28/11/2025: Terrible evening. Let's start with the fact that they managed to take a reservation made the day before, a 30-minute wait, a table snatched up so easily. Then, in 2025, the fact that there's no menu is already hilarious. I asked for a certain type of wine, but a completely different one arrived, without a seau a glace due to one of the waitresses' many oversights. The food was average, nothing exceptional. Then, at the end of the dinner, I asked for dessert and coffee. We decided to think about it for two minutes, and the waitress disappeared into thin air after a whopping 40 minutes. I'll definitely speak badly of it to anyone who asks me for advice. Sorry.

05/12/2025: I'll DEFINITELY be back! Very friendly, the place is nice and welcoming, but ABOVE ALL... the food, which is what you go to a restaurant for... everything is truly top-notch. The pecorino fondue (cooked cheese on the menu), the platters, and then the homemade pasta, incredibly fresh with various toppings. Then the main courses, some very traditional and distinctive... Everything is truly mouth-watering! Even the desserts were fantastic, and unfortunately for me, as a diabetic, I couldn't indulge there, although I did have a panna cotta without jam or chocolate, and it was delicious. If I really had to find something that could be improved (hard, very hard, honestly), it could be maybe even just one variation of fresh pasta, but whole wheat, and a dessert made with stevia instead of sugar (which in some cases turns out great and has a zero glycemic index, like panna cotta... or an apple pie, again with stevia and Granny Smith apples). I understand that it's not easy to please both celiacs and diabetics (who are basically opposites; celiacs can't eat gluten, while diabetics are happy with it), but this is just a suggestion, because everything was more than excellent! To finish, an excellent bottle of cherry red wine... very fragrant. Thanks again, this place deserves all 5 stars. See you soon!

03/09/2025: We had a wonderful time at the Dirty Rat. The service was exceptional; everyone was helpful, and we had a wonderful connection with everyone. The interior was very impressive, with beautiful designer lamps and lovely paintings. I spent a lot of time looking around. The dishes and desserts were consistently delicious, created and presented with surprising and distinctive flavors. The wine was the perfect finishing touch. I look back on our evening with a smile on my face. Thank you so much!

02/09/2025: Lovely joint with both Tuscan and a few American/Mexican style dishes. The zucchini flowers were lovely and the pici as well. The staff spoke good English, compared to other establishments in the area.

19/09/2025: Great location in Piazza della Cisterna. Delicious sandwiches that were sufficiently huge with wonderful bread and they were not overpriced. Service was quick. Inside is not large but we had room for our group of 10.

17/09/2025: I tried the focaccia 'il timido', which fully met my expectations. The staff at the counter were friendly, helpful, and had that touch of attentiveness that makes you feel welcome. If you're in the area and looking for something quick but made with care and quality ingredients, stop by.

02/11/2025: Typical restaurant serving Livorno cuisine. Nothing to criticize about the food, which is truly good. However, one thing to note is the table set like a pizzeria, with paper placemats and napkins. The restaurant prices are above average, and the downside is that there is no POS.

05/12/2025: Calm atmosphere and a nice place to relax, drink tea, and enjoy a dessert! (And more! Brunch, aperitif) The service is truly excellent, and the entire staff is super friendly. I just recommend reserving a table, especially on weekends, because you might not get a seat, haha ​​(but you don't have to wait long for a spot, either). We'll be back here more often! 25/11/2025: We highly recommend this restaurant. The ingredients are top-quality, Marco is incredibly kind, and the chef is amazing, reinterpreting and innovating the best traditional Tuscan and Umbrian dishes. We had the garlic pastrignocchi, the calamari, and the amberjack. Everything was delicious. For dessert, we had the banana shortcrust pastry and the sage-scented stuffed apple. Delicious and a little surprising.

03/11/2025: A truly pleasant surprise, generous dishes served by excellent waiters. The dishes were plentiful and well-served, and the wine was excellent and reasonably priced. I recommend it and will be back soon.

07/09/2025: We had dinner at La Mandragola and it was outstanding. The food was absolutely delicious, matched only by the exceptional service. The setting in the courtyard is warm and comfortable, making the whole experience feel special. A memorable spot in San Gimignano that I’d happily return to.
