29/09/2025: Just got back from one of the best lunch experiences so far in our trip to Italy. The food was really outstanding. The prices were very low for this part of the world and a really good value. The pizza was one of the best we’ve ever tasted, also the pasta was something I’ve never experienced before. Pici with Ragu. The real thing that made it special was that the staff were so authentic,kind,warm,and welcoming.

01/10/2025: “From Butcher Shop Straight to the Table – Unfortunately Without the Detour Through the grill” We chose this restaurant with great anticipation, after all, a butcher shop with a restaurant sounds like pure carnivore heaven! Unfortunately, the visit turned out to be more of a case study in how to scare off diners. The welcome? Well… if a distant, emotionless nod counts as “warm,” then yes, we instantly felt like old friends. The waiter gave off the vibe of someone who had a thousand places he’d rather be, and made sure we could feel that existential crisis in every interaction. Stressed, checked out, and about as interested in us as a cat is in salad. When ordering, the first surprise: the question of how we’d like our steak cooked was never asked. When I politely inquired if I could have it medium, the answer was: “We always do it our way.” Wow! Finally, a restaurant that relieves me of the heavy burden of having my own opinion. The result: a steak that was supposedly medium rare, but in my eyes was closer to still mooing. Presentation? Also a highlight. The prized Bistecca wasn’t placed in the middle of the table, but rather plonked down at the very edge, as if the waiter himself was embarrassed to serve it. Later, when he asked how it was and we explained it was far too raw for us, his reaction was a disinterested “ah”, delivered with the same enthusiasm as someone listening to a weather report. And then? He simply walked away. No concern, no offer, no nothing. Conclusion: If you’ve ever wanted to feel like an unwelcome guest at your own dinner, this is the place. Steak: top. Service: flop. Or to put it differently: in this butcher shop, it’s not just the meat that gets slaughtered.

12/09/2025: A colleague and I were in Sansepolcro for work. Looking for a quiet place to eat, we stumbled upon this typical Tuscan osteria. As soon as we entered, I was immediately struck by a beautiful drum kit—a musical instrument I play—which made me think the owner was a musician as well as a restaurateur, and I wasn't wrong. But let's not beat around the bush and talk about the place and the food instead. We were greeted by a very professional, kind, polite, and above all knowledgeable young woman who offered advice and clarification both during the selection process and when it came time to serve our dishes, clearing up any doubts and concerns. We sat on the outdoor veranda, as it was a beautiful day today, and ordered the menu, which you can easily find online. I won't list it here, but I want to tell you about what I ate! I had a mixed antipasto with delicacies from days gone by, a wonderful warm liver pâté on warm toasted bread, a panzanella like I hadn't had in a long time, not to mention a wonderful crostini with caramelized onions, as well as cold cuts and excellent cheeses. Then I ordered pici all'aglione, made with a sauce of green tomatoes and, of course, aglione, on which I was advised to grate some fresh Pienza pecorino, grind some pepper, and drizzle with a drizzle of Tuscan DOP olive oil! The pasta wasn't dry, but fresh pici with a fantastic consistency. They were perfect, perhaps—and I'm not exaggerating—the best pici all'aglione I've ever eaten! I want to compliment chef Batterista and his staff. Highly recommended.

28/09/2025: We visited this cozy restaurant this evening and, despite not having a reservation, received a very friendly and warm welcome. The food was excellent, the wine superb, and the service equally so. We were delighted and would definitely return. I'd also like to mention that our large dog was also warmly welcomed and was thoughtfully provided with a bowl of fresh water. We thank you very much and look forward to our next visit.

27/09/2025: The whole experience was absolutely wonderful. Very intimate setting with only four tables inside, it felt like being invited into a friend’s home and being treated to a multi-course dinner. We didn’t even see the menu prior to showing up nor upon our arrival, there was one tasting menu available and the dishes just kept coming. We did however receive a call from the restaurant a couple of hours before our reservation to ask about our dietary requirements and preferences. Everything was delicious and every dish was explained in detail by a kind and warm waiter who paired the wine with each dish perfectly. I still think about the pasta from Organika and I had a lot of pastas during our stay in Tuscany. We were late by 20 mins and experienced no animosity, we were welcomed with a smile. We even received a loaf of their delicious bread at the end because we mentioned how much we loved it. We really enjoyed the music as well. Truly one of the best dining experiences I have ever had.

03/09/2025: Everything was incredible — the food, the service, the ambience. We can’t wait to go back. AND Silvia is the best — a delight of a human AND she helped me figure out how to track down some wine I had at Organika once I got back to the states. Amazing.

04/09/2025: My wife and I stumbled upon this restaurant on a Google recommendation. It's not a large but well-maintained restaurant, with outdoor seating in the center of town. For starters, we had ricotta and spinach ravioli with butter and sage, and a cream of truffle and porcini mushrooms, both delicious. For main course, grilled chicken breast for two, with a side of lemon spinach and French fries. For dessert, we had tiramisu (homemade) and caramel panna cotta, water, and a Coke. Everything was truly well-cooked, combined with friendly and professional service, so there were no long waits despite the crowded restaurant. The bill, €50, proved to be a truly excellent value. Highly recommended!

12/10/2025: We chose this venue for my daughter's 18th birthday. It's a beautiful place, with a stunning atmosphere and view. The service was impeccable, and the owner, Lucio, was incredibly helpful and kind, both before and during the party. We also had a wonderful meal. We highly recommend it!

17/07/2025: Il ristorante era stato suggerito dall'Hotel Sangallo (stesso proprietario), con la promessa di uno sconto del 10%. Lo sconto non e' stato applicato e, nonostante lo abbia fatto notare, hanno rimosso l'argomento con qualche battuta ma tenedosi i 5 euro. Per antipasto ho ordinato delle melanzane ripiene con ricotta. Piatto insapore, ha preso un po' di forza solo dopo che ho aggiunto dell’olio di oliva. Senza lode e senza infamia. Il primo piatto aveva dei tagliolini non fatti in casa, mentre lo zafferano utilizzato risultava di scarsa qualità con un sapore molto acre. Le mandorle non erano fresche ma di taglio industriale. Prodotti comprati e assemblati. Pessima infine l’anatra che ho mandato subito indietro al cameriere: era impossibile tagliarla. E' stata purtroppo cotta e ricotta non so quante volte, fino a sembrare ormai bollita. Cotture completamente sbagliate. Nonostante che l’anatra sia stata mandata indietro interamente perché non commestibile, è stata ugualmente addebitata come si vede da ricevuta in allegato. Serata da dimenticare!

23/06/2025: In questa cittadina medievale ho potuto apprezzare il buon cibo in diversi ristoranti e pub ma in questo locale, bellissimo nel centro cittadino, , si respira tranquillità e si mangia veramente bene se ti fai consigliare dai gestori. Ottimo il pesce e ben condito, ottimi i primi e gli stuzzichini e una tagliata morbidissima e cotta al punto giusto. Con i vini ti puoi sbizzarrire e pure con i dessert. Il prezzo può sembrare un pò alto ma quando si mangia bene non guardi a dieci euro, se puoi.

26/07/2025: We ate there twice during our vacation. The appetizers and pizzas were delicious. The service was very friendly and attentive. Don't be put off by the fact that you're overlooking a parking lot. All in all, very good!

15/07/2025: Great casual atmosphere for an evening with friends or family. Pizza is as good as it used to be, neither thin nor thick. They have many types of pizza and flours (including whole wheat). IMPORTANT: They also have a gluten-free crust, but for an extra €4. They also have first and second courses. Fantastic location; when you leave, you can go for a walk in Villa Severi Park.
