30/09/2025: A true inn, perhaps the best business lunch in the Lucca area. Penne all'arrabbiata, roast beef, and a special mention for the sautéed vegetables. A convivial and authentic inn atmosphere, with more than fair prices. Excellent value!

20/09/2025: What can I say... when I'm in the area, I love going there. Authentic home cooking, excellent, and it brings back culinary memories. Generous portions and reasonable prices. The place is traditional, so it might seem dated or, if you look at it from a vintage perspective, it evokes the places of yesteryear.

05/10/2025: Portions are very tiny, Pork ribs are kid size, potatoes are reheated in microwave, (could hear them reheating and see from our table) pasta was also the worst we had in Tuscany. two meals and still water equalled 55 euro. super expensive for a microwave meal.

24/09/2025: A true Alpine refuge, yet meticulously maintained, with an exceptional view. The terrace is lovely, perfect for enjoying cocktails while admiring the view. The restaurant is very good and plentiful; they even let you have seconds on the set menu, so you don't waste anything. The house wine is also good. Overall, everything was perfect.

10/09/2025: The place is truly beautiful, well-kept, immaculately maintained, and very captivating. As for the young, attentive, and friendly staff, the only negative was the portions. There were ten of us and only two trays, which weren't large enough for everyone, so we had to ask for more. The dessert was also meager, all little pieces of different sizes. We had asked for the €30 menu, and I have to say that it's truly unusual to not include water, but we already knew that. The food was good, nothing to complain about.

14/09/2025: It's the perfect place to eat game, mushrooms, and more. Among the first courses, I recommend the amberjack pasta made with chestnut flour and seasoned with your choice of sauce. I chose mushrooms, which was very good. A second course presented in an original way is the grilled wild boar and pork skewer. Try it. The location is obviously rustic, surrounded by greenery, but I found the walls covered with the heads of stuffed wild boar, deer, and pheasants that sacrificed themselves to grace the tables to be somewhat questionable. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the prices are definitely fair.

29/09/2025: We arrived by motorbike in August. It was quiet and relaxing, and we ate wonderfully! The mountain view is priceless.

26/09/2025: Had a meal here while cycling the Via Francigena. Nice outdoor seating with beautiful views of the valley. Pasta dishes were excellent, salad was very good, everything else okay. Had a good meal and would happily eat again.

30/08/2025: A chance discovery, a wonderful discovery. The restaurant has a modern, simple yet sophisticated feel, starting with the water glass. The menu is simple yet exemplary, with dishes that showcase the ingredients, truly fabulous. It's clear that nothing is left to chance in this restaurant. The service is excellent, comprehensive, and satisfying, with obsessive customer service. Henri is exquisite, and the other staff are equally talented. Thank you to everyone at Henri for giving me two wonderful dinners that I WILL RETURN. I'll have another opportunity; you've become a point of reference for me, not just in Viareggio, but throughout Versilia.

13/10/2025: We were completely satisfied – everything was top-notch! The pizza was delicious, and the pasta with truffle sauce was simply outstanding. The only thing was that the bench was a bit uncomfortable; the seating was a bit too straight. Otherwise, we can highly recommend this restaurant!

01/10/2025: We stayed at Villa Preselle for our honeymoon in early September, and despite the weather being unpredictable for a brief time, it was absolutely perfect! The view is splendid, typically Tuscan, and creates a magical atmosphere. The villa's restaurant is excellent, with delicious and refined dishes. We would especially like to thank the waitress who looked after us: she was lovely, friendly, and very patient with our somewhat broken Italian. A huge thank you to all the staff at Villa Preselle for their warm welcome and professionalism. This stay will remain an unforgettable memory. We recommend it without hesitation!

We stayed here last year in August 2024 for our second wedding anniversary and had the best holiday experience ever. The standards were perfection and everything from the buffet breakfast to the cleanliness of the rooms which were daily cleaned by the staff, it was just nothing but exceptional. Andrea the owner has created a magical place where relaxation meets genuine Italian culture. We returned this year in September 2025 and were greeted warmly by the lovely receptionist, Paula. We brought our 2 friends along with us and stayed in apartment 7 which overlooked the pool and Tuscan olive fields - villa preselle also grow and farm their own olive oil. Nothing was ever too much to ask for and we always felt like we could ask the staff for recommendations on where to go to nearby. The menu is fantastic with lots to choose from and not to mention the aperol and Hugo spritz by the pool 👌🏼 this is one of those places that we will never get tired of going too and we hope to one day start a family of our own and bring on holidays to meet our villa preselle family ❤️ My recommendation to anyone that books here is to: - hire a car. It’s very helpful getting around Grosseto and we had a day trip to Siena. - visit Pienza in Val de Orcia which is were the house from the iconic Gladiator movie with Russell Crowe is made - have pizza in Pizzeria Lan Vigna. Papa Gianni and Mama Luisa have been making pizzas from their home for 40years. Papa Gianni makes all of the pizzas whilst his children and grandchildren are the waiters. Such a friendly and wonderful Italian experience and the pizza is just INCREDIBLE THANK YOU VILLA PRESELLE FOR THE MOST AMAZING HOLIDAYS. We will be back soon 🫶🏼💕
