15/01/2026: Excellent Working lunch Aperitif

11/12/2025: I had the classic cappuccino (€1.50) with a jam croissant (€1.50). It was the saddest cappuccino I've had in the last 10 years, very pale, not even hot, as I had asked for. I'd suggest replacing the toilet seat. Newspapers are available to read.

04/03/2026: We discovered it a few years ago, and it's become a regular stop every time we pass through Cuneo. This butcher/deli is heaven for meat lovers and especially for celiacs. The deli delicacies in the entire deli section are completely gluten-free, including the brioche, breadsticks, and bread. ❗️Today we also bought some amazing apple fritters, also gluten-free. 👏🏻 For us, stopping for lunch is a must, before filling the cooler. 😋 There's also an excellent selection of wines, to pair with their menu items or to take home to enjoy in good company. 🍷🍾 Be careful on Wednesdays, that's their closing day!

15/01/2026: It's a specialized shop for celiac disease sufferers. I often go there to shop for my daughter. I recommend it.

12/04/2025: This restaurant was a godsend for us: delicious food at fair prices and very friendly staff. The meat-filled agnolotti was accompanied by a full-bodied Dolcetto Dogliani from Poderi Luigi Einaudi. And then there was the wine selection... heavenly!

02/12/2025: On November 28th, we went for dinner. The bagna cauda was good, but the risottos were flavorless and cold (they later reheated them). The bottle of Nebbiolo was frozen. The temperature in the restaurant must have been 15°C (59°F). It was really cold. We mentioned this to the staff, who told us that due to heat loss, they couldn't heat it any more. Eating in the cold is unpleasant. We definitely won't be returning.

24/11/2025: Very nice place that makes everyone feel at ease. The guys in the kitchen and in the dining room are very kind and friendly. The food and drink are also good!!! What else?

21/10/2025: Baia Monte Gelas has become a regular stop every time I visit this area. I'm grateful for the kindness, patience, and helpfulness of the owners, including the legendary Renzo, who always patiently accommodated my every request. The polenta is excellent, with the option of a quasi-all-you-can-eat menu if the entire table opts for the €24 menu with various sauce samples. The restrooms and restaurant are always clean and impeccable. The desserts are also excellent. Advance reservations are highly recommended, especially since you might not be able to find a table at the last minute.

30/12/2025: The pizza, thin and crispy, is very good. Unfortunately, we had to wait an hour for our drinks and an hour and a half for the food. The atmosphere is very noisy, but perhaps we were just unlucky in booking on a night when something wasn't working properly. It's a shame about the experience, because the food would have made another visit worthwhile.

17/01/2026: We only had New Year's Eve dinner, and I have to say it was a perfect evening. The place was obviously packed, but the service was fast and attentive. The girls were always available and smiling. The food was excellent and varied. At the end, since we wanted to go to the square for midnight and not spend it at the restaurant, a very kind lady gave us a bottle of sparkling wine before we left. These things make all the difference.

13/01/2026: We celebrated New Year's Eve at the hotel, only for dinner on New Year's Eve 2025. The dinner was not good at all. The price was good for New Year's Eve, and the quality/price ratio was poor. I wouldn't recommend it for New Year's Eve. Only the food.

01/12/2025: I asked over the phone if there was a work menu and they said yes, at 13 euros. I'll eat and go, and pay 20 euros. That said.

02/01/2026: The atmosphere is a bit vintage, but the quality and, above all, the hospitality and kindness of the owners and staff make everything else last. Their wines are also excellent.

02/01/2026: The restaurant's interior is a bit old-fashioned, but the waitress was very friendly. They even had gluten-free breadsticks. The food, however, wasn't great. I highly recommend the braised beef because it wasn't braised; the meat was decidedly tough and left us with a hard stomach. The sausages were better, but still mediocre. Let's just say it's pretty low on the list of Piedmontese restaurants I've been to.

01/03/2026: Watery pizza and unacceptable value for money, waiters who smoke inside the restaurant and an inexperienced pizza chef

22/11/2025: I discovered this place in an emergency situation, as I was in Monforte, but no one else had a table for one. I called the restaurant and they told me there was room. Upon entering, the restaurant is small but charming, and there's also an upstairs. I ordered: burrata with black truffle (an explosion of flavors, impeccable); tajarin with truffle (classic, but with an amazing flavor, especially the truffles); beef braised in Barolo with puree (a generous dish, delicious); green salad, dessert, and coffee. The service was impeccable, the dishes were gorgeous and well-portioned. In total, I spent about 50 euros. The location is excellent, as the restaurant is located at the foot of the Church of the Madonna della Neve. I'll definitely be back!

15/02/2026: 2 spritzes! With appetizers that I think were 3 days old! The cold cuts on top of the focaccia were brown.... For goodness sake, a terrible choice.

04/01/2026: What a shame! We love Venchi’s products and love hanging out at and shop from Cuba. The service is great and attentive, and the products are exceptional. Sadly this time we got a dud. We thought of gifting a curated box of chocaviar. Our host shared the box with everyone and we were mortified to discover that though the box was labeled as best before next November, the chocolates were hard and stale. Not the impression we were aiming to leave on our host. We will definitely shop at Cuba again and keep promoting Venchi’s chocolates to our friends, but this experience sure left a bitter taste.

27/02/2026: The ambiance is charming and very distinctive thanks to the architecture and decor. There's a wide selection of sweet and savory crepes, and some unusual but delicious combinations. The owner is very kind and friendly, helping to create a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere. Highly recommended.

14/02/2026: This place was recently recommended to me for their crepes, and I have to say they are HUGE and very good (the price is reasonable given the size and the combinations). There was a small hiccup, but the very friendly service resolved the situation perfectly. I highly recommend this place for anyone who loves this specialty. I'll be back to try other crepe flavors to see if I can give it a fifth star. As I said, it's highly recommended for crepe lovers.

23/12/2025: Visiting Cuneo for the Christmas markets, we looked for a quiet restaurant with good food. The menu on display immediately made our mouths water, so we went in. Greeted with courtesy and politeness, we sat down in a warm and welcoming room. The food was excellent, carefully crafted, and delicious; the panko-fried anchovies were out of this world, and the carbonara was superb. Service was quick, and the staff was absolutely discreet and friendly. We had a wonderful time. Thank you.
