25/07/2025: We were passing by and hungry, so this restaurant came to mind. The menu is incredible; one dish includes a first course and a second course, both delicious and high-quality. The price is €15 for the menu, including water, coffee, and alcohol. The service was friendly and efficient, and the place is welcoming and clean. The food was carefully prepared and appetizingly presented. But what struck me most was the speed and courtesy of the service. As soon as we sat down, the young man came to our table to explain the specials of the day and take our order. He was truly professional and friendly! Furthermore, the restaurant has ample dirt parking, so you don't have to worry about finding a spot for your car. And if the weather permits, you can also choose to sit at the outdoor tables, enjoying the fresh air and the view. The only downside is that I don't recommend sitting at the indoor table in the back room under the air conditioning when it's on, as air comes out from underneath even when the louvers are facing upwards. I highly recommend this restaurant.

24/08/2025: New mobile home on a small campsite right on the lake. Perfect for exploring the surrounding area, with great restaurants within walking distance.

21/08/2025: First of all: I'd really like to give it six stars, but that's not possible. We've been here several times in twelve years. Since then, it's been constantly modernized, but the most important thing remains: a campsite with indescribable charm in a prime location with the best team ever! Here are a few facts: - Small bar with nice seating (drinks, snacks, ice cream, etc.) and a kiosk for morning rolls and basic groceries (there's a supermarket a few hundred meters away in town). - Great beach directly adjacent to the campsite. Like everywhere here, the lake is rocky, so I recommend bringing beach chairs with you if your camper's luggage space still allows it. - Modernized sanitary facilities, cleaned regularly, in top condition. Washing machine and dryer are available in the adjacent "Casa Sabina." - Well-maintained pitches of varying sizes. For the electrical connection, I recommend bringing an extension cord or cable reel. I once had the misfortune of not having enough power to reach the connection point, but that probably only happens at a few sites here. - Perfect location as a starting point for day trips: boat tour across Lake Maggiore (pier in Maccagno not far away), bus to Luino, for example, or by car to Val Veddasca, etc. And what else? - Relaxed people, relaxed atmosphere, simply great! We were always treated very well; they speak Italian, German, and English – no problem at all, everyone is always very helpful, and you get what you want. There is also the option of renting mobile homes here. We did that once, and it's just as highly recommended as the holiday apartments at Casa Sabina, which can also be booked through reception. Many thanks to the LagoCamp team; we'd love to come back!

15/08/2025: The food is subpar for an Italian restaurant, and the long queue at the open terrace and the traffic make dining there unpleasant. We wouldn't eat there again. The waiters do make an effort to be friendly and crack a joke here and there.

15/08/2025: Typical dishes and super pizza!! A stop that has never been missed on our vacations for 12 years!!

02/08/2025: Wir sind die Zweiten, die kommen und können einen genial schönen Tisch in der Ecke auslesen, direkt am Fenster mit Aussicht auf den herrlich gepflegten Park. Wunderbar. Ich nehme einen Friseesalat mit Wolfsbarschfilet und rosa Pfeffer. L. bekommt Tagliolini, hausgemacht mit Oliven und Lachs. Zum Hauptgang nimmt er Rinderfilet mit Kartoffeln und einer super feinen Soße. Und ich nehme Gnocchi mit Herzmuscheln an einer weissen Soße. Total lecker. Dazu gibt es ein Ruero Arneis. Die Bedienung ist sehr aufmerksam und herzlich. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt.

26/07/2025: Wat een feest om hier een week vakantie te mogen vieren. We hadden een mooie kamer met een prachtig terras met uitzicht op het Iseomeer. Al het personeel is even gastvrij en heel erg behulpzaam. Het ontbijt en diner zijn van zeer goede kwaliteit. Wij komen heel graag weer terug.

22/08/2025: A surprise in the center of Bormio. We chose it for a dinner as a couple based on the excellent reviews, and it did not disappoint. Delicious and refined dishes, an excellent selection of wines to suit all tastes, and attentive and courteous staff. If we were to return, it would be a must-visit. Reservations are recommended.

