Try out the Portofino and Aglio e Olio, they make it so gut. The Spritz are also excellent on point. Absolutely amazing place with kind service.

18/05/2025: At Cascina Castello we felt at home. Very good food and everything homemade or local. Excellent Ciliegiolo wine. Very kind and helpful staff. Wonderful place in the middle of nature. Also great with children. The road to get there is a little narrow at the end, but it's worth it.

23/06/2025: Il posto è molto carino, curato, non troppo grande. Ho preso gli spaghetti alle vongole favolosi con un sughino buonissimo. Il mio compagno ha preso il tonno in crosta, particolare e buonissimo. In più tutti erano cortesi e supedisponibili. Uno di quei posticini curati con amore, molto consigliato.

11/07/2025: A wonderful discovery in the Scoffera area. Attentive and friendly service, we truly enjoyed a delightful early summer evening in a family-run restaurant. Truly delicious dishes: exquisite tagliolini with mushrooms and herbs, delicious venison, and a truly worthy egg-based main course. And then the dessert, a reinterpretation of the Saint Honoré tart, delicious—we could have eaten six plates. We'll definitely be back to try the fish dishes. We're so happy!

06/07/2025: A discovery that is good for the heart, as well as the belly! My wife and I went to this restaurant, almost by chance. It is true that good things happen when you least expect them. Davide welcomes us, a rare kindness, attentive, friendly, passionate and the true creator of the dishes (unique, you will not find them anywhere), as well as a wine expert. Raw materials of excellent quality, from the vegetables and flowers from their biodynamic garden, to the Cabannina meat and the fish (which we will assign next time), which is selected only from a certain area of ​​the Ligurian Sea. The dishes: a dandelion risotto with candied celery, cream of peas and jasmine flowers! A surprising and balanced taste, truly delicious. Corn tacos with hummus and seasonal vegetables with dozens of colorful edible flowers that gave an overwhelming aroma in the mouth. A Genoese mixed fry like the one of the past, fried very well, light and crunchy and not at all greasy. An egg pochette with fondue on top of a brioche bread dipped in a tomato sauce... crazy! Not to mention the desserts: it would be worth going just for those! I couldn't even describe them again but they left us speechless for their taste and lightness. All this while drinking a delicious Ciliegiolo and finishing with a digestive of their production with herbs from their garden. We finish the dinner and go to meet the chef and pastry chef, two very kind and super friendly Genoese gentlemen. We were very happy, the people first and then what we ate really moved us. We will return as soon as possible!

23/05/2025: È raro uscire da un ristorante con la sensazione di aver vissuto qualcosa di davvero speciale, ma è esattamente quello che è successo dopo la cena da Hostaria Ducale. Ci siamo trovati lì quasi per caso, in una serata genovese di pioggia leggera, e sin dall’ingresso abbiamo percepito una cura fuori dal comune. Il locale è raccolto, intimo, arredato con gusto ma senza ostentazioni. Non c'è musica di sottofondo: solo voci basse, piatti che arrivano con grazia, e una certa sospensione del tempo. Il servizio è stato impeccabile. I camerieri si muovono in silenzio, presenti ma mai invadenti. Una ragazza in particolare ci ha accompagnati per tutta la cena con discrezione e gentilezza, rispondendo alle nostre curiosità con chiarezza e senza fretta. Non c’è nulla di affettato nei loro modi: si sente che ci tengono davvero a farti stare bene. Abbiamo scelto il percorso degustazione da otto portate, e ogni piatto è stato un piccolo viaggio. Indimenticabile il risotto con anguilla affumicata, un equilibrio perfetto tra cremosità, affumicatura e acidità. Il piccione con foie gras è arrivato come un’opera teatrale ben costruita: cottura magistrale, sapori profondi, senza eccessi. Anche i dessert, spesso trascurati altrove, qui brillano per inventiva e precisione.

23/07/2025: We made reservations at this restaurant on Sunday at 9:30 PM. Although they hadn't raised any issues with our reservation time, we felt like they were rushing us into dinner. As soon as we arrived, with time for another couple to leave, the waiters began cleaning and rearranging the room (presumably for breakfast the next day). I also didn't appreciate the waiter's interruption during dinner: while my friend was finishing her dish, he immediately came to take it away even though I was still eating, jokingly asking if I didn't like the dish and if we wanted to order something else. I would have appreciated it if they had warned me that my reservation time was too late, instead of having this service. On the other hand, the dinner was very good.

13/07/2025: Spurred on by the good reviews, we dined here last night. The mussel marinara was really good, and the clam pasta dishes were good, but nothing special. Service was a bit chaotic, but the girls were very kind.

24/05/2025: Hemos utilizado este bar durante muchos años, es consistente en todo, buen rollo, servicio fabuloso y una gran selección de bebidas, con una hamburguesa a 8 euros (si te apetece uno! ) - el bar ha dado tanto placer a lo largo de los años y recomendaría totalmente a cualquiera para visitar y disfrutar .

17/06/2025: Excellent focaccia! I am a true lover of cheese focaccia and the ones you find here are really excellent, light, thin pastry, perfectly cooked and many different and original toppings. The ones with Cheese focaccia with gorgonzola and pears and with bacon and courgettes are good We also tried their appetizers: Fried anchovies, fried panissa and fried sage, truly exceptional! Recommended! You can also take away and eat on the beach or on the promenade.

04/06/2025: I came here in 2021 and was pleasantly surprised by both the location and the food. I'm coming back now and I find everything has changed... the location is still wonderful but while it was once full of tables (you could never find a place even if you booked a week in advance) now there were only 4 cats on the weekend. We order some cheese focaccias and some similar baked sofficini arrive, fried panissa (good), then mezzelune in walnut sauce and mandilli with pesto both totally cold and not even decent. Finally the tiramisu was quite good. I don't know if the management has changed or something else but it certainly doesn't make me want to go back. I'm sorry because in the past I had a great time

31/05/2025: Servizio efficiente e gentile, luogo panoramico su tutta la città, menù elaborato, vario è buonissimo. Eravamo almeno 50 persone e siamo stati comodi dentro. Fuori c’erano almeno altri 20 clienti.
