25/08/2025: TERRIBLE, STAY AWAY. Let me start by saying that the positive reviews were probably written by friends/relatives, because otherwise I can't explain it. My partner and I were in Gallipoli and decided to dine there because it's conveniently located, but unfortunately, we didn't read the reviews first. Luckily, we only ordered two pizzas (avoiding possible food poisoning). After 10 minutes, the "pizzas" arrived, and we were shocked: two marble-like piadinas with watery sauce on top. Comparing them to the frozen ones from the supermarket is a great compliment. Having closed the food topic, I have to mention the promoter stationed outside trying to attract customers: he's intrusive to say the least, and above all, fake, as he stands in the middle of the street approaching passersby and selling them his "fantastic" cuisine. The only positive note is the young people serving tables, who are very kind; as soon as we arrived with our dog, they immediately brought us a bowl of water without even asking. To conclude this outrage, we paid the bill at a pseudo-cash register with a hostile and, to say the least, uninterested owner, adding insult to injury.

08/09/2025: Quiet place! Friendly and friendly owners, it feels like home on vacation! Excellent food. Top-quality meat! The horse meat is TOP! The best in Salento so far... Overall rating: EXCELLENT

02/09/2025: Horse meat, hands down the best I've ever had: arrosticini, diaphragm, rib eye, meatballs. A unique experience, fair prices, and the owners are incredibly kind. Plus, which doesn't hurt, you eat in the little square, and I have to say, the beauty of the surrounding scenery almost made it feel like you were in a movie. Thank you! See you soon.

28/07/2025: Serviert was versprochen. Bar in angenehmer gemütlicher Lage, nahe des Zentrums. Kleine Snacks gratis erhalten (Chips, Tortillas, Tarelli). Alles ok.

26/05/2025: TURISTAS CUIDADO! No vayas aquí. Pedimos lo que estaba en exhibición, un tablero de aperitivos. Cuando llegó no parecía la pantalla. Estaba lleno de pan en lugar de carnes y quesos. A 25€ fue una estafa. La copa de vino era un vertido muy pequeño. Cometimos el error de no leer comentarios antes de ir. Pasamos y estaba lleno de gente local. El vino sirve y las tablas de aperitivos se veían bien. Engañan a los turistas. ¡VETE A OTRA PARTE!

25/08/2025: "Negative review: IL COVO DELLA TARANTA - Galatina (LE) I don't recommend this restaurant because of their reservation management. I made a reservation online through Quandoo and received a confirmation, but when I arrived, the staff denied the reservation and said they had no seats available. The service was terrible, and I won't repeat the experience."

20/08/2025: The pizza is inedible. Not only cold, but clearly old. And it's unacceptable: the order was placed 40 minutes before delivery, the delivery driver took just 10 minutes, and the platform tracks their movements. It's therefore impossible for this pizza to have been made fresh. Deliveries like this suggest recycling leftovers. If you truly believe it's acceptable to send customers a product in this condition, I'd like to see if you'd have the courage to eat it yourself.

01/05/2025: Trovata molta attenzione per servire piatti vegani. Non come quei luoghi che lo scrivono “ opzioni vegane” e poi storcono il muso quando gli chiedi qualcosa senza derivati. Antipasto buono e vario. Primo abbondante e saporito. Luogo bellissimo. Tranquillo. Immerso nella pace. Non rumoroso. Mangiato davvero bene e soprattutto cucina tipica. Genuina.