31/08/2025: The best food in Lake Como! We went to Varenna for the day and had lunch here. Excellent service from all the waiters, exquisite cuisine, delicious dishes, and gourmet decor. Quality service and food, with a very good wine and sparkling wine list. Desserts: an art!

29/08/2025: We had such a nice dinner here a couple of nights ago! The owner and his wife were so kind accommodating my husband and I for dinner (have a reservation in advance!). It was our favorite meal we had during our trip.

09/08/2025: Incorniciata da uno sfondo inconfondibile, quello del lago d'Iseo e, precisamente, nella località di Vello a Marone, Trattoria Glisenti è il posto ideale per trascorrere attimi rilassati immersi in un'atmosfera romantica, dove la tradizione culinaria e l'ottima cucina si amalgamano perfettamente. Non appena si percorre la bella scala d'ingresso, ci si ritrova all'interno di un'elegante sala ricevimenti, curata e ben arredata. Avendo prenotato anticipatamente, siamo riuscite a godere della meravigliosa vista panoramica al tramonto, dalla splendida terrazza. Il personale, altamente qualificato, è rimasto a disposizione per esporre in maniera impeccabile, tutti i piatti e i vini proposti. La cucina comprende prodotti tipicamente lacustri, che coniugano tradizione e qualità delle materie prime. Un'ulteriore nota positiva, mai scontata, è la pulizia di tutti gli ambienti (bagni compresi). E, per ultimo, il rapporto qualità-prezzo coerente per la serata trascorsa.

Reservations are recommended unless you're there right when it opens—but then you won't be sitting in the front row with a view of the mountains and Lake Como. 04/08/2025: After a few years I returned to this wonderful place, unpretentious, with a fixed menu because the lake food is excellent, and attentive service. The rice with perch was superb and plentiful. The owner is still number 1!!

20/07/2025: Ristorante tranquillo in un paese tranquillo. Abbiamo pranzato una domenica a pranzo nel dehor. Piatti della tradizione, con prodotti eccellenti e ben curati. Carta vini studiata e ricca. 05/08/2025: Uno dei migliori ristoranti in cui abbia mai mangiato a mani bassi. Fortunatamente ero ospite, ma i prezzi per i menù degustazione sono assolutamente alla portata di (quasi) tutti! Al di la del cibo che era sensazionale, la cosa che più ci ha colpito è stata la professionalità dei giovani in sala. Un servizio stellato, ma con una leggerezza che fa sentire a proprio agio nonostante il livello della ristorazione. Veramente complimenti! (Carta vini molto interessante!)

27/07/2025: Abbiamo avuto il piacere di tornare alla Trattoria Contemporanea di Lomazzo per festeggiare il nostro anniversario di matrimonio, e devo dire che è stata una piacevole conferma di quanto già avevamo apprezzato in passato. L’atmosfera è accogliente e raffinata, perfetta per un’occasione speciale come questa. Il personale è sempre gentile e attento, rendendo il momento ancora più speciale. La cucina, come sempre, è deliziosa: piatti curati, sapori autentici e presentazioni eleganti. È stato davvero un modo splendido per celebrare il nostro anniversario, e sicuramente torneremo ancora per rivivere questa esperienza così piacevole. Consiglio vivamente questa trattoria a chi cerca un luogo intimo e di qualità a Lomazzo!

02/08/2025: We sat at the terrace, more like a balcony over the river, of this cosy restaurant. The menue looks avarage at first but isn't on closer look, so we could choose some interesting variants of well known dishes. Small portions with great taste. You don't go here to stuff your stomach. This place is to enjoy every bite you taste. Be aware: the blue cheesecake desert is full of Gorgonzola taste!

26/07/2025: Fantastic experience. The restaurant is in a very convenient location, near the Carrara/Gamec cultural center. Open late. The staff is kind, friendly, and knowledgeable. The dishes are a delight for the palate and the eyes. The prices? Unexpected. More than fair, considering the quality of the dishes. I absolutely recommend it, I hope to return soon!
