pool on the terrace, but for what we ate, it's decidedly expensive. I understand it's a 5-star hotel, but given its location and the dishes served, it's not worth the price.
