11/10/2025: It would be nice to provide a more detailed receipt because the set menu isn't very clear... I translate: 30 euros, or rather 29 euros, could be for 3 covers, 2 waters, half a liter of red wine, and 3 coffees, one of which was sparkling? I'm not including the appetizers and fried food because that sum was reasonable. We'll be back, but a breakdown of the costs would be appreciated.

31/08/2025: We were here for lunch recommended by a friend, what can I say, a very welcoming and beautiful place. There are 3 rooms, one yellow, one red, and a new one all in beautiful antique wood. Let's move on to the food, we took a tasting menu, not the usual tasting. For me, a complete lunch was the tartare and the veal with tuna sauce. What can I say, spectacular. Another hot appetizer, a basil flan, followed by 2 delicious first courses: lasagna with porcini mushrooms, gnocchi with nettles, rabbit steak, dessert, zabaglione. And what can I say about the wine? A delicious Crivelli ruche. What can I say? Go, impeccable service, everyone is very kind.

11/10/2025: A dinner with light and shade at this restaurant. The atmosphere is pleasant, and the service was courteous and attentive, which is already a good start. However, the dinner was a mixed experience: some dishes were truly successful and offered balanced and interesting flavors, while others left us a bit perplexed. The problem wasn't personal taste, but rather the lack of clarity in communicating the ingredients and the logic behind the dishes. In a restaurant of this caliber, one expects a more complete experience, one that encompasses not just technique and flavors, but also narrative and a coherent approach. While I enjoyed some aspects of the dinner, I believe there is considerable room for improvement. I hope the restaurant can work on communication and consistency of the dishes to offer a more engaging and understandable experience. I will gladly return to see if they've improved.

10/10/2025: The overcrowded kitchen. Chefs and commissars step on each other's toes. Service with a very talented Manager who is left to her own devices. There are only the ArchiChefs, but the front of house staff isn't given the proper weight. They don't understand that by doing this, they're losing customer attention and most likely a portion of the operating margin due to lower revenues!

30/09/2025: A beautiful place, reachable with a very easy walk along the path through the woods or, even easier, following the road. The polenta tasting menu is excellent and truly generous.

30/09/2025: Wonderful tasting menu. The photos show portions for 5 people, and the €25 price includes dessert and service charge, excluding drinks. Excellent food and perfect portions. Friendly staff, even when the refuge was packed.

28/09/2025: The best burger in Turin! We go there every now and then with friends and it never disappoints. The service may be a little slow, but the wait is well worth it ☺️

21/10/2025: Truly forgettable service. I asked for salt, a very kind waitress brought it to me, and the waiter came to take it away while I was still eating. Did he think I was finished? Or maybe they only had one and he needed it more than I did! Anyway, all he had to do was ask! Furthermore, we ordered four different dishes, and the dishes arrived in random order: everyone ate separately. They couldn't coordinate the service for a single table of four. It's a shame; the organization and management of the service completely ruined the experience. I've never seen such a chaotic organization. I should point out that I love animals; I have two dogs, but being surrounded by three tables with dogs barking at each other nonstop was truly annoying! We won't be back; it wasn't a positive experience! We've had much better meals elsewhere!

15/10/2025: We dined there two evenings as guests of the hotel above. Traditional menus with some reinterpretations, spacious and modular dining room, large and well-spaced tables, friendly and professional staff. Recommended.

23/09/2025: A delicious mushroom feast in mid-September. The staff were attentive and friendly.

23/09/2025: Tried it on the evening of September 19, 2025. The restaurant is located in the quaint little village of Champlas Janvier, in the former stables of a beautifully renovated chalet. The interior is very welcoming and tasteful. The owner welcomed us with great courtesy and friendliness. After a complimentary aperitif, we had appetizers of raw meat carpaccio and a salad of celery, walnuts, and parmesan shavings. Everything was excellent. We continued with superb homemade cheese gnocchi and a seasonal soup. For dessert, a chestnut parfait was also excellent. We left very satisfied. We will definitely return to try other dishes in such a comfortable setting.

05/10/2025: I had dinner there the night before last with my family and I have to say good things about this place. The food was very good, obviously meat-based, and very tasty and well-prepared. The service was very good, and the atmosphere, although small, was quite nice. The only two negatives, unfortunately, are the parking—there's only 3 spaces inside the courtyard, and it's a matter of luck on the street—and the restrooms, which are outside and not very adequate for a restaurant. The quality/price ratio is adequate, and I'll definitely be back.

03/10/2025: We went last night to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The food was excellent, top-quality. We tried a little bit of everything and it was all very satisfying. The service was excellent, we will definitely be back.

08/10/2025: While I never give five stars to my first meal, I found this restaurant to be a very pleasant surprise. The location is beautifully renovated, the service is prompt, courteous, and with a touch of humanity that never hurts, and the cuisine is excellent and reasonably priced. The wine list emphasizes local products. Highly recommended.

22/09/2025: The best choice I could have made for an anniversary dinner. An intimate venue, meticulously maintained and clean down to the smallest detail. Excellent quality ingredients for tasty and satisfying dishes. Extraordinarily friendly staff. A magical evening, thank you. We'll be back for the view, because yesterday, between darkness and rain, it was the only thing we couldn't enjoy.

The restaurant is located in the heart of Turin, in an elegant and welcoming setting, perfect for a special occasion. The traditional Piedmontese cuisine is simply extraordinary: carefully prepared dishes, quality ingredients, and authentic flavors that reflect the local tradition. The service was impeccable, attentive and friendly, always with a smile. Each course arrived on time and beautifully presented. The warm and refined atmosphere made the evening even more unforgettable. I recommend La Badessa to anyone who wants to experience authentic Piedmontese cuisine in the heart of Turin. A place truly deserving of 5 stars ❤️

11/10/2025: We recently went there with my family and I highly recommend it. The menu doesn't offer a wide selection, but we decided to try a little bit of everything, and it was all truly excellent. The dishes are incredibly flavorful, and you can immediately tell the ingredients are homemade. Add to this the friendliness of the waiter, and most importantly, the incredibly competitive price (we paid about €15 per person).

The atmosphere is welcoming, with attention to detail, and immediately puts you at ease. The quality of the food is excellent, beautifully presented and rich in flavor: you can taste the attention and passion behind every course. Special thanks go to our waiter Alessandro, who with professionalism, courtesy, and a constant smile looked after us throughout the evening, making our experience even more enjoyable. We will definitely return and recommend it to anyone looking for a special evening in a restaurant that combines quality and impeccable service.

22/09/2025: Finally a place, modern, where you can feel the savoir faire of the past. Bright, well heated and it is not an insignificant detail, because eating in the cold is unbearable, unless you are a ruminant, tables well spaced and spacious, furnished with elegant simplicity, cotton tablecloths and napkins and well ironed. Attentive, fast and courteous service. The cuisine is Piedmontese inspired, light and with quality products. Really good prices at lunchtime. In the evening they are slightly adjusted The clientele is not noisy, although intent on chatting. Polite and suitable for the place. In the evening there is an excellent tasting menu proposal: two appetizers, two first courses, a second course and a dessert. The waiter said that the portions would have been a little smaller. In my opinion they were abundant. The quality-price ratio is excellent. I didn't give 4 stars to the environment, because it clearly has no view or garden. Highly recommended. I suggest arriving at noon or booking, because from 1 pm onwards it fills up.
