Amazing stay. Super staff, lovely pool, and the best breakfast of the entire holiday (in Italy)! We spontaneously stayed an extra night! The road leading there is unpaved, but that is the case in many places in Italy. The location is wonderfully central and is more than suitable for simply not going anywhere and relaxing by the pool (not heated, so a bit chilly in mid-October, but after taking two deep breaths, no problem at all). Beautiful, spacious rooms and lovely toiletries. We will definitely be back here again!

It’s a shame Google only allows five stars – this place truly deserves a sixth! Aby and Zenovia made our stay unforgettable — their warmth, kindness, and attention to detail were beyond amazing. We came for our honeymoon and got upgraded to a stunning room with a dreamy Tuscan view. Everything was spotless, stylish, and full of charm. Truly one of the best stays we’ve ever had — can’t wait to come back! 🍷🌿✨

Overall, we were very disappointed; the extremely positive reviews had predicted a great hotel. The hotel room's entrance sign was torn, the glass in the entrance door was painted over, or whatever; it certainly didn't look good. Some of the loungers by the pool were in a desolate state! The room was rather plain, the cleaning was poor, the shower was a compact plastic coffin with slightly moldy joints. A tiny closet in which you could only hang a few things, and only hang them! The food wasn't great either; it was very oily and greasy. The service was very attentive and friendly! A nice cold pool (supposedly heated) and the view is great. But is that enough! We won't be repeating this! I'm curious to see how long my review will remain on the hotel's website, or whether it will be removed so that the "great" hotel can continue to boast a 4.7 rating!

Wonderful stay, both for the structure, the staff and the food.

The highlight of this villa is definitely its location…the views are absolutely stunning. The staff were also exceptionally friendly and helpful, which made our stay very welcoming. That said, some expectations weren’t fully met: While the room was comfortable, with beautiful furniture and lovely views, it didn’t quite match the impression given online. The bathroom also had an unpleasant smell, which was disappointing. Another thing to note is that there are no fridges in the rooms, and the only dining option on-site is the villa’s restaurant. We’d recommend driving into Grosseto for meals – it’s close by and offers many more choices at better value than the local restaurants…! The pool, however, was incredible and a real highlight of our stay. Overall, I would definitely return, but next time I’d bring a cool box and plan meals in advance. Thank you for the hospitality!

We stayed there for three nights in late August. We loved the authentic and remote feel this place had, which was exactly what we were looking for during our stay in Tuscany. Special mention for the staff, they were so lovely and made our stay even more appreciable. The view from the pool area is stunning (and from our room's balcony). We enjoyed two dinners in the restaurant, it was great.

Maremma: A Journey Through Time and Heart Imagine waking up to the peace and longed-for silence of Tenuta Fattoria Vecchia. The air, still fresh and clean from the morning, carries with it the scent of cypress trees, silent sentinels of this corner of paradise. From your bed, you see the golden sunlight filtering through the window, illuminating the ancient exposed beams, while birdsong drifts from the garden. The panorama that opens before your eyes is a hymn to beauty: the rolling Maremma hills embrace one another in an endless embrace of green, and to the west, on the horizon, like a promise, the thin blue line of the sea appears. Breakfast is an experience in itself. Homemade cakes, fresh fruit jams, local cheeses and cured meats, a triumph of flavors that makes you forget the winding road to get here. It's an authentic taste of this land, a way to immediately feel a part of it. After cooling off in the pool, admiring the breathtaking view and sipping a refreshing drink, you decide to explore the surroundings, losing yourself in the scent of pine trees and wild plants. A few kilometers away lies Baccinello, a small village hiding an extraordinary secret. Local history tells that, a few months after the mine closed, two miners made a discovery that changed the history of paleontology. About 200 meters underground, they uncovered a complete fossil skeleton, that of a hominid that lived 8.5 million years ago: the Oreopithecus. Affectionately nicknamed "Sandrone," this fossil brought Baccinello to international prominence and finally made the dream of Swiss paleontologist Johannes Hürzeler come true. Walking through this land, you almost sense Sandrone's presence, imagining that he too admired the same hills and breathed in the same scents. You're no longer just a tourist, but a time traveler, moving between the present and an incredibly distant past. From your farmhouse, the hills seem to gently roll towards the sea, and the blue horizon beckons. A few dozen kilometers away, the Maremma coast welcomes you with a different, yet equally breathtaking, beauty. You can lose yourself in the charm of Castiglione della Pescaia, with its medieval castle and golden beaches, or enjoy the vast pine forests of Marina di Grosseto. But it's the Argentario that captures the soul. An island joined to the mainland by strips of sand, where the sea has unique colors and cliffs plunge into the crystalline water. Here are Porto Ercole and Porto Santo Stefano, picturesque ports rich in history and life. And what about Orbetello, nestled on a lagoon that enchants with its colors and scents? But the true essence of the Maremma lies not only in its landscapes, its sea, or its history. It's in its people, a people who strike you with their authenticity and innate courtesy. It's not superficial hospitality, but sincere, made of open smiles and genuine conversation. It's the civility expressed in the simplicity of gestures: spontaneous help if you're lost, the warmth of someone who serves you a plate of tortelli, the respect you feel in every exchange. Maremma isn't just a place, it's an emotion. And its people, with their friendliness and genuine character, make it even more special. This is the memory we brought with us to our Puglia. Thank you

Ristorante Romolo

15/03/2026: An excellent option for a seafood lunch. The pink shrimp tartare and gnocchi with octopus ragù are recommended.

Caffe Gold

07/04/2026: I can't say more. We were passing through and stopped for lunch. The sauce on the pici with white ragù and chestnuts tasted like nothing. The bruschetta appetizer was 4 slices of toasted bread without garlic or salt. 2 with just oil (a lot) and 2 with tomato pieces drowned in oil but without salt and without being rubbed with garlic, which is the basis of bruschetta. Unfortunately, the service wasn't precise: we ordered a glass of wine and they accepted it even though the menu didn't list the glasses or the price. They served us a glass of Brunello without telling us the price. In the bill, we found a whopping €15 for the glass. We protested because, in addition to not being listed, they didn't tell us the price, and unfortunately, the owner was rude and arrogant. He wanted to give us €10 back of the €15, but obviously we didn't accept it. A truly terrible gesture towards a customer. After a few minutes he called us to apologize but we will never go back there again
19/02/2026: Here's one of the reasons to talk about Italian excellence!!! We're in Seggiano for work on a Wednesday in February, and despite the few visitors (basically none), we stop for a quick bite. Amazing food, with equally delicious olive oil and wine, and warm, freshly baked bread!! The handmade tortelli filled with ricotta and topped with olive oil and parmesan are a must-try. What can I say? A must-see, nestled in the Tuscan countryside!
