Don't think about the amount of the check, think about the fact that you will get a gastronomic orgasm. Exquisite interior design of the restaurant. The kitchen is behind a transparent wall, and you have the opportunity to observe the culinary art on the verge of magic, which is created by the cooks, led by the chef with a truly Italian temperament. Wonderful waiters Achille and Victoria (speaks Ukrainian, which was a salvation for us 😂). Their care and attentiveness are at the highest level. The owner of the restaurant is always present in the hall, who personally controls each dish and customer service. We didn't have time to take photos of the dishes, because they were so delicious and ran out very quickly 😂😂😂 The best tiramisu in Italy. The smoked spaghetti 🍝 is great. The risotto melts in your mouth. The sorbet is amazing.

03/08/2025: Me and my girlfriend arrived late evening on a Sunday and found this pearl! They stayed open when we arrived, the last dinner guest had already left. Best food so far on our trip in Italy. The balsamico meat was amazing and so tender! Also amazing service!!! Our waiter was so kind and made the whole experience a 10/10. 28/08/2025: An extraordinary family-run restaurant with young, competent waiters. Meat is cooked to a very professional standard, something few in the valley do. I love that, from the outside, it looks just as it did when it opened. It's a place for lovers of good food, quality wine, and impeccable service. Adequately priced.

22/08/2025: I've been to the waterfall twice in three days, and the experience has been very positive. The menu is original: a wide selection of meats and cheeses of all kinds, with the option of trying exotic cuts like zebra, reindeer, bison, and kangaroo. Before the meat, a selection of seven special salts is served, each with its own distinctive flavor—from smoked to lemon to Atlantic grey—making the tasting even more interesting. The side dishes were carefully selected and of excellent quality. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, ready to explain the various cuts in detail. Even the desserts, although smaller in selection than the rest of the menu, were of a good standard. The variety of coffee blends available was also very interesting. In terms of organization, service times were reasonable: about 30 minutes when the restaurant was full and about 10 minutes at quieter times. The restaurant seats about fifty, so it's best to book in advance. All at a very competitive price considering the quality and experience offered. A place that won me over and that I will recommend to anyone who happens to be in the area.

27/07/2025: Claudio and his lovely wife are excellent, the fish is top-notch. Their friendliness is certainly not comparable to that of some starred restaurants with a snobbish attitude (which would be better off losing). It's over!!! I rarely write reviews, but they truly deserve it!

26/07/2025: A small but well-organized and well-stocked restaurant. We went for dinner and I have to say we enjoyed everything except the seafood carbonara. I would have preferred the portions to be a little smaller. Excellent service and very friendly staff. The only downside was that we unfortunately had to wait quite a while for the last meal. I don't know what the problem was, but they apologized. Overall, a great place, even for a romantic dinner.

10/08/2025: What an unforgettable evening! We celebrated our son's birthday at the restaurant and couldn't have chosen a better place. The view of Lake Iseo is stunning. The menu satisfied everyone: the cuisine is excellent, with dishes that won over both adults and children. Furthermore, the staff was extremely kind and attentive to our needs.

28/08/2025: Yesterday I went here for dinner for the first time to celebrate a birthday, and we ate, or rather, overate. Fisherman's risotto, shrimp risotto, spaghetti with Portobello mushrooms, grilled swordfish, and fries (fresh potatoes, not frozen ones), fillet steak, mixed fried fish, octopus with potatoes, and finally lemon and strawberry sorbet. What can I say? Everything was delicious. Fast and attentive service, kind and helpful. Recommended.

02/08/2025: Eating well in Livigno, counterintuitively, is NOT easy at all. I've been frequenting this place for years and I've noticed a not-so-slow but inexorable decline in the quality of service, food, and relationships: perhaps it's overtourism... The S. Giovanni restaurant is a happy exception, discovered purely by chance and never abandoned: we've dined there four nights in a row since we "found" it, always experiencing friendliness, professionalism, a warm welcome, and authentic, tasty, and nutritious food—the kind your mother would cook for you (a mother who knows how to cook!!!). Fair prices, a casual and very warm atmosphere, and service that isn't always impeccable, but only because they're really crowded at peak times. There's room for improvement, and I'm sure they will. No, it's not (anymore) easy to eat well in Livigno, but people—many, many people—are learning to seek out and find the good mountain cuisine of the past in places like this, not settling for decoys that only lead to terrible experiences. I'll be back, we'll be back. Meanwhile, we send warm regards to the entire team and the very kind owner, wishing them continued success. E.D.

28/07/2025: I discovered this bakery purely by chance, partly because it had never been recommended to me. A great discovery, in my opinion. And in central Bergamo, a bakery that continues to churn out hot, delicious products all morning is a little oasis amidst a sea of ordinary bakeries. I had a calzone with friarelli and scamorza cheese and an escarole and olive calzone that were amazing, piping hot and melting in my mouth. Then I had a regular focaccia and a Roman focaccia. The freshly made focaccia was a real treat, crispy, melting, and nicely salted—wow! The gentleman who served me was very kind and friendly, and the line moved quickly. I recommend it to everyone who wants to eat well, without going to useless places where you might spend a lot and eat poorly.
