18/08/2025: Good morning, today, my mom and I visited this restaurant for the second time in Serralunga d'Alba. The first time was for a quick coffee, but today, after visiting the castle, I really wanted to go. It's hard not to eat well in Piedmont, but today I was proved right with other dishes I tried at this restaurant. Before entering the streets leading to the castle, we found this restaurant. I immediately loved the hospitality and the simplicity of the dishes—in this case, the traditional approach—with which they prepared everything. We started with an exceptional and beautifully presented Fassona beef appetizer, followed by rabbit as a main course, served with potatoes and steamed vegetables. Finally, we finished with an exceptional hazelnut cake served with vanilla ice cream, all accompanied, of course, by a delicious 2021 Barbaresco. A top-notch lunch at a good price considering the general price increases, but above all, I want to emphasize the friendliness, professionalism, and helpfulness—things that can't be taken for granted these days. We have a small dog, and they kindly brought us water on a very hot day. At the back of the restaurant, we have a beautiful terrace overlooking the Langhe. I highly recommend this place and hope it stays open, since from what I understand, it will be closed due to internal issues. I hope they resolve the situation and that this restaurant, which for me is a symbol of tradition and good Piedmontese cuisine in Serralunga d'Alba, remains open. 24/09/2025: We were on a Sunday motorcycle trip and decided to grab a bite to eat at this cute place. We ordered ravioli del plin with butter and sage. The dish was very poor and practically unseasoned, the worst I've ever eaten! The grilled vegetables were good, and the wine was good! We spent a lot for what we ate! My friend went to the restroom, and when she started, the restroom was dirty, with no toilet paper or soap.

14/07/2025: We stumbled upon this place by chance, and I must say the staff welcomed us right away, even though we hadn't booked. We ordered pizza and desserts, and everything was delicious. I recommend anyone in the area to try it. See you soon.

27/08/2025: This accommodation offers apartments and rooms. We had a very well-appointed duplex apartment. The view was splendid. Quiet. Excellent bed. Fully equipped kitchen. It's located in a perfectly renovated building in an ancient village. Possible excursions starting directly from the property. Friendly and responsive staff. The restaurant was also good, although we expected something more, but it was still decent. The road up is quite winding and has a few potholes.

22/08/2025: Special Silence is the main ingredient, followed by the fantastic location overlooking the valleys, close to the Cyclamen Trail; a wonderful stopover, an exclusive stay. The property is very well managed, both in terms of the rooms/apartments and the common areas, from the pool to the restaurant; this, in addition to the friendliness, helpfulness, and discretion of the entire staff.

04/02/2026: Excessively expensive, ordered 2 simple Aperol spritz without anything to eat and paid 16 euros, but received a receipt of 6 euros!

24/01/2026: The pizza had the consistency of bubblegum, and I didn't know if I'd gone to a pizzeria or a tire shop. I'm old, and I was scared, thinking I was at the mechanic's and hallucinating I was eating a tire. Here, we go from Michelin-starred cuisine to Michelin tires. I'll come back when I get dementia. 👴🏻

01/03/2026: We have stayed at the Castello twice and both times were amazed by the level of service and the quality of the food. Even in the Barolo region where restaurants are held to a very high standard Denise’s menu is a cut above. All these rhapsodic reviews from seasoned travelers are well deserved. I look forward to a third visit.

From curated daily itineraries to seamless reservations and thoughtful recommendations, everything flowed effortlessly. It made our trip feel not just relaxing, but expertly crafted. And then—the dinner. Truly world-class. The kind of meal that makes you pause mid-bite, look around the table, and silently agree that you’ll be talking about this night for years. Every dish showcased local ingredients, deep knowledge, and a chef's touch that borders on magic. One of the highlights of our entire trip was the pasta-making class hosted by Denise herself. It was fun, hands-on, charmingly educational, and absolutely delicious. Denise has an incredible gift for teaching and making everyone feel like part of something special. We didn’t just learn how to make pasta — we created one of the happiest memories of our journey. If you're considering a stay at Castello di Sinio, don't hesitate. It’s rare to find a place where hospitality, warmth, expertise, and true passion come together so naturally. Denise and her staff have built something remarkable, and we are already dreaming of our next visit.

09/01/2026: If you're looking for cleanliness and good Piedmontese cuisine, you're in the right place, but don't expect anything else, nor any form of welcome according to the minimum standards of good manners, even before hospitality. At the reception, and for any of your problems, as well as for the throwing of food onto your plate—a surprise throw because there's no menu and no one tells you about it (a shame, the dishes are delicious and the cook is exceptional), no one will ask you if you'd like wine and what kind, and for all your requests to the reception "staff," you'll encounter rudeness if not impoliteness: are you cold in your room? Cover up. A great shame, because the female staff is incredibly skilled and competent. Knowing how to do a job well and with care isn't something everyone can do, but for guests to pay the price for these poor management decisions, I find it crazy and counterproductive for the facility. Since price lists don't exist, prices are subject to strange fluctuations, especially if you don't need a receipt or invoice.

06/07/2025: Sono arrivato, ed erano già presenti delle persone e se dopo 5 minuti non chiamavo avremmo dovuto aspettare ancora.... e sinceramente non mi sembra il caso anche perché il locale non era pieno né all' esterno e né all' interno e una persona all' esterno se ne anche andata.....