21/04/2025: Siamo venuti in data 21/04/2025 a pranzo in questa struttura la quale conoscevamo già essendo clienti da tempo. Purtroppo e ripeto purtroppo è stata un’esperienza pessima determinata da numerosi errori da parte di tutto lo staff. - bicchiere sporco di rossetto - coltello sporco - gli antipasti lasciano a desiderare ( fritti troppo cotti, cozze gratinate insapore, insalata di mare? Il 60% è composto da verdurine , il resto degli antipasti ok. Ordinati 2 tris carne composti da ( salsiccia , bistecchina di maiale e spiedino di maiale) , una pasta con crema di patate, una salsiccia e un cavallo. Ore 14.00 arrivano i due tris con carne bruciata , al posto dello spiedino di maiale , quello di fegato e solo quando arrivano al tavolo ci riferiscono se andasse bene anche così altrimenti l’avrebbero cambiato. ( secondo me andava chiesto precedentemente). Ore 14.20 arriva la salsiccia Ore 14.35 arriva il primo Ore 14.50 arriva il cavallo ( duro d’altronde) 50 minuti per 4 portate che sarebbero dovute arrivare tutte assieme. Ripeto, mi dispiace perché in questo posto ci veniamo da anni e ci siamo trovati sempre bene. Spero sia stato solo un caso e che possano ritornare performanti come lo erano già.

10/01/2025: Occorre prenotare, altrimenti si deve aspettare fuori dal locale. Ambiente piccolo, con tavoli molto ravvicinati. Servizio attento e pizza/pietanze gradevoli. Prezzi onesti, vista la collocazione sul lungomare di Otranto, nelle vicinanze del centro storico. Rilasciato solo preconto (documento non fiscale)

01/06/2025: Posto molto carino, a ridosso della costa, con un tramonto spettacolare peccato che il servizio e il cibo siano da rivedere totalmente: una serata complicata, servizio lentissimo e pizza arrivata alle 21.30 dopo circa un'ora dall'ordinazione, nel locale co saranno stati occupati si e no 6 tavoli, arrivate le pizze erano sbagliate quindi altro tempo di attesa che si è accumulato al precedente. Le scuse della gentilissima cameriera accettate ma va rivisto il tutto, peccato davvero!

11/10/2024: Needed a quick stop for a sandwich and a salad, and found this place brought along the waterfront. Everything was fine. The food was good. The beer was cold. The only problem I know that they cannot control all the stinking flies.

09/10/2024: Great location, terrible food. We had two chicken salads - and even that simplest of dish was off. Chicken tasted dry and double fried, watery salad felt straight out a supermarket bag. One of those places that seemingly don’t put any effort on what they serve you.

03/09/2025: I bought 4 takeaway pizzas, 3 Margheritas and a bufalina, I spent 34 euros. When she gave me the bill, the lady immediately said that they were big to justify the exaggerated price (I think) even if I didn't open my mouth anyway, calling them a plate pizza is an insult to the pizzas, the dough is heavy, indigestible, tasteless, don't go there, I recommend it at least for the pizzas.

02/09/2025: It's not a pizza! Toasted bread... you absolutely can't roll out pizza with a rolling pin! Not recommended for the quality of the pizza, friendly waiters.

08/09/2025: The place is quite remote but close to the beach, but the place is very average and not very clean. The food is homemade and very good, but when we paid, they charged us whatever they wanted. There's no price list and they don't even give you a receipt or anything. The staff was friendly, but I think they just gave us a hard time because we were tourists and we didn't speak the language. I don't recommend it at all, or ask the prices before starting to eat.

07/09/2025: The bar seemed nice, and we ordered a sharing menu. This was questioned several times, and we confirmed it. We received the primi in a small portion, followed by a large plate of secundi. In the end, he charged us for two full menus, even though we only had one and had only ordered one. We felt ripped off!

21/04/2025: Leckeres preiswertes Essen ,sehr freundlicher Service in einem kleinen Örtchen in der Nähe von Lecce. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt.

04/09/2025: We recently had lunch at the lido. The staff was kind and attentive. As I usually do, before sitting down, I asked the gentleman at the cashier, and he told me to ask the waitress, who kindly showed us to our table. We had a salmon salad and two salmon sandwiches. The sandwiches, in my opinion, could use a bit more polish, which is why I'm giving them four stars instead of five. The prices are in line with what I usually pay in my hometown; I only paid one euro for the cover charge. We'll definitely be back.

03/09/2025: Front row: €70 for three lounge chairs and an umbrella. Second row: €50, third row: €35. The place is nice, but it's worth renting an umbrella; the public beach is always crowded. I've been coming here for a few years... Cala Marin offers a bar and hot food.
