14/02/2026: Review for the hotel bar at the Saint Regis the grand bar our server was Neri.
We stopped by the Grand Bar at the St. Regis for drinks and it’s a beautiful, elegant space — a really lovely spot for an after-dinner cocktail.
The bartender, Neri, was fabulous, and made us feel very welcome and special.
The complimentary savory snacks served with our drinks were a nice touch. The Negroni was tasty. And my champagne was bubbly and perfectly chilled.
There was also a delightful piano player who was excellent. His music added a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. Overall, a wonderful place to sit, unwind, and enjoy a drink.
One of the best hotel bar experiences we have experienced.
Bravo!

31/10/2025: The rooms and service at this hotel are great. We booked a room with a balcony facing the Arno River and loved just drinking wine and taking in the view from the room. The interior felt like a classical royal residence, decorated with large art pieces that really immersed us into the culture. It’s also a convenient walk to everything, as well as getting to and from the train station. We didn’t make too much use of the concierge but the staff was very welcoming and helpful, probably the nicest of any hotel we stayed during this trip to Italy. They lent us 2 umbrellas on the one day that it rained.

19/10/2025: We stopped for a lunch before going to a museum and were kind of in a hurry. We recommendations from the waiter and the food was ok but nothing impressive. I got the impression that the photos in the menu were actually how the dish would come out, but that was not the case.As soon as we were done we asked to be checked out. We and another couple were the only there and we had to go look for a waiter. He asked us to come back to our table with the comment in Italian that we should be going to McDonald's. We will not be coming back.

20/02/2026: What a fantastic experience at Tommasina in Capannuccia, near Grassina! The food was absolutely incredible. I had the polpettine in tegame con melanzane al forno e crema di gorgonzola — rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. Every bite tasted homemade and full of authentic Tuscan character.
The local white wine was magnificent — fresh, elegant, and the perfect pairing for the meal. You can really tell they value quality and local production.
They also offer artisanal products and carefully source local food and wine. The staff are genuinely warm and welcoming — it truly feels like a lovely family-run business.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for authentic flavors and a heartfelt atmosphere.

09/01/2026: This is a small place that doesn't take reservations. A little paradise for celiacs. The cheeses are also available lactose-free, which I found wonderful! I tried the schiacciate tasting, which was truly delicious with local ingredients and sophisticated pairings. Highly recommended!
09/01/2026: I went here this summer with a friend to eat schiacciata and the platters: everything is gluten-free and really delicious, you can't tell the difference at all.
The schiacciata was excellent, maybe even a little too indulgent compared to what we usually try to eat 😄
The desserts are also excellent.
I highly recommend it and will definitely be back.
Today I just stopped by to take a few photos, but I couldn't stop.
The place is small, you can make reservations, but you can also eat inside.

16/03/2026: We ordered two takeout pizzas, a Margherita and a marinara with porcini mushrooms. The pizzas were really small, and the marinara only had mushrooms on a third of the pizza, and we spent €17!
I appreciate thin-crust pizzas, but these were really too small and poorly made. They'd be better off reviewing the prices or the quality of the product (I even took a photo, but they won't let me publish it).
27/02/2026: Very good pizza, especially for those who prefer thin crust. Quality ingredients. My only complaint is the excessive price: paying €10.50 for a Margherita pizza is truly unsustainable and unaffordable.
